guroreko hi jダnダti svar┣paṁ devamavyayam | taj-jñダnaṁ tatprasダdena nダnyathダ Wダstrakoṭibhīḥ || 301 ||
- It is the Guru alone who knows the real nature and form, Svarupa of the Imperishable Lord. That knowledge of the Supreme is by His (Guru's) grace (tat-prダsad) and there is no other way. Even through crores of scriptures one cannot attain that knowledge.

svar┣pajñダnaW┣nyena k条tamapyak条taṁ bhavet | tapojapダdikaṁ devī sakalaṁ bダlajalpavat || 302 ||
- Without the knowledge of the Self (Svar┣pa), whatever act is done becomes fruitless. O Devī, penance, chanting of mantras, etc., everything becomes like the prattling of a child.
