akhaṇḍaikarasaṁ brahma nityamuktaṁ nirダmayaṁ | svasmin sandarWitaṁ yena sa bhavedasyam deWikaḥ || 287 ||

jalダnダṁ sダgaro rダjダ yathダ bhavati pダrvati | guruṇダṁ tatra sarveṣダṁ rダjダyダṁ paramo guruḥ || 288 ||

  1. One who enables the disciple to see within himself the one indivisible, unified essence (akhanḍa-ekrasa) Brahma, that is eternally free, free from disease, only he becomes his savior and Guru (DeWika).

  2. Just as the ocean is the king of waters, O Pダrvati, in the same way, a Parama Guru, Supreme Master is the king among all the Masters.

(DeWika means the Demonstrator or Spiritual Teacher who explains and points out the Truth to our intelligence, so we may properly and precisely internalize the Truth into our experience.)

mohダdirahitaḥ Wダnto nityat条ipto nirダWrayaḥ | t条nīk条t-brahma-viṣṇu-vaibhavaḥ paramo guruḥ || 289 ||

  1. A Parama Guru is one who is devoid of delusion (moha), etc., who is peaceful, eternally-satisfied, non-dependent on anything or anyone, who considers even the grandeur of the status of Brahma, Viṣṇu as a mere straw.
