1. Sarvajnapeetha - Think Tank of Hinduism

The Vedic Age

The Vedic Civilization is the eternally living enlightened civilization, called Sanatana Hindu Dharma that traces its historical continuity from 1900 million years, the time period that marks the beginning of human civilization. This civilization flourished in the sacred land of Bharatvarsha, which is planet earth itself, yet specifically the land called 'Bharat' or 'Aryavrat' below the Himalayas, the highest mountain ranges. The perfect protection by the mighty Himalayas and the surrounding seas have always awarded Bharat with best weather conditions and geography, allowing the most safe, peaceful atmosphere and abundant natural resources. All these Divinely arranged phenomena caused the flowering and spreading of the greatest Enlightened Civilization of the most evolved, conscious human beings who lived like Gods on planet earth.

On the banks of Ganges-Sarasvati Civilization, in the forests of Naimisharanya, inhabited by millions of awakened beings and those on the path of awakening, exists the all-knowing spiritual seat of infinite knowledge or Sarvajnapeetha – the Divine throne graced by the all-knowing, all-powerful, all-pervading Source of Consciousness embodied as the Adi Guru, the original Master. Under the canopy of the celestial wish-fulfilling Banyan Tree or Kalpataru, the Sarvajnapeetha vibrates the Sacred Knowledge, grasped by the Divine view of the Vedic Rishis, the eternal sages.

The Vedas (sacred scriptures) such as the Rig Veda and Puranas (cosmic history), such as the Ramayana, Mahabharat and the Srimad Bhagavatam, give detailed records about the congregations of sages and saints in Naimisharanya, presided over by Incarnations and Enlightened Ones such as Sri Veda Vyasa and Saunaka Rishi. Here were composed the world's greatest scriptures and performed the grand sacrifices for world peace and conscious human evolution.

Sarvajnapeetha The Vedic Renaissance

Vedic civilization stands on three core foundations:

  • ® The seat of knowledge and philosophy that preserves the Vedic wisdom e.g. Mahanirvani Peetha, Madurai Adeenam.
  • ® Sacred Arts and Architecture e.g. temples, kingdoms.
  • ® The seat of language the perfect, most refined linguistic expression of the Truth. e.g. Kashi in North Bharat (Samskrit) and Tamil Sangam in South Bharat (Tamil).

Whenever there comes danger to any of these core foundations, the All-knowing Spiritual Seat of Knowledge or Sarvajnapeetha, through its presiding Master, descends as the 'Jagadguru' to revive, protect and radiate Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism for the whole of human civilization.

Establishing Hindu Temples

The temple is conceived as the physical form of God. The garbhagriha (womb room) represents the head and the gopura (tower) the feet of the Deity.

The sukanasi or ardhamantapa (small enclosure in front of the garbhagriha) is the nose; the antarala is the neck; the various mantapas are the body; the prakaras are the hands. Vertically, the garbhagriha represents the neck, the shikhara (superstructure over the garbhagriha) the head, the kalasha (finial) the tuft of hair (shikha).

The mystical ceremony of prana pratishta, breathing life into matter, creates a living deity having its own independent intelligence. Only living incarnations can perform this rare, mystical process. In regular temples, priests invoke the deity's energy through mantra prathishta or sacred chants.
