- O Pダrvati, I am the unseen. I am unreachable by speech and mind. I am without name and form. I am inexpressible by word or speech directly. Know Me thus, this is my natural state of Being.
Verses 161, 162, 163 give us the method of meditation on the Self, on Viva. For the Self can never be an object, so it cannot be expressed directly by the mind or taught or realized as IDAM or this. It is always TAT or that, and can be realized only by ゾtman or Self as 'I'. I am Brahman—Aham Brahmasmi, So'ham, Vivoham, Nithyanandoham.

- Just as a smell is inherent and natural with camphor, flowers, etc., just as heat and cold are natural with fire and ice, so also, in Brahman the Eternity is natural.
(Brahman is changeless and permanent).
