s┣ta s┣ta mahaprダjña nigamダgampダragam | gurusvarupam-asmダkaṁ br┣hi sarvamalダpaham || 2 ||
2. The Sages saidŚ O S┣ta, the great wise one, O S┣ta, who has acquired thorough mastery over the Nigamas and ゾgamas (the cosmically descended eternal vedic principles and rituals), please narrate to us the Gurusvar┣pa, the true essence and nature of Guru, which has the power to remove all impurities and patterns.
(Agamas are the implementation of the science of the Vedas (Vedic principles) and the Nigamas are the texts revealing the rituals and injunctions contained in the Vedic SaWtras.)
