Vidya Vishwanathan, who accused Nithyananda of outraging and hurting religious sentiments. signed the agreement on Sept 2009 and hence could not object to anything related to sex and sexually explicit material at the Dhyanapeetham Ashram.

Nithvananda and the ashram management did their best to keep themselves immune from controversies by including several clauses in the same agreement.

A3, the most important clause, reads: "Volunteer (Vishwanathan) understands that the programme may involve the learning and practice of ancient tantric secrets associated with male and female ecstasy, including the use of sexual energy for increased intimacy/spiritual connection, pleasure, harmony and freedom. Volunteer understands that these activities could be physically and mentally challenging and may involve nudity,

access to visual images, graphic visual depictions and description of nudity and sexual activity, close physical proximity and intimacy, verbal and written descriptions and audio sounds of sexually-oriented and erotic nature etc. By reading and signing this addendum, the volunteer irrevocably acknowledges that he/she is voluntarily giving his unconditional acceptance of such activities and discharges the leader and the foundation, and anyone else not specifically mentioned here but directly or indirectly involved in the organisation, management or conduct of any such programmes from any liability, direct or indirect arising from such activities"

CID officials are examining the veracity of the video content obtained from a hard disk seized during its first raid. According to CID officials, the hard disk carries some 30 clippings, in which Nithvananda is seen with a number of female followers in compromising situations. "There are many girls in different clippings. Footages show Nithyananda with girls in different sexual positions," CID sources said.
