sarvakダlavideWeṣu svatantro niWcalas-sukhī | akanḍaikarasダsvダda-t条pto hi paramo guruḥ || 290 ||
- One who is independent at all times and places, who possesses an immovable and ever happy inner-space, who is satisfied in the blissful taste of the one indivisible, unified essence (akhanḍa-ekrasa) (of the ゾtman) is certainly the Parama Guru, Supreme Master.

dvaitダdvaita-vinirmuktaḥ svダnubh┣tiprakダṣavダn | ajñダna-andhatamWchettダ sarvajñaḥ paramo guruḥ || 291 ||
- One who is free from duality and non-duality (dvaita-advaita), who is self-effulgent and shines by the light of His own experience (svダnubh┣ti) and cuts through the deep darkness of ignorance and destroys it, and who is the All-Knower (sarvajña) - is the Parama Guru, Supreme Master.

yasya darWan-mダtreṇa manasaḥ syダt prasannatダ | svayaṁ bh┣yダt dh条tiW-Wダntiḥ sa bhavet paramo guruḥ || 292 ||
- By whose mere DarWan (vision), the mind becomes delighted with great joy (prasannatダ)ś and firm patience and peacefulness (dh条ti-Wanti) happens by itself, he is certainly the Parama Guru, Supreme Master.

siddhijダlam samダlokya yoginダṁ mantravダdinダm | tucchダkダra-manov条ttir-yasyダsau paramo guruḥ || 293 ||
- Beholding the network of extraordinary powers (Siddhis) of the Yogis and of the Mantravダdins (those learned in power of Mantras), one who has the mental determination—'all this is nothing but straw'—he is the Parama Guru, Supreme Master.

svaWarīraṁ Wavaṁ paWyan tathダ paWyan svダtmanam-advayam | yaḥ strīkanaka-mohaghnaḥ sa bhavet paramo guruḥ || 294 ||
- One who looks upon his own body as a corpse, and his own Self as the non-dual (Brahman), who is the destroyer of the delusion of women (pleasure) and gold (greed), he is the Parama Guru.
