Take the large sponge and show it to the class. Ask everyone what it is. Can it absorb water? What does the water represent? Answer: Love If we are an open person, able to give and receive love we are able to be fill ed with lov e ...just like the spong e . Demonstrate how the sponge absorbs the water and is filled to overflowing. The sponge is able to float on the water and also absorb at the same time. Like the sponge, we need to be open, living life as an open and beautiful person who is also able to be full of love and happily live life. But the stone is hard and closed with no love. It is neither able to absorb love nor live life happily. Demonstrate how it is not able to absorb the water of love. You can pour water over it but the water only runs down with no effect. Also when it is dropped into the water, it only sinks! What do you want to be? The sponge or the stone? Give each of them a sponge and let them all have their sponges absorb the water, and show how they can be open and filled with love.
