jダpyena jayamダpanoti japa siddhiṁ phalaṁ tathダ | hīnaṁ karma tyajetsarvaṁ garhitasthダnameva ca || 239 ||

239. By doing this chanting, one attains the success and the fruit of japa-siddhi undoubtedly. One should abandon all forbidden acts and also renounce forbidden places.

240. One should do the chanting (of Guru Gītダ) in cremation grounds, under the bilva tree or a banyan (vaṭ) tree or a kanaka tree or near a mango tree for attainment of success.
