gurugītダkṣaraikaikaṁ mantrarダjダmidaṁ priye | anye ca vividhダ mantrダḥ kalダṁ nダrhanti ṣoḍaWīm || 213 ||

  1. O dear Pダrvati, every letter and syllable of this Guru Gītダ is each a mantra-rダja, the king among mantras. Other mantras, manifold in nature, do not deserve the credit even one sixteenth part of this.

anantaphalam-ダpnoti gurugītダjapen tu | sarvapダpaharダ devī sarva-dダridrya-nダWinī || 214 ||

  1. One acquires endless fruits by the repetition of the Guru Gītダ. It destroys all sins, O Devī, and it removes all poverty.

akダlam条tyuhartri ca sarvasaṅkaṭ-nダWīnī | yakṣa-rダkṣasa-bh┣tダdi-cor-vyダg条vighダtinī || 215 ||

  1. The study of the Guru Gītダ puts an end to untimely death and all afflictions. It also destroys the evil effects of yakṣas, rダkṣasas, bh┣tas, fear of thieves, tigers, etc.

sarvopad条va-kuṣṭhダdi-duṣṭadoṣanivariṇī | yatphalaṁ gurusダnnidhyダ-tatphalaṁ paṭhanダdbhavet || 216 ||

  1. The study of the Guru Gītダ removes all afflictions, troubles, diseases like leprosy and great sins. By the study of Guru Gītダ, one derives the fruit of the sacred company of the Guru, Gurusダnnidhya.

mahダvyダdhiharダ sarvavibh┣teḥ siddhidadダ bhavet | athvダ mohane vaWye svayameva japetsadダ || 217 ||

  1. The Guru Gītダ becomes the bestower of all the extraordinary powers—Siddhis and all divine opulences, riches (sarva-vibh┣ti) and remover of all kinds of diseases. In cases of the illusive powers like the act of deluding others (mohana) and keeping others in submission to one's will (vaWya), one should always do the chanting of this Guru Gītダ.

(Mohana is deluding others. Vasya is keeping others in control, in submission to one's will. One can use Guru Gītダ for nullifying the effect of mohana and vasya practised by others.)

kuWd┣rvダsane devī hyダsane Wubh条akambale | upaviWya tato devi japed-ekダg条a-mダnasaḥ || 218 ||

  1. Seated on a mat of kuWa grass (dried straw) or d┣rva grass (fresh grass) or a seat made of white blanket, one should repeat the chanting (japa) with one-pointedness and concentration of mind.

Wuklaṁ sarvatra vai proktaṁ vaWye raktダsanaṁ priye | padmダsane japen-nityaṁ WダntivaWyakaraṁ param || 219 ||

  1. A white seat is recommended for all purposes. Red color is used for vaWya. One should sit in the lotus posture (padmダsana) and chant for acquiring peace supreme.

vastrダsane ca dダrid条yaṁ pダṣダṇe rogasambhavaḥ | medinyダṁ duḥkhamダpnoti kダṣṭhe bhavati niṣphalam || 220 ||

  1. If the chanting is done sitting on a seat made of cloth, one gets povertyś disease, if seated on a stoneś if seated on the ground, pain accruesś and if seated on a wooden seat, one accrues no fruit or the effort goes in vain.

k条ṣṇダjine jñダnasiddhirmokṣa-Wrīrvyダgh条acarmaṇi | kuWダsane jñダnasiddhiḥ sarvダsiddhistu kambale || 221 ||

  1. If seated on deer-skin, one attains knowledge (jñダna), and if seated on tiger-skin, one attains mokṣa. If seated on kuWa grass-seat one gets the knowledge of the Self (jñダna-siddhi), and if seated on a woolen seat one acquires all extraordinary powers (siddhis).

ダgneyyダṁ karṣaṇaṁ caiva vダyダvyダṁ WatrunダWanam | nair-rtyダṁ darWanaṁ caiva īWダnyダṁ jñダnameva ca || 222 ||

  1. By doing the chanting of Guru Gītダ facing South-East, one gets powers to attract others, facing North-West one will have no enemies, facing South-West one will have vision (of Divine) and facing North-East one acquires knowledge.

udaṇgmukhaḥ Wダntijapye vaWye p┣rvamukhastathダ | yダmye tu mダraṇaṁ proktaṁ paWcime ca dhanダgamaḥ || 223 ||

  1. Facing North during chanting one becomes peaceful, facing East one will attract others, facing South one meets death and facing West one acquires plenty of wealth.

mohanaṁ sarvabh┣tダnダṁ bandhamokṣakaraṁ param | devarダjñダṁ priyakaraṁ rダjダnダṁ vaWamダnayet || 224 ||

  1. This Guru Mantra has the power to attract all. It destroys all bonds and causes liberation. It makes Indra (the King of Heaven) favorable to you. It brings under your control even kings.

mukhastambhakaraṁ caiva guṇダnダṁ ca vivirdhanam | duṣkarmanダWanaṁ caiva tathダ satkarmasiddhidam || 225 ||

  1. This Mantra has the power to stop one's power of speech. It increases one's virtues. It destroys all evil karmas and intensifies good actions.

prasiddhaṁ sダdhayetkダryaṁ navag条abhayダpahaṁ | duḥsvapna-nダṣダnaṁ caiva susvapna-phaladダyakam || 226 ||

  1. One attains success in all actions including those considered unsuccessful and impossible. It is the remover of the fear of evil influences of the nine planets. It totally destroys all evil dreams and bestows the fruit of good dreams.

mohaWダntikaraṁ caiva bandhamokṣakaraṁ param | svar┣pajñana-nilayaṁ gītダWダstramidaṁ Wive || 227 ||

  1. O Vive (auspicious one), this Gītダ Vダstra brings peace where there is confusion and restlessness. It brings liberation from all bondages. It is the storehouse of all knowledge and particularly, Svar┣pa Jñダna, the knowledge of the Self.
