Living in The Ananda Gandha
About Kailasa
Hinduism is the most ancient, most peaceful, still-living and longlasting demonstrable system that shows the possibility of peaceful co-existence amongst people despite fundamental differences in their preferences and realities.
Over the last 50 years, the effects of meditation and its significant impact on stress, crime rates, violence, political decision making and even war in local and global consciousness is well established. Hinduism was once practiced freely in over 56 nations across the continent from Afghanistan, Bharat, Nepal, Burma, Sri Lanka, all the way to Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia and Indonesia, and in 200 states, 1700 samasthanas (provinces) and 10,000 sampradayas (traditions).
KAILASA with de facto spiritual embassies operating across over 100 countries and having presence across the globe as the largest spiritual knowledge source on Hinduism is spiritually governed with the life positive, all-inclusive, universal policies sourced from Hinduism revived by THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.
Having enriched and enreached more than one billion individuals over the past 27 years the KAILASA raises the voice to protect Hindus, defend Hindus and preserve the Hindu narrative for the world.
Preface
Living in the Ananda Gandha is a compilation of a series of discourses and meditations given by a mahacharya at Dhyanapeetam Ashram in Bidadi, Bharat in the spring of 2007. The participants were so inspired that they themselves transcribed the recordings and began the process of turning them into this book, Living in the Ananda Gandha, so that all Nithya Spiritual Healers could share in the process. So fasten your seatbelts and prepare for an express journey into the heart of your Ananda Gandha – the very center of nithyananda itself. This ride is a must for all healers!
In order to utilize the meditations, you must have been initiated as a Nithya Spiritual Healer by the master, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.
Introduction
Imagine an ant on a big iceberg, a thick slab of ice floating on the ocean. If it tries to bore a hole through the ice, how much time will it take? How many years, God only knows! But if somebody drills a hole through the ice, the ant can simply fall through the hole into the ocean.
This is exactly how the master initiates us into the Ananda Gandha. He is in the state of nithyananda – eternal bliss. In that ultimate state beyond the limitations of time, space, form, mind, he transcends all these. So, from this highest state of consciousness, he can pull us up from the state of maya, the fantasy world, the emotional imbalances that we are caught in.
If only we allow him to, if we just extend our hand slightly, he can simply pull us up. But, if we tie our hands behind our back, he cannot force us to come up. As the master says, 'God is the perfect gentleman. He will give you the freedom to remain in bondage, because if he forces the freedom on us, even the freedom will not remain freedom because it is forced.'
When the master does the healers initiation, he opens the gate to pull us into his state of eternal bliss just like drilling a hole through the thick ice slab and pulling the ant into the ocean of bliss.
He is actually pulling us into the state of samadhi he is always in. There are 2 types of samadhi: savikalpa samadhi and nirvikalpa samadhi.
Savikalpa samadhi is when you drop attachment to all forms except the form of the master or God. For example, Ramakrishna dropped attachment to all forms except to the form of Mother Kali. Nirvikalpa samadhi is when you drop attachment to all forms. For example, Ramana Maharishi did not have attachment to any form. Savikalpa samadhi is easy to practice but in the end, to realize the ultimate, you have to drop the attachment to that last form and that is tough.
Nirvikalpa samadhi is difficult to practice but to realize the ultimate is seamless. Ananda Gandha initiation is a beautiful technique designed by the master where first you visualize the smiling face of the master and fall into savikalpa samadhi; his laughing form just pulls you into the Ananda Gandha. Then, you drop the form as the energy flows through you. So, you make a quantum leap into nirvikalpa samadhi effortlessly.
In The Master'S Words:
"Shankara says beautifully, 'Three things are difficult in life. First is manushyatva, the human birth. The second, which is rarer is mumukshatva, having the desire and the urge to search for a consciousness beyond ordinary human life. The third and the rarest is mahapurusha-sangam, being with an enlightened master and having his darshan.'
Of 1 crore (10,000,000) living beings, only 1000 get human birth. Of the 1000 human beings, hardly 10 strive for knowing the Truth and of those 10, hardly 1 or 2 meet a master.
Whether you realize it or not, all you healers assembled here have got all these three. You have a human body. You have the urge to know the truth; if it had not been so, you would not have sat for ASP, NSP, BSP and then done the healers' initiation. And you have a living enlightened master with you. If you have these three and still miss, your life is wasted.
Sat chit ananda, all three will exist together if you are in that consciousness. They are all one consciousness. Sat (truth), chit (consciousness) and ananda (bliss) will exist together.
Being in the Ananda Gandha will not only give good physical and mental health but will also give you the clarity to handle anything that happens in the outer world. You will be able to handle your emotions properly.
For example, anger: As of now, if you are angry with someone. After shouting at the other person, the fire will burn you as much as it burnt him. You will be disturbed for the same half hour that the other person is disturbed.
But, if you are in Ananda Gandha, you will have the clarity and awareness to use the anger but be completely unaffected by it.
It is like using a knife to cut vegetables. You pick up the knife to cut vegetables and when you are finished cutting, you put it down. Do you carry the knife with you always saying that your job is to cut vegetables?
So, healing is just a side-effect of the Ananda Gandha meditation. The real effect is the transformation that happens in you, your consciousness. It is not even a growth; it is a quantum leap to a different plane.
Stay in the Ananda Gandha 24 hours, whether you are eating, driving, or breathing. The gateway to Ananda Gandha is in the region above the manipuraka chakra and below the anahata chakra. Understand this is the gateway to the Ananda Gandha in the physical body; the Ananda Gandha actually exists beyond the physical body.
Initially, you would be doing the Ananda Gandha meditation for half an hour every day. The mind will wander and you will try to bring the awareness to the Ananda Gandha whenever you remember. Ultimately, you should be in Ananda Gandha 24 hours.
I am not saying you should force yourself and concentrate on the Ananda Gandha chakra. Just bring your awareness to the Ananda Gandha constantly in a relaxed mood.
Be in Ananda Gandha for the next 24 hours. When you are really in Ananda Gandha, you are beyond body consciousness. If you are truly in Ananda Gandha, in the evening, when we have the fire-walking, you will not feel you are walking on fire. You will feel you are walking on a bed of flowers rather than a bed of fire."
(from Healer's Day address, December 30, 2006 at Bidadi Ashram)
Nithyanandam!
Living in Ananda Gandha. This is a wonderful meditation program. And this is the ultimate gift the master wants to give to 'his own hands' – the healers. Are all of you healers? Is there anybody who didn't finish the healer initiation program? OK.
Living in the Ananda Gandha is enlightenment. The master used to say repeatedly, "Whenever you live in Ananda Gandha you are enlightened." In all those moments you are enlightened. In those minutes whether you are aware or not, you are living your enlightenment even though in that moment, your consciousness is not enough expanded to imbibe or understand all the changes happening inside your system during the Ananda Gandha meditation or during healing. We have so many miracles happening inside our system.
Recently I read an article – a beautiful article - a research report. A physician did this research. He selected a group of patients, all of whom needed knee surgery. All of the patients were having problems with their knees - in the knee joint or the knee bone or the nerve. Some of the problems related only to the knee joint area. He selected 30 patients and divided them into half: 15 in one group and 15 in the other. For one group of 15 people who were selected, he did the operation as per the procedure. The operation went as usual. The rest of the 15 people did not undergo the operation but all of them also underwent the same procedure. They were taken to the ICU, put under general anesthesia, and then the knee area was made to look like it would if they had had the operation. The doctors did a small incision and they sutured the area. However, the
operation did not happen The maximum thing what they did was just incise the area, suture and bandage the area and leave the leg in a safe position, the same way they left those who actually had the operation. A miracle happened! The 15 people who underwent surgery got healed and also the 15 people who didn't undergo the surgery got healed. Both the groups got healed!
This effect is marvelous. The doctor concludes that this result was caused by the placebo effect. The placebo effect means if you have a headache, instead of giving a headache tablet, the doctor will give a sugar-coated tablet, an ordinary tablet - placebo, and he will tell you that this tablet will cure you. After you take the tablet, the headache or the disease will disappear. This effect is called placebo effect. There is another effect, called the nocebo effect. Nosebo effect means you will not have any problem, but you will go to the doctor and ask for some treatment. The doctor will give you a tablet and tell you that the tablet will have a particular kind of side effect. The side effect will appear in your system.
Actually that tablet also is a sugar-coated tablet only, but the suggestion was negative. Then they discovered that the side effects also started appearing without the patient taking the tablet. This research was conducted in many areas, especially in the US where two thirds of the population is in depression. One third of the Hindu population is taking depression tablets continuously. So with government approval, they released a large amount of sugar coated tablets in the company name. And after the test period was over, they found the tablets which did not have the chemical combination would release the patients from depression - an ordinary tablet with just the sugar content and no chemical combination, relieved them. It relieved them. Out of 100 tablet vials, 80 would be real and 20 would be sugar-coated. Whether the patient was receiving placebo tablets or real tablets, even the doctor would not know. And they found the same result with 100 patients. In the same way that the real depression tablets worked, the sugar coated tablets worked. And this whole research they titled 'The Placebo Effect'.
From this you have to understand one thing. Whether you title the whole thing, 'The Placebo Effect' or put it under some other title, it is a marvelous thing. What happened is an awesome thing because a sugar coated tablet is able to heal the disease. A small incision is able to heal an existing knee problem which, according to the diagnosis, cannot be healed without an operation. But just with a small incision the problem was healed. And people wonder about this. The doctors who are prejudiced came to the conclusion, 'Ah, it's the placebo effect' as though they know everything. 'Ah, it's the placebo effect.' We just dismiss the result by saying, 'Ah, it's the placebo effect.' No! It is something great. An ordinary sugar tablet is able to heal the disease! That means something great. It's something miraculous. If we use the technology properly, if we tap the formula properly, we can do the healing continuously without the tablet itself. Even the sugar tablet is not needed.
THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM did this. Without tablets, he is tapping the innate inherent inner healing energy. He discovered that formula. Through the ages, from ancient times, so many sages have been working in this field to give healing energy to people. So many people have worked in this area. At the maximum what they were able to do – the sages who learned that art – the people who understood that formula - was heal, that's all. They could not reproduce the healers. But in the whole of human history – for the first time THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM discovered the formula and reproduced the formula and created so many hands.
The placebo effect: the ordinary sugar tablet is able to tap a kind of energy in our system. It is not that the ordinary sugar tablet doesn't have that energy; it worked as a via media. Throughout that via energy - the sugar tablet - the healing energy was awakened. Also, wherever an ordinary incision in the knee healed patients, it happened as a via media. So this via media can be anything. The via energy can be anything but the effect is what is important. The healing energy was tapped - even without an operation. Science did not explore the formula of how this works because awareness and consciousness is needed. If awareness and consciousness is not increased, an ordinary man cannot discover the formula. Since the masters have that awareness and the high consciousness, they penetrated inside the process and they discovered the formula. That is the whole healing process behind what our healers are doing. During healing, we are not aware of how these things are happening, but healing is taking place.
Bruce Lifton wrote an excellent book called Biology of Belief. If you have the opportunity, please read it. It will expand your consciousness itself. It is a very nice book. His whole book makes one statement. The whole book stands for one statement, one concept: the whole research - everything - stands for one statement. Up to now, we all think the nucleus of the cell controls the cell. 'The activities, the digestion, metabolism - everything - is controlled and managed by the nucleus,' is the opinion of the modern man and modern scientist. But Bruce Lifton shakes this opinion at its root. He says that the intelligence and the control is not in the nucleus: it is in the cell wall. He declares this and the whole book supports this statement. He gives a great deal of evidence.
In 1960, one research experiment was conducted in this regard. What they did was to remove the nucleus from the cell. After the nucleus was removed, the cell survived the same number of days that a typical cell was expected to survive; that many days the cell survived. Nothing happened. No damage happened to that cell except that the cell was not able to reproduce itself. It lost its reproductive quality, that's all. But the cell survived. The metabolism, the respiration, the digestion, everything survived – none of the function was disturbed. In 1960 this was published and it is recorded.
But somehow the prejudiced scientists did not explore this phenomenon. Now this doctor, Bruce Lifton, has worked in that area and he has proved that the intelligence and the awareness exists in the cell wall, the cell membrane, not in the nucleus of the cell.
By the same token, this intelligence and awareness does not exist in our brain, as we think. Up to now, we have been thinking that we are handling the body through the brain. No. The brain is not controlling the body. The brain is not controlling the activity of the body. Through scientific data, it has been proven that the brain controls the respiration,
the digestion - the blood circulation - everything. According to science, only the nervous system is controlling the whole body's neuronal activities. Everybody thinks that. As per the scientific data, the brain, which is like the nucleus of the cell, is controlling the whole body and the activities - but it is not. When you understand deeply, it is not! Your brain is not controlling your body. In the same way that the intelligence and awareness exists in the cell membrane of a cell - the intelligence and awareness of the body exists in our aura - outside the body. The major coordination of the body exists on the outside.
And the scientists show that the cell moves and functions through the alteration of the external environment. They explain a beautiful process. In the cell there are two kinds of protein: receptor protein and acceptor protein. Two kinds of protein exist there. Proteins with some kind of chemical act like an intelligent mechanism and make the decision whether to react or not based on the environment – by the changes happening in the environment. After that the protein makes the decision whether the cell can move or not. That is decided by the protein spreading around the cell membrane. If the environment is good – the cell works.
For this also they did another beautiful piece of research. They put a cell in a nutrient media in a petri dish – ordinary nutrient. Close to it they put a rich nutrient. The single cell started moving towards this rich nutrient. Then they put a poisonous nutrient beside the ordinary nutrient in another dish and put the same cell in that dish. The cell, instead of moving towards it, started moving in the opposite direction. The nucleus of the cell did not get any information: only the cell wall got the information. If the nutrient was good, the cell moved towards it. If the nutrient was not good - if it was poisonous – the cell moved in the opposite direction.
And then they did another interesting experiment . They took a single dish and they put the three mediums together and they put the cell in the center. It got confused. It got confused. If the nutrient is not good, the cell gets degraded. It does not move. Instead of moving towards it, it travels in the opposite direction. If the nutrient is good, the moves towards it, and enjoys. That also happens. If you put the cell in front of both media, it gets confused.
For a single cell only 2 options are given – good and bad. Two options. That's all. That's why it got confused.
Let's look at our case - how many options we have. That's why we are confused and depressed. We are not able to make any decision. We are not able to move at all. If you are standing at the entrance of the theater at the end of the film, there is no need for you to walk. You will be pushed and kicked out of the door. You will just come out of the theater. Like this, all our life is going. We are not leading our life: it's just going, just going. And it is like a run - a rat race. We are just going and going. We are not able to start and we are not able to stop. We are confused eternally. Eternally we are confused. Everyone has the beam of confusion inside them. For each and every step we have a dilemma and this dilemma tortures us.
How the cell works by its own awareness, how it understands the environment, we also understand the whole world - through the same factor: the environment. The environment you live in decides you. Actually that environment decides you.
Before having the Ananda Gandha initiation, we suffered a lot. We suffered a lot. But since the Ananda Gandha initiation, each and every person has his own understanding. After the initiation, our life course is totally different. We don't get the same depression again; we don't get the same anger again. Even if at all anger comes, we will let go of the anger as soon as possible. We will not get caught out by the negative emotions. These kind of positives all start happening in our life because the intelligence of our own system is becoming awakened. Earlier, the intelligence of our system was not awakened, but after the Ananda Gandha initiation, the intelligence of our own system was activated.
Only two data are given to the cell: good and bad. Since the cell does not have enough intelligence, the cell is not able to handle it. That is the problem. Nothing else. The cell does not have enough intelligence. The cell doesn't have enough energy to understand process. This is the same situation we were in before the initiation. We were not able to handle situations. We were not able to handle people; we were not able to handle problems. Because our understanding was poor, because our energy was low, because our consciousness was low, we were not able to handle it. Now we are handling situations in a good way because our consciousness is increased a little. Our intelligence is increased a little because of the healer's initiation, because of the opening of the Ananda Gandha. Because the automatic intelligence is becoming awakened - because of that one factor, we have good energy, and we have enough intelligence to tackle the situation.
The master used to say, "You and me are one and the same. Only I know how to live with problems. You don't know how to live with problems." And he also says, "Enlightenment is nothing but living with problems - not solving problems, because solving problems is not possible." Problems will always exist.
On this side there is a bad nutrient, and on that side there is a good nutrient. If the cell is intelligent, it will go towards the good nutrient and it will take it. Why should there be confusion? There is no need of confusion. Since the cell is not able to decide, the cell gets confused.
In the same way, we also get confused. We are not able to make decisions, that's all. Nothing else. Our whole problem stands in that one area. We are not able to make decisions. If you make decisions, your life is working. The master's life is working because he is making decisions continuously. We are running because we are not able to make decisions continuously.
And in one more dimension, this Anandha Gandha initiation is not just activating your automatic intelligence, it is connecting with cosmic intelligence. The very opening of the Ananda Gandha is an activation for your automatic intelligence. In another way, the same opening is acting as a connection to the cosmic intelligence which runs the whole
show - which runs the whole show! Through the Ananda Gandha initiation, your Ananda Gandha is connected with the cosmic Ananda Gandha. You become a part of Ananda Gandha when you heal. The master is called master because he is part of the cosmic energy; because he is part of the cosmic intelligence. Not even part – he is that. He is the center of it and he is radiating it.
In the Vignana Bhairava Tantra scripture of Bharat, in the Shiva Sutra, Shiva says, "You are the center of the universe." This statement is applicable to 6 billion people who are present in the world now. This statement is just not applicable to a single person alone. "You are the center of the universe," is applicable to everybody. That means, 6 billion centers of the universe exist. But it can't be: center means one. Then only it can be called center; otherwise it can't be called center. We can make this point. But Shiva clearly declares, "You are the center of the universe." He declares very clearly, "You are the center of the universe." But 6 billion centers exist.
By the word cente,r what he means is nothing but the Ananda Gandha. The Ananda Gandha is in a different plane: it's totally a different plane. When you live in the body, when your awareness is in the body, if you see the master, you will note that 6 feet or 10 feet distance is between you and him. When you go deep into the Ananda Gandha – when you go deep - you will see no difference between him and you. If your hand is kept here, can you think that it is something different? If a doll is kept here, we can think the doll is separate from me - and this mike is separate and I am separate. Just because your hand is kept here can you think it is separate? It is a continuation. You are able to relate with your physical body because you are in the physical body. You are not able to relate with the other things because you have not reached the etheric body and deeper bodies. If you touch the etheric body, you will feel all things are one and the same. How you feel that the hand is the extension of your arm, you will feel the mike and the chair everything - is an extension of your being.
And if you go deep into your being, if you go deep into the Ananda Gandha, just as you feel the blissful feeling in the Ananda Gandha, you will sense that in each and every stone that energy exists. It's bubbling. You will see the same bubbling energy, the same bubbling blissfulness – the same thing that is happening inside your system - will be happening in each and every atom. You will see no difference between you and me.
That is why the master says, "Isa vasyam idam sarvam:" whatever exists is energy. Everything is energy. There is no difference between matter and non-material things. There is no difference between the animate and inanimate. Everything is one and the same because everything has the same energy. The same Ananda Gandha energy exists everywhere. Actually that one energy – Ananda Gandha energy runs the whole show! Nothing else. That one Ananda Gandha energy runs the whole show.
When you realize this, you become that energy. Until you realize it, you are something different from that energy. Once you realize it, you become that energy. And you becoming that energy is what Shiva means by, "You are the center of the universe." When you are in that state, you realize that you feel you are the center of the universe
because you are part of that Ananda Gandha. Actually you are part of that Ananda Gandha. This body is not us. This mind is not us. And even this so-called being is not us. You are beyond these three and beyond energy – you are not even energy. You are beyond all these three and energy: that which is witnessing the whole scene. That witness is the Ananda Gandha energy – that is the Ananda Gandha.
They radiate healing energy; they radiate compassion; they radiate love - everything - because they are able to have that continuous channel and connection with the cosmic energy – with the cosmic intelligence. We are not able to radiate these qualities because we do not have that kind of connection. Since that connection is missing, we don't have the connection with the energy field (which exists in and around us) to run our life. That bliss energy is the field to run our life. That is not there. We get the energy from this field in very small increments as pleasure. When we take a sweet, when we hug somebody, when we see a beautiful scene, when we go to excitement, we get a little bit of that energy. When our ego is activated or when our ego is pricked with fear and greed - these things makes that energy ooze out a little bit. Our life is running because of the oozing out of that energy. Nothing else. That oozing of that energy allows us to run our life.
But the masters have a stream of consciousness connection. The stream of bliss energy is continuously flowing in them and through them and to the world. We also can have the same connection. We also can become the center of the universe. We all can become the Bhairavas. We all can become the Bhairavis. (Shiva's disciples – male and female.) We can attain that state very easily through the gift of the Ananda Gandha initiation – the Ananda Gandha deeksha.
The Ananda Gandha deeksha is something like this. We are searching here and there. We don't know where heaven's gate is – there are some 100 gates to choose from. Of the 100 gates, you don't know which gateway will lead you to heaven. All 100 gates look the same. Your friend who has already gone into heaven is calling on a cell phone, "Hurry come. I'm in heaven. Where are you?" And we are saying, "I am in the left corner of the room." He tells us, "No, no, no. Come to the right corner of the room. The gate is to the right." He is standing there. "Come and knock on the door. I am there. I will get you inside." Like that, the master is standing there and calling you. He is saying, "There is no need for you to knock. The door is always open." There is no need to knock. The door is always open. He is standing there with the key and the open door.
However, this person is not deeply searching for heaven. It is not his passion: it is not a deep longing. This help is happening voluntarily. Suddenly his friend who went into heaven is making a phone call, "Hurry, I'm in heaven. Come. I'm waiting for you." This fellow cannot have respect. This fellow will not have respect for the assistance. If he was working for it, if he had been searching deeply for it, then he would go and catch it. But he has been given the instructions as a gift, and always all the gifts are disrespected. The gifts will go to your glass cave, that's all, and they will sit there. Always all the gifts
are disrespected. And because it came as a gift, he will take it and keep it as a showcase item, that's all. Nothing else.
Because the deeksha has come to us as a gift, we are not respecting it. We don't know the value of it. The yogis and the munies and the rishis who did a lot of tapis to have a glimpse of Ananda Gandha - they will know the value of the healer's initiation - but not us. Not us - the people who got the diamond as a playing stone. We are playing with many stones. This diamond is also a stone. That's why we are not aware of the value.
In the hundred gates if you go and knock on each door, the person inside will not respond at all. You will not be aware which door will lead to heaven. If you search like this, you will know the value and once the door is open, you will go inside, and you will stay there eternally. Since we don't know the value, even though your he is calling continuously, "Hurry come. Hurry, come," we are going here and there and saying things like, "I hae a child. He is having exam. And there is my mother. She is not allowing me to come and stay in heaven." And he is saying, "No, no, no, no. I am not asking you people to come and stay in heaven eternally - just come and have a visit – in a day just stay there one hour or two hours.
Poor God, what can be done? Poor God. Since he is compassionate, he can't do more than this. What can he do? At the maximum, he can beg, that's all. If at all you become a disciple, he can shout. Because you are here, he can shout. We can't go anywhere else, so he can shout. If he shouts at you people, what will happen? You will leave. Your visiting frequency will be reduced. So since God is so limited, he can't do anything. He can beg you at the maximum, that's all. "Aray. Why don't you people do Ananda Gandha meditation every day, or try to live in the Ananda Gandha. For that reason only I gave the initiation."
I used to see in all the meetings, either in a direct or indirect way, the master gave this message. And I see continually the people miss this message. Nobody catches this. People miss this message continuously. The only reason is because it reaches them as a gift, that's all. Since it reaches them as a gift, the value is not in the people's minds and they continuously miss, miss, miss. And the same mess in their life continues. Their life is totally a mess and it is continuing in the same way. There is no improvement.
The initiation on its own, by its own effect, by its own nature, gives some goodness, that's all. But we are not using it. We are not using that energy. We are not using that opportunity. The door is open. We are not trained to go inside and live inside. From a distance, we have a darshan. When you do a healing, you have a darshan of Ananda Gandha. That's all. Whenever you do a healing, you have a darshan of Ananda Gandha. You are not going there and standing there and living there. If you go and stand there and live you can't even talk: it is such a blissful experience. It is such an energetic experience.
THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM gave me this course material and he asked me to conduct it. When he gave me this information, I didn't practice it. When he gave the whole content, I didn't practice.
Just a few weeks ago, I practiced this whole gist of what he gave me. I say to you, I was not able to stand that bliss and energy and expression which happened inside my body. And I tell you frankly, I did not practice more than six hours. Since I had continuous classes, I was not able to dedicate the time continuously in the ashram more than six hours because after six hours some emergency administrational things had to be attended to. People came and took me away from that experience. So only six hours I tried but that six hours trial had a full day impact - had a full day impact. And from that, continuously I am applying that technology. Each day, each day, I am able to see that the ego is melting. How in front of the fire, a candle melts, the ego is melting. Simply it is melting. To get the ego melting, I had been doing a lot of tapis. But now, when continuously I have started living in the Ananda Gandha, the melting of the ego is happening slowly and easily. You can't even give the example of a candle: it's too big. We can use the example of cold ice cream. If you keep ice cream outside of the freezer, it will start melting. In the same way, the melting of the ego happens. The ego is not able to stand in front of that energy. In front of that consciousness, the ego is not able to stand. The ego simply disappears from the system.
So living in the Ananda Gandha is not a meditation technique. It's not a meditation camp. It's a very lifestyle. It's a very lifestyle. It's the ultimate gift. It's the ultimate goal. It is not that you are going to live there immediately - maybe today or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. But this is within our reach. This will be our goal. Doing, thinking, eating, calling, shouting – whatever you do – doing from Ananda Gandha. Doing everything from that angle, from that base, from that plane, is the ultimate technique the master wants to give each and every one of us. Living in the Ananda Gandha is not a small technique. It's the transformation zone itself. We can't call it a technique; it is a zone. The time spent living in the Ananda Gandha is the transformation zone. In the same way as the environment affects the cell - that if the nutrient is good, it attracts and if it is bad, the cell dsapproves - in the same way, this very transformation zone, living in the Ananda Gandha, - that very zone, will transform you. It will transform you from the root.
From the depth of the samskaras, the Ananda Gandha will start making its own changes. And as we mentioned earlier, the Ananda Gandha is not just automatic intelligence alone; it is a connection with the cosmic intelligence. Your Ananda Gandha deeksha is the connection to the cosmic energy - is the connection with the master's energy. Our Ananda Gandha is an extension of his Ananda Gandha. Just as this little finger is an extension of our own body, each person's Ananda Gandha is the extension of the master's Ananda Gandha. That is why whenever we heal, people are able to feel the same energy as the master. If he touches someone, the headache or cancer gets healed; if we touch, the same thing happens - because of his presence. Because of his presence, all the miracles had happening, even with our body also.
Even if the body is not ready for enlightenment, even if we did not work a lot on our body and mind, we are able to radiate that energy because of his presence. Because of his presence, we are able to radiate that energy.
Nithyanandam! 2
One beautiful piece of research. This research must have been done by a spiritual person - it was such a wonderful piece of research. He put a cell in an operating media. From that operating media he took the DNA and kept it out. So the DNA was kept outside the body. From that person's body, he took a cell and from that cell he took the DNA because the DNA is the thing which releases the hormones and everything. It only creates and releases the hormones. He took the DNA segment where it existed. He took the whole DNA segment and he kept the DNA segment in the outer media. It no longer had any connection with the body directly. Even the physical connection was not there. Then he analysed the hormones in the person's body – whatever hormones were released in that particular time. And he checked the DNA which was outside the body. That DNA was also releasing the same hormones! This happened the first time. Then he made the person to go into anger. The DNA also released anger. But remember the DNA was not inside the body. Understand the fact that the DNA was not inside the body and yet it was releasing the same anger energy. Then the person went into fantasy. The DNA also released the fantasy related hormones. Then he was frightened by the research group, for the research purposes. When he was frightened, the DNA also released the fear hormones.
After the initial test was over, he took the medium 10 feet away. Again he tested. He got the same result. When he took the medium 20 feet away - same result. Then he took it 100 feet away. Same result. Up to one and a half miles away - the same result occurred. The DNA was reproducing the same hormone and effect again and again. Through his research, one important conclusion was arrived at: time and distance did not exist between the DNA and the person. Even when the DNA was kept at a large distance, the second he went into anger, the DNA also went into anger. The second he went into the fear, the DNA also was in fear. That means a subtle connection was there. Even if the DNA was at a distance, the subtle connection was there.
This miraculous phenomenon exists even in the ordinary man. In the ordinary person's system, if he can exhibit this much energy, think about the master. Think about the master who is enlightened. The energy expression shown in this experiment and the master radiating energy can act in the same way. Each and every one of you cannot just behave like – you can be a THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. The DNA which was kept one and a half miles away from that person was acting as a representative until that DNA had life. Until the DNA had life, it behaved in the same way – it released the same chemicals and hormones. If an ordinary person's DNA can do this thing, the master's DNA - that DNA is enough to put you in bliss, to put you in enlightenment, and to radiate his quality, radiate his nature and become him because the Ananda Gandha is inside of every one of us – that one DNA is enough - God's DNA is Ananda Gandha.
Actually you are him. In some way you are just not allowing it, that's all. Actually each and every one of you received the initiation. So you are him - no difference. You are him. There is no alteration.
The cell doesn't have that much ego – but this cell - even a small cell has the same intelligence that we have. It also has all the functions that we have –respiration, blood circulation, thinking, nervous system action, bone action, and reproduction - everything. Whatever nonsense you do, a single cell does. And it manages itself. It doesn't go to the court and apply for a case and all. It doesn't have any problem with the neighbours. It runs perfectly. Whatever things you do, the single cell also does. And you are nothing but a collection of millions of cells, that's all. An amoeba or a collection of amoeba. That's the only difference.
If a small cell is taken away from you, it is called amoeba consciousness. And if you are a collection of amoeba, you will be called amoebic conscious - that's all. Our whole body is nothing but amoebic conscious. A lot of cells are together and they have assembled for a good purpose and they are running the whole show. And in this very combination somewhere the unusual phenomena of ego exists. This unusual phenomena is like the darkness which exists. You can't trace the darkness, you can't catch the darkness, you can't push out the darkness. There is nothing you can do. You can't cut the darkness, you can't erase the darkness, you can't eat the darkness. Nothing you can do. But the darkness will only exist until the light comes. The moment the light comes, the darkness will not be there at all. In the same way, in our inner space, the darkness – the ego exists. It is purely illusionary. The moment the light goes on, the will not be there. Otherwise, it will be there even for 1000 years, even for billions of years. Or even for some countless yugas. For how many yugas will the darkness be there? Until the light comes, it will stay there comfortably. It will stay there as a very solid existence but it is a zero - a non-existential existence.
Light is a solid existence. In the light you can see everything, but in the darkness you can't see anything. That is the arrangement of nature. In the same way, in the inner world we have that negative illusionary phenomena called ego – which is the darkness of our inner space. In our inner space, the light is not there until the Ananda Gandha deeksha. Until we are initiated, we don't have that light. The moment we receive the Ananda Gandha deeksha, the light is lit and now the flames are there.
Now what do we have to do? We have to expand the light. We have to spread that light. Now the light is like one candle. If the area is some 10 acres, or 20 acres, what can a small candle do? There is nothing it can do. At the maximum, it can help you in day-to-day affairs, that's all. Moving here and there it will help you, that's all.
The whole area it needs a bigger light – you need a big flame. The Ananda Gandha which you have - the ananda flame which is in your inner space, has to burn a lot. It has to expand a lot. Once it starts expanding, once the conscious flow is expanded, once the width of the flame is expanded, the darkness cannot stand. Until then, whatever you do, the darkness will be there.
So living in the Ananda Gandha is the ultimate solution and it is a must for your life. It is not an option. You come and attend the Ananda Spurana Program and you can go. You can come and attend the NSP and whether you work on engrams or not - no problem. You can go and run your life. But living in the Ananda Gandha is not optional. It is a compulsion. It is a compulsion for each every healer. There is no option for you. If you are a healer, you have to live in the Ananda Gandha. If you are not living in the Ananda Gandha, it means you and the person running are one and the same. You have the diamond in the locker and the person doesn't have the diamond. What is the difference? The diamond is of no use. The maximum you can have is one thought, "I have a diamond."
The diamond has no value because it is in the locker. Whether the diamond is there with you, or it is not with you - both have the same value. So we have had the Ananda Gandha deeksha and the other person has not had the Ananda Gandha deeksha. That's the only thought we can have. That's the only difference we have. Nothing else. We are not living in the Ananda Gandha.
Until we start living in the Ananda Gandha we are not even healers. We are some dealers, that's all. We have some dealing with THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, not healing. We have some dealing. Because he gave that healer's initiation, because of the dealing, we do healing for half an hour per day, that's all. You have to do half an hour healing - half an hour every day - is the dealing he made for giving you the healer's initiation. He knows clearly what kind of people you are and you also know it. Because he knows clearly, he put that dealing. "You want healing, have a dealing. Half an hour. You have to do Ananda Gandha deeksha and you have to attend to at least 2 - 3 patients every day. You have to do this; then it's perfectly OK."
At least every day, part-time you are healers. All are part-time healers only. There are no full-time healers. The only full-time healer is the master. That's all. All are part-time healers. So he wants us to become full-time healers. He wants no dealing from us. He wants healing from us. He wants you to become him. He doesn't want you to worship him. He wants you to become him. He says, "You also can become like me. You also can become me."
For that he is not just giving inspiration. He gave the technique; he gave the route; he gave the map – everything. The jet he gave.
The master tells the story of the jet which was abandoned in a village by retreating armed forces. At first, the villagers thought it was a bullock cart because it had wheels. When someone fiddled with the controls and got it to taxi around the field, they started using it as a tractor. Finally, a pilot came and flew the plane away. The villagers were amazed.
Our bodies can be used as a jet, as they were intended, when we start living in the Ananda Gandha. The master gave us everything we need. After giving everything, he's saying, "Still you fellows are sitting there and not even moving and continuing the same life."
How dare we do this. Only God knows. Poor God. What he can do? Compassionate God. He'll give an energy darshan and hug you and tell you, "Be blissful." How can you be blissful? How you can be blissful if you don't go to the Ananda Gandha? How you can be blissful? You can be blisterful, that's all. Not blissful.
But somehow we run our life. Somehow our life is going along because we have a candle. No problem. We know the map. Some the people don't have a map in the 100 acres of their inner space and do not even they have a candle. We have a candle.
But the candle is given to burn the whole area – to burn the whole forest. The forest is ready for the burning. Just if you light a little grass, that's enough. If you light one blade of grass or two – that's enough. The whole area will be burned out. But we are not even burning our - - - . We are not even working for that. Not even thinking about it. In the *ananda astaanga (*daily routine of Nithyanandaites) Paramahamsa says, "Live in the Ananda Gandha." But we are not living there.
So living in the Ananda Gandha is not an option – it is not even a compulsion. It is an understanding. If you understand, it's an understanding. If you don't understand, it's a compulsion. It's a clear compulsion. If you understand, you will live there with a passion and you will be so excited to do it.
In the world, there is nobody who hates honey. If at all a person hates honey – if at all a person is not ready to lick honey, it means he has not even tasted honey once in his life, that's all. There is nobody who exists in the world who would refuse to taste honey. Our Ananda Gandha is much much much better than the honey. It is much much better than the honey. So the tasting of the honey will start now. We'll start today. We'll lick once. This one day experience will give the opportunity for you to have a small lick. That one lick is enough. That will give the kick. You don't come down from that kick. In Tamil we used to call this mabbu (joy).
You don't come down from that deva mabbu (divine joy) - deiva sukham (divine bliss) Once Paramahamsa asked, "What do you think bhakti is?" One of the bramacharinis, Preeta, answered, "Bhakti is deiva sukham."
So bhakti is deiva sukham. How can I translate? I don't know. Deiva sukham means the divine bliss – but divine bliss is a traditional word. Deiva sukham - how can it can be translated? It's deiva sukham! Somehow we have to understand. Deiva sukham. Because we know what raja sukham is. Raja sukham is having all the pleasures together. But deiva sukham is little higher than that - deiva sukham. So this one day you will taste deiva sukham and it will put you in deiva sukham. If you taste deiva sukham the beauty of it is you will become a deva: God. You will become Deva - the ecstacy and the bliss and the energy in which God exists. That is what deiva sukham is. Deiva sukham means the ecstacy, the bliss and the happiness and the joy – what God is tasting. That space where God lives, that is what deiva sukham is. All of us will get deiva sukham.
If you get deiva sukham, if you taste the Ananda Gandha, you will be in bhakti. The rasa will be there. Bhakti rasa - the juice of the bhakti, the juice of the devotion will be there. Or if you have bhakti, you will fall in the Ananda Gandha and vice versa Whenever you are in bhakti, you will fall in the Ananda Gandha. If you feel, "I am intellectual. I am not able to fall in bhakti; I am not able to rise in bhakti - whatever way you assemble the
words - if you feel like, 'I am not able to taste the bhakti,' go to the Ananda Gandha. You will come to bhakti because both are one and the same. If you go to bhakti, you will see, you are already in Ananda Gandha. If you go to Ananda Gandha, you will see you are already in bhakti - because both are one and the same. You will see and experience it. It's an experience. You can say it is the Nithyananda experience. You can call it the zone of Nithyananda - where the Nithyananda is living.
Entering into the quarters where the master lives is not entering into a zone. This is not entering into a zone. Even if you had the opportunity to go and talk with him privately in his quarters, it is not a private time – it is a public time – it is still it's a public time because you are caught inside your physical body and he is in another zone. You are inside your body. You are not able to relate with his boundless energy. He is not bound by the 6 foot body which you see. He is beyond. He is everywhere. Even if you are sleeping on his lap, you are publicly sleeping. It is not an intimate moment. Even if nobody is there at that stage – the screens are closed - somehow you got the opportunity; you are having a very intimate time with the master; you are sleeping at his feet. Still you are sleeping in the public only because inside you hundreds of people are living. Still you are in the public. Until you go to the Ananda Gandha, you cannot call even a single intimate moment as an intimate moment. All moments are public moments. If you are able to live in the Ananda Gandha, even in the public you are in his lap – not even his lap you are in his garba. You are inside his garba. Even a little more than that. You are inside his womb. You are part of his womb. Not even the womb - the bliss material which creates the womb itself. You will go into such a deep intimate place. You will be there when you go into the Ananda Gandha. When you don't go into the Ananda Gandha, even if you are sleeping on his lap – nothing. Just one more public moment. And once you taste this – once you taste this Ananda Gandha, once you experience how to do all your activities from the Ananda Gandha, you also will start radiating his own qualities. Wherever you go, make yourself sit in the Ananda Gandha and do everything from there. His positive energy will ooze out. His bliss energy will ooze out from you.
There is one more piece of research from a British scientist. A particle of light is a photon. If you divide each atom, the smallest particle of the atom is the electron. The outer particle of each atom is the electron. In the same way, the light rays are made up of photons. Just as a stone is made of smaller stones - if you break a stone, it will become small small stones. In the same way, many photons together form light rays. The scientists can take one photon separately. They can divide the light. So they divided the light in an empty vacuum area. They allowed the photon to behave in its own way. By some chemical arrangement and some other technology, you can make light move in a small area. So they did that. From the outside, they can watch and measure what the photon is doing. They observed. What they saw was that the photon was going in its own way. It was behaving as a wave in this situation. It was random. The photon's movement was chaotic. It had no order. It just came down and went here and there, then stood there one rotation and came out. There was no clear pathway. The scientists were not able to gauge what the photon was doing; what the photon was thinking (its purpose) they were not able to gauge. Because once it comes as a ray, it just comes and follows the principles of a ray. It will come straight away and the light rays are very obedient.
They'll come straight away. And they have their own rules and regulations. If there is an object in their path, they will bend and they will move according to the object. They will bounce off the object and move around it. They follow rules and principles.
But this fellow who is inside the vacuum area doesn't follow any rules. He's so chaotic he's running here and there doing whatever what job the photon is doing. And the scientists took a very intelligent approach. They took the same photon and kept it in another vacuum area. Then they added DNA – human DNA – they put the human DNA and the photon inside that area along with the photon. The result was amazing. The DNA started very simply, in a circular motion, rotating around the DNA like the planet Earth circles around the sun – the simple photon which was random a few minutes earlier started just circling around the DNA.
Then the scientists started to wonder what this photon was doing. The photon was obeying the DNA. Because the consciousness of the DNA and the consciousness of the photon if you compare – if you compare - the consciousness of DNA is a little higher – it has life. That energy is a little higher. Both have the same ingredients, have the same energy but the consciousness is higher. Since the consciousness is higher, this photon respected the DNA and started rotating around it – it was moving around it. Then what they did was they opened the vacuum tube and they took out the photon and removed the DNA from that area. Then they put the photon in the same area and they closed the vacuum again. Even after the DNA was removed, the photon was again rotating in the same way very sincerely. Very sincerely it started rotating around the absent DNA.
Then the scientific group came to this conclusion: the consciousness from a particular object or a particular person is always radiating and it has its own effect. Just as a solid object occupies an area, consciousness occupies an area. If an object occupies a space, you can't put another object in that area because the solidity of that object will reject that other object to come inside. In the same way, even after the solid DNA is removed, still the consciousness is there – the very consciousness of the DNA exists there and it is expressing that the DNA is there. The solid DNA was radiating the energy even after it was extracted, but the imprint of the effect of the DNA still existed there and it was controlling the photons.
In the same way, if you are part of God, if you are part of the cosmic Ānanda Gandha, you will radiate that energy wherever you go - wherever you sit, wherever you are you will radiate positive energy. You are all like positive energy generators. God created so many generators. One person is not enough to produce such a huge energy. A single body is not able to generate such a huge energy. A lot of positivity has to be contributed to the planet Earth. Like the photons moving at random, since nobody is there to radiate the positive energy, the world is moving in violence. The world is corrupted. The whole world is in duḥkha (suffering) now. All are just going here and there and behaving like the misbehaving photons. Since nobody is there to offer control, since no higher consciousness is there, each photon is living its own way.
In the same way, each man is living in his own way. Nobody bothers anybody because a photon will understand another photon. A man will understand another man. He will not respect another man. Until the consciousness of the photon is raised, the consciousness of the DNA is much higher than the consciousness of the photon, if you compare. It is a natural phenomena that the photon will obey – the photon will respect the DNA. At least it will not do any damage – the photon will not do any damage. It will not misbehave. If we people go and spread the Ānanda Gandha energy in the world – radiating the Ānanda Gandha energy - first of all you'll be happy – you'll be blissful that's one fact. Then the effect – if you radiate that energy – all the minds which are working like photons without any control will simply start obeying. There is no need even for you to control. The DNA didn't give any orders to the photon. There is no need for us to go and change the world. If you change, the whole world will change. That's what the master used to say frequently. You can't go and change the world. You only can change. If you change yourself, the change will happen simultaneously in the world. This is the method by which it will happen.
So the ultimate recommendation for today's society is living in Ānanda Gandha only. For you also, you have to live in the Ānanda Gandha. That's the ultimate requirement. Even for society, we need many DNA's, we need many imprints of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, we need many Xerox copies, we need many clonings.
Actually, The master is going to release a book called Cloning of Enlightenment. He's going to release a book called Cloning of Enlightenment. About this Ānanda Gandha, the master is doing some important research. He is saying that a person can be created from one cell and God can be created by one dīkṣa. That's the concept. From a cell you can create another cell by using the nucleus. In the same way, from a body, another God can be created by a dīkṣa. That is the whole principle of the Cloning of Enlightenment book. This is a big research book the master is doing. That book will come soon.
So the cloning of enlightenment is a must. For the cloning that needs to happen, so many bodies are needed. Even if the technology is there, until you have the cell, the cloning cannot happen. So these here are all the bodies. The healers are the bodies for the cloning of enlightenment. For God to land, the land is needed. All of us are just land for God. He will come and land if we are prepared a little bit; if we allow our nucleus to move that's all – enough. If you are ready to surrender your brain, if you are ready to surrender your ego, that is the only requirement. That is the payment for you to become God – nothing else. You can become God just by paying the ego. By the payment of ego you will purchase God and you will become God.
So even in your personal life, even your public life, living in the Ānanda Gandha is the need of society, it is the need of humanity. It is not just one more meditation which will relax you, which will soothe you, which will make you happy, which will put you in bliss. No. Living in the Ānanda Gandha is not a 'one more good thing' – it is the ultimate good thing. It is the ultimate happening - the ultimate choice - and it is the ultimate gift. So living in the Ānanda Gandha will do miracles for your life or you will live a very ordinary. And miracles will start happening around you - because you are a miracle. Actually each and every person is a miracle.
In Kirlian photography they say before the bud becomes a flower, if you photograph it, the flower will be there inside. In the photograph there is only the bud, but the very energy which is ready to flower - that energy will be there as a flower. In the photograph, that energy will be recorded.
And they did a few more tests. After a person's hand has been cut off through an accident or some other means, for up to 4 hours, when they take Kirlian photography, the energy of the hand is there. The amount and shape of the energy of the hand will still be there. The energy is still there. Even after the hand is removed, for 4 hours, it is recorded. The energy which was handling this hand was there and still exists there. And there is our bliss energy which is not captured by Kirlian photography as well as other very high energies. This kind of very deep energy cannot be photographed with any of our different photographical systems. The energies they photographed with Kirlian photography is superficial, but deep energies are also there.
Inside every one of us, just as the bud contains the flowering quality – we also have Godliness yet to be flowered into bliss. Today or tomorrow it is going to flower. The quality of the flower in each bud is sitting quietly inside. In the same way, the expanded God is sitting in each and every one of us. If at all we discovered any mission called the Ānanda Gandha mission, we could photograph and show you God is sitting inside you with the flower quality. After flowering, we will be there with the same quality.
In each and every banyan seed the banyan tree is sitting. The huge banyan tree is sitting inside. The same God is sitting inside us. The only thing we have to do is just see inside and know the value. Start doing it! Nothing else. Understand clearly - living in the Ānanda Gandha is not an option. It is the ultimate gift. Understand it. Start doing it.
Once you start doing it you will see all the wonders that exist inside you. And your whole lifestyle will not take a turn, it will take a transformation. You think you are walking in the wrong way and after this you will walk in a right way – no! After this your whole path itself will be changed. It's not you are going left, then right and taking a turn. No. Where you walk and what you plan and your plane and everything will be changed.
That is why the master used to say that in the future, after people start living in the Ānanda Gandha, in this ananda sabha by the door there will be a sign: 'You are going into the earth. Thank you.' In this anada sabha you will live in a different zone. When you are living in the Ānanda Gandha you will not live in the earth. Earth will look like a small particle of the sea shore. On the sea shore there are so many particles. And you will not be giving any importance to any particles - even gold. You will not give any importance to them. The earth in which we are living will look like a particle of the sea shore. When you live in the Ānanda Gandha, you will not even bother thinking about your body and the earth - where your body exists. So this very area will be the platform
for the Ānanda Gandha energy. And in this area (the ananda sabha) where the people live in the Ānanda Gandha or anywhere that people live in the Ānanda Gandha, they are living in that zone. So that is why he will put, "Remember the people - you are going into the earth. Thank you." When you come into the ananda sabha he will put, "From the earth you are going inside." When you go outside, " You are going to the earth. Thank you. When you come inside, "Welcome. You are coming from earth."
So even after all these explanations, how much we are going to do will be decided by our own understanding. How much understanding we have, that much śraddhā we'll put. Śraddhā is not 'sincerity'. In the west they translate it wrongly. Śraddhā is not just sincerity. Śraddhā is much much higher. Śraddhā means understanding the concept, being with full sincerity and exhibiting the courage to execute it. That is what śraddhā means. Śraddhā means more than just sincerity. Not just 'very sincerely following'. Very sincere followers are not required here. All the slaves are very sincere followers of their boss. No. The slaves cannot be said to have the quality of śraddhā. Very great sincerity will not work. It is sincerity, plus understanding. After that, exhibiting the understanding with the courage – with the courage. That is what is called śraddhā.
Nithyanandam! 3
So however much śraddhā you raise now, you will have that much effect. So living 24 hours in Ānanda Gandha will be the lifestyle of all the Nithyanadaites. So today that ultimate flowering, the ultimate gift will have an experiment in our life. This day is the opportunity for us to lick the kick. Lick the divine kick. So let us have a small experiment – a small trial lick. You can say the whole day experiment is a trial. It's a simple trial. If you try sincerely, this one day you have to fall inside or rise inside the Ānanda Gandha. Both ways it is right. Fall inside or rise inside. This one day is enough. How much śraddhā you are going to exhibit - that much effect and that much experience will happen with each and every one of you. So we request you to mediate on this concept – understand this concept. And become a Nithyanandaite and then you will become a THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. Each and every person will become a THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. Wherever you go, wherever you stand, you will radiate the energy. You will radiate that bliss energy. So this whole course is karumbu thinna kodukkum koolie: the whole course is like paying for eating sugar candy. So let us enjoy this course. Let us do it intensely. Let us do this course with full inspiration - śraddhā. So I request the ultimate energy, the ultimate Ānanda Gandha, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, to help each of us to have a deep dive inside. Let each and every one of us taste it, practice it and express it. I call on the ultimate Ānanda Gandha, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. Nithanandum.
Ananda Gandha Vasa
From now until the meditation ends, you will have no instructions. You will receive no instructions, because the words which you receive after the process ends will take you out of the process. So we will not use words. We will try to minimize all the possible instructions. Now itself, you will hear all the instructions. You will understand. After
you understand, the meditation will start. Whatever you know as Ānanda Gandha is Ānanda Gandha for you. Don't bother about it. Whatever you do for healing - what you do is Ānanda Gandha. Be there and how you are there – be there, that's all. That's the starting point. Then we'll move inwards. That's the first understanding.
The second understanding – whatever you are going to do from now until 5:00 o'clock, you will do from the Ānanda Gandha. As of now you are doing everything from the brain. You are seeing. From the head, instructions are coming in. You are hearing. From the head you are hearing. If you are hearing, that means the instructions are going inwards and somehow they are going to the head. If you are feeling, you are sensing it. If somebody touches you, you are sensing it. All the feeling and activity, even when you inhale – when you inhale and exhale, that activity is happening from the head. All the activities are happening from the head. You are controlling the whole body from the head without any conscious effort. That is wrong. That is totally wrong. You being there in the head is the sin – or wrong. So you being in the Ānanda Gandha is the bliss – or reward. So now what you will do; whatever you do, execute all activities from the Ānanda Gandha. From the Ānanda Gandha we will execute continuously.
Since all of you have dedication to the master, since you all have direct conscious experience with the master, a photograph of the master, or a song of the master or a thought of the master will all lead you to go towards the Ānanda Gandha – will all act as helping factors. But we should not continue the thoughts about the images, that's one more understanding. We will be there during the Ānanda Gandha meditation time. Please be there – first thing.
The second thing – don't do anything from the head. Do everything from the Ānanda Gandha – what you know as the Ānanda Gandha. Now the nose is inhaling. No – the nose should not inhale. Inhale from the Ānanda Gandha. Now the lung is exhaling. Exhale from the Ānanda Gandha. Now the brain is thinking. Think from the Ānanda Gandha Actually words are coming from there only. Think from the Ānanda Gandha Sense from Ānanda Gandha. Move the body through the Ānanda Gandha. Move the body from the Ānanda Gandha. Eat from the Ānanda Gandha. As of now you are taking food for the stomach through the throat. Don't do it. Put the food through the Ānanda Gandha through the mouth. Let the feeling be shifted. Let the whole center be shifted and concentrated towards the Ānanda Gandha; the center in the stomach, the center in the leg and the center in the head. And the center in the outer area.
You will think you hear a song through the ears. No. From the Ānanda Gandha hear the songs. Let the song directly fall on the Ānanda Gandha. Not in the ear. Not in the ear. As of now, first the sound is falling on the speaker, then it is falling on your ear, then it is falling on the ear drum, and is coming in. Already four or five planes are there where the sound has already fallen. In between it is falling on the air. Now let it fall on the Ānanda Gandha also. Already so many areas it has fallen. Let the sound fall on the Ānanda Gandha. Let the sound descend on the Ānanda Gandha. Smell in the Ānanda Gandha. Think in the Ānanda Gandha. Inhale from the Ānanda Gandha. Exhale from Ānanda Gandha. Even if you walk out, move the body from the Ānanda Gandha. Do everything from the Ānanda Gandha. Whatever is listed and what is not listed - do everything from the Ānanda Gandha. If you sweat, be sure you feel that from the Ānanda Gandha only you are sweating.
And all this activity will simply push you towards the Ānanda Gandha. Once you go to the entrance, there is no need for further movement. It will pull you. It will pull you from there, because that is the ānanda sucking force. Until you go there, the sucking force will not work at all. Go there – relieve yourself from other centers, and when you go there, the Ānanda Gandha energy is there. It is not even sucking. It is swallowing. It will swallow you. It will swallow all of your peripheral centers. And it will become one center. The THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM Gandha. THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM Gandha* means 'which is eternally there'. It will be there eternally. Or 'where you are there eternally you will be there.' Actually 'where we are eternally' we are not there. Once you do this, 'where we are eternally' you will be there. You will go to your exact center which creates the womb. That is what bliss energy is.
Even if you took janmas (lifetimes) in that area you will go and fall, you'll go and sleep, you will go and enjoy, you will go and dance – whatever you want. You will do everything in the utter womb – the womb of the para shakti – the womb of the cosmic energy. You will go and land there. So this is the instruction from now until 5:00 o'clock. Don't look at anybody. Don't even see anybody. Until 5:00 o'clock don't even see anybody. Don't go and react to anybody. Just you be with yourself, that's all. Don't do anything. Even if somebody comes and hits you, let them hit you. And let the Ānanda Gandha react in the way the Ānanda Gandha tells you to react. If it tells you to fall, you fall; if it tells you to manage and go – manage and go. Don't try yourself to manage. Just become a flow. Just become a feather. Like a feather follows the rules and regulations of the air; it falls effortlessly. For a banyan leaf to touch the earth, it makes no effort. It just leaves the tree and the earth takes care of it. That is what has to happen. In this meditation, that is what has to happen. No effort. The ultimate effort which you are going to put in is effortless.
Decentralize. As of now you are centralized. Decentralize. Totally decentralize yourself – your thinking, your imagination, your feeling, your seeing, your smelling, and your hearing - everything – your tasting – everything. Everything – let it happen from the Ānanda Gandha, and in the Ānanda Gandha. Decentralize yourself and be in the Ānanda Gandha again and again. Initially, you will move from the Ānanda Gandha and come to the Ānanda Gandha without any effort. Like a banyan leaf falls, just fall inside and then you will come up – as in launching a parachute you will come up. Again go and again you will come up. Don't bother about it. Just again sink. To come up you will put in some effort. That's the unconscious effort you will have to put in. What consciously you have to do is – do nothing, that's all. You'll fall again. Again you will fall. Again you will come up. You will go and fall there again and again and again. Don't see anybody. Don't talk with anybody. Not even reacting. Not even responding. Just be in the Ānanda Gandha.
If at all the Ānanda Gandha responds, if it wants to turn, turn. But otherwise, don't turn at all. For example, for the construction, they have dug up the land. Don't go and fall in the ditch then come and tell me that the Ānanda Gandha told you to go and fall. That we can't help. That we have to talk about a little bit. These are all understandings. We have to have the understanding and follow it. Don't go and fall there or if you go and shoot at the wall and come away and complain to me that the Ānanda Gandha made you go and hit the wall – don't tell me that. Use your intelligence. Have this understanding. If you relate with others, your traveling towards the Ānanda Gandha will be spoiled. You will come out again. Don't come out again.
Continuously one of master's songs will be put on. Whatever song comes, let the song come, even if you don't enjoy the song. If the enjoyment happens, let the enjoyment happen. Whatever happens, let it happen. Let everything inside and outside be alive and radiate bliss. But if you go deeply into the Ānanda Gandha it will not happen at all. In case it happens, if the body moves, shakes a little bit, let it happen. Let everything happen by itself. Now, we are sitting and hearing the discourse. No. That is not what I mean. That takes unnecessary conscious effort. No need. Just be there. So far, we have tried so many things. Nothing great has happened so far. Let something great happen. Actually, if you let go, anything can happen to you. Until you let go, no matter how much you try, only sound will come. Nothing else will come.
So, I can't say the usual words, "Try these techniques sincerely," because the very sincerity is something of the mind again. No – not even sincerely. With all these understandings, decentralize yourself. Go and stay and be there in the Ānanda Gandha. From the Ānanda Gandha, you should live. Taste your whole life in the Ānanda Gandha, that's all. Now you are tasting your life in your home . If you go for a vacation somewhere, you will stay there, vacation there. Likewise, you are staying in your head now. Go and stay in the Ānanda Gandha. Nothing else. This is the instruction. If I had given this instruction first, you would not have understood. That is why we gave this instruction at the end. From the head, simply allow yourself to go and land in the Ānanda Gandha. You will be there. It is there. It is waiting there for you.
So from now until 5:00 o'clock you will receive no instructions. The whole program will happen in here (ananda sabha) only. The maximum instruction you will get is at 1:00 to go and take your lunch. Don't take it in a very relaxed way. And don't hurry also. At a normal speed, take your food. Allow the food to go inside. After a certain point the Ānanda Gandha is resisting and indicating that you have had enough food.. Just leave it and go and wash your hands, that's all. It will not take more than 15 minutes. Then come and sit here. Tie your eye bands. Only for your lunch remove the eye bands. Then after you tie the eye bands again, don't remove them.
Then come here. Don't even see others' faces. To walk you need four feet, that's all. If something – a stone or something – is hitting your feet, move your body and go somewhere. That's the style of the Buddhist monks. They live that way – in a very deep meditation - just for training purposes. They don't live like that in their home. It is not possible. By this technique you will learn. We have only a short time and you have to learn the art. So don't see beyond four or five feet, with the falling head - with your eyes down. Walk carefully with eyes down. So many distractions are there. Take your food. Don't react with anybody. Just be in the Ānanda Gandha, be in Ānanda Gandha and be in Ānanda Gandha. That is the only instruction. Now the instruction is reduced to 'be in the Ānanda Gandha'. This can be reduced to 'be blissful'. The whole instruction is nothing but 'be blissful'. From now until the end, 'be blissful'. This is what was given to you earlier but to make you understand a little more, a two hour discourse is needed. Be blissful. Be blissful where you are. You will be blissful. That's the whole instruction. If you have any doubt, you can ask now. From now until the energy darshan, you will be in silence. Until 5 o'clock you will do this practice.
Take the energy darshan. In the energy darshan, live in the same way. The silence will be over. But living in the Ānanda Gandha is not over. It is just starting at 5 o'clock. Up to 5 o'clock it is a trial. From 5:00 o'clock it is starting. Receive the energy darshan from the Ānanda Gandha and walk, speak, do everything from the Ānanda Gandha. From 5:00 o'clock the actual program starts. After that you can catch your bus and go. We want to give the whole instructions now because you should not be disturbed. Only one instruction you will be given: go and take your lunch. After you come, come and tie your eyes and sit here. Sit in the same place. Don't sleep. It is not 'living in sleep' or 'sleeping in Ānanda Gandha'. If at all you sleep, we will come and disturb you. If you have a little backache – a little numbness, have a little walk around. Don't jog inside. Don't bend too much. Don't do too much of anything. Just allow the body to be there. If pain is there, 'so what'. Let it be there. If you have pain, so what. Let it be there. If you are in the Ānanda Gandha, what is the point of pain. Pain is somewhere, that's all. You are in the Ānanda Gandha. Let the pain be there somewhere in one part of the body. So what? No problem will be there. If at all a thorn is in your slipper, will you bother? You will bother only when it is your sole. Like this, the pain will be there. If you live in the Ānanda Gandha, it will be like that. You will not even bother. If you have any doubts you can ask.
Yes?
Question: How do I do my job from the Ananda Gandha? My job requires me to use my mind.
Answer: It is not you shifting to the Ānanda Gandha and doing the job. From the Ānanda Gandha you are doing the job. That's all. It is not you shifting from here to Ānanda Gandha doing the job. That is impossible. You are in Ānanda Gandha doing the job. Now you are in the head doing the job. It is possible because we are in the head. In the same way, you will learn this art, you will learn the knack. You will live in the Ānanda Gandha and you will do the job. And it is possible.
Question: Sometimes I feel energy and sometimes I don't. Does that mean I am not in the Ananda Gandha when I don't feel that energy? Sometimes I feel an incredible bliss and sometimes I don't feel anything.
Answer: No, no, no, no. You be there. Whatever happens, let it happen. Actually, during the Ānanda Gandha meditation, the energy is felt. Tomorrow, heat may be felt, or nothing may be felt. Don't bother about that. As for the feeling - whatever you did, do that again. That's enough. For the feeling to come, you did something. Do that attitude. That is what falling in the Ānanda Gandha is. Be there.
Question: I have a favorite photo of the master which immediately takes me to the Ananda Gandha, but I wonder if it is OK to use a photo. The instructions are to visualize his face.
Answer: Whenever you want to go to the Ānanda Gandha if you look at the photo, you will go easily. But go into the meditation without the photo, if you can. He gives this as a technique. And he tells us clearly it is a technique only. Remembering the master's face and falling in the Ānanda Gandha is a technique.
Question: I get backache sitting for long periods of time. May I sit close to the wall?
Answer: Yes, yes. If you feel a little backache, if you feel like sitting close to the wall, you can sit close to the wall. But don't sleep. Don't sleep. You can take a corner and you can arrange some pillows. That is not bad. But don't sleep. Then it becomes 'sleeping in the Ānanda Gandha'. That you will do in the night. At 10:00 o'clock you will have to do that. It will be super. Sleeping you will have to do in the Ānanda Gandha. Fall into the Ānanda Gandha and sleep. And that sleep quality will be different.
Question: I sometimes have wonderful experiences doing the Ananda Gandha meditation, but sometimes I don't feel anything. So then I get confused and I think I am not doing it properly, and this spoils my meditation.
Answer: That means you are misguided by the experiences. You have attachment to the experiences. You are in the Ānanda Gandha. Something is happening. If you are having confusion it means you are a little attached to the experiences. Instead of enjoying the experiences you are catching the experiences. Drop it. Drop it. If you understand you will drop it. I am catching the experiences. Let me not catch the experiences. Let me watch the experiences. If you do this, you will not have this dilemma. You will be there in the Ānanda Gandha.
Any more doubts?
Question: I have been trying to stay in the blissful experience, and to remember the master's teaching, especially when I am healing, but learning to watch my thoughts seems to be a slow process.
Answer: Initially it will be slow. It will be a problem because you are learning a new technology – a new life-style. If you go to college from the school, your activities will be reduced. You will be slow. The first day you will be slow. After you start to adapt, after the first three months, then you will be OK. The first three months you are slow. And when you go from the student life to the family life, you are slow. In the initial first few months you are slow. Since the mind is there, you will be slow. So don't bother. Proceed.
Unnecessary thoughts will come. All are thoughts. Drop them. All spiritual concepts and thoughts which led you to come here are good until you come into the Ānanda Gandha. When you come to the Ānanda Gandha, all thoughts are bad. Put all thoughts aside. This is up until 5:00 o'clock. When you go home, no. Don't remember these instructions like seeing only four feet in front of you when you walk._Let's imagine after the meditation is over, you are going to ride your motorcycle and you remember the instruction, 'Don't see more than four feet in front of you'. Imagine what will happen. Only up to 5:00 o'clock. From the energy darshan you can speak. You can speak, dance, roll around - whatever you want to do. But do everything from the Ānanda Gandha. Up until 5:00 it is a trial. Since it is a trial, be in silence. From that area, start practicing. Actually living in Ānanda Gandha starts from energy darshan. Then you can roam around.
Now, tie the eyebands. Tie your eyes. Before that, remember the instruction, "Be blissful where you are blissful." And do everything from that area – that zone. At 1:00 o'clock you will get the instruction to go and get your lunch. As soon as you take your food, come and assemble here. Don't speak to anybody. Don't relate with anybody. Again and again and again, "Be blissful where you are blissful." Close your eyes. Visualize the master's face – blissful face. From that slide, slip into the Ānanda Gandha. Be blissful where you are blissful.
Annomaya Kosha
There is one important truth which I want us to remember before we enter into this meditation: Ānanda Gandha initiation is the ultimate technique for us to get enlightened, not to heal people. Healing is a positive effect of the Ānanda Gandha deeksha. Ānanda Gandha deeksha is just a gift from the master for us to get enlightened very easily; the easiest technique and the way to get to the state of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM where he is living and experiencing and expressing. Staying here 24 hours is eternal bliss, nithyānanda. So now we will enter into a few techniques – or gates – because the Ānanda Gandha itself is a technique. So what we are going to do cannot be called techniques – they are like inner world signboards. These signboards will help you to reach the Ānanda Gandha very easily. The 5 koshas – the 5 layers of our body – exist in each and every one of us: the
annomaya kosha, prānamaya kosha, man maya kosha, vignan maya kosha, ānandamaya kosha. All the 5 layers exist in each and every one of us. We will take the help of each kosha and see how they exist; how they are functioning with their nature. We will try to fall into the Ānanda Gandha. We will approach the Ānanda Gandha through 5 channels, through 5 gates, through 5 waves. So let us enter into the meditation. Please close your eyes.
Remember the master's blissful face and then go into the Ānanda Gandha and stay there.
So far, even during intense healing, even if you are healing patients, as the ashramites of Bidadi ashram do, at the maximum you would have lived in the Ānanda Gandha, that's all. Until now, we have not included all of our activities from the Ānanda Gandha. We did not do all the activities through the Ānanda Gandha. You see the Ānanda Gandha meditation as one more technique where you will sit in one area of your inner space. But the Ānanda Gandha technique is much much higher than that.
Now, we are going to learn how to involve all our activities – either physical or mental, emotional or being level – whatever activities we do, we will include all the activities with the Ānanda Gandha touch. Now, without opening your eyes, from the Ānanda Gandha, give coordination to and control the body. Visualize that your whole body is sitting – in your body you are sitting in the Ānanda Gandha. From the Ānanda Gandha, feel the annomaya kosha – your physical body – the solid body, where the bones, nerves, and blood vessels exist. Feel your whole body from the Ānanda Gandha. In the same way as a person who is standing on a big basket, which is under a big parachute – your body is like a parachute – a multi-dimensional parachute. Your body is a multi-dimensional parachute. Your Ānanda Gandha is a basket in the center of it. Feel the annomaya kosha from your Ānanda Gandha. Let the ananda shakti – the bliss energy – radiate and fill the skin, your bones, your joints, your muscles, your face, your legs. Let your whole body fill with the bliss energy. Have a strong connection – the feeling of being 'connected' with the divine.
When you touch the patient during healing – whatever you do – in the same way, relax – relax from your very solid body – annomaya kosha and fall into the Ānanda Gandha. And you will see that the energy is radiating to each and every corner of your body. Just stop the stopping process of bliss energy. As of now, we are stopping the ānanda (bliss). Ānanda is like a fountain which is continuously flowing from inside. Now stop the stopping effect. When you do this, you will be overwhelmed by the bliss energy. Like air occupying the room, like a gas occupying a balloon, your bliss energy will occupy all of your annomaya kosha.
From your Ānanda Gandha, slowly, very slowly, bend your head to the front, to the back, to the sides. Do it very slowly. Enjoy the action. From the Ānanda Gandha, move the head back, to the side. From the Ānanda Gandha, along with the movements of your head, move your spine, like a doll. Just enjoy the movements.
From the Ānanda Gandha, along with all these movements, start moving your hands also. Raise up to whatever level you want; raise up, down, slowly. Allow the body to dance according to the tune of the Ānanda Gandha. From the Ānanda Gandha, raise your body to stand up. And slowly open your eyes and start walking. Allow the body to move from the instructions of the Ānanda Gandha. Go outside, have a walk around the building, and come back and settle in your chair. We can take 5 minutes. But do all the activities from the Ānanda Gandha. Move the annomaya kosha from the Ānanda Gandha.
Annomaya Kosha Meditation
From the Ānanda Gandha involve all the activities of the five senses. As of now, if you open your eyes, you will see something. Whatever is in front of you, you will see. But we have never seen things as they are. Once your inner eye is awakened, you will see things as they are: you will see reality – you will see the real existence – you will see the beyondness. As of now, whatever we are seeing as reality is just one more dream. As long as the mind is there, whatever we see in the world is still partial; it is not whole. Now, from the Ānanda Gandha, focus your awareness on your eyes. Like you focus your awareness on the patient - through your hands - in a very relaxed way, focus your energy in the Ānanda Gandha.
Please be clear. This is not attention. This is not concentration. If you do this, you are again using the mind. Concentration, attention, all those things are one more thought – one more pressure. Just relax and allow the awareness to travel towards the eyes. Let the eyes fill with bliss energy. With this awareness, slowly open your eyelids and look at the area where you are sitting. It is a trial to involve the vision from the Ānanda Gandha. See the things in the hall. See the activities going on around you - from the Ānanda Gandha – not just from the eyes. Try to involve the vision inside the Ānanda Gandha. Don't see things through your eyeballs but from your Ānanda Gandha. Let your vision come from the Ānanda Gandha. See all the activities from the Ānanda Gandha. It is bliss awareness training. If you involve your vision in the Ānanda Gandha, you will see a new glow, you will see new light, you will see a brightness – you will see a different ambience in the same area where you are sitting.
Slowly close your eyelids. Now, involve the auditory sense in the Ānanda Gandha. From the Ānanda Gandha, allow the bliss energy to spread and occupy the hearing apparatus. Start hearing whatever sounds are in the room from the Ānanda Gandha. Let the Ānanda Gandha hear all the subtle sounds. So many thousands of sound waves are reaching you. Hear all those waves and enjoy them. Let the Ānanda Gandha hear all those sounds. Hear very deeply.
Now, involve both eyes and ears. Even though your eyes are closed, you can see the darkness, or a little shadow light. See and hear from the Ānanda Gandha. Do both from the Ānanda Gandha.
Next we are going to involve taste. You can have a little sugar which will be given to you. Please get some sugar.
Involve the whole oral cavity – the mouth – in bliss energy. From the Ānanda Gandha, allow the bliss energy to involve the taste sense. Let the tongue become as sensitive as possible – as relaxed as possible. Everything that exists in your oral cavity – let it become sensitive. Be aware of the whole oral cavity – the teeth, the tongue, the mucous, the uvula, the tonsils, the throat. With this sensitivity, take the sweet. Take the sweet and allow it to dissolve. Don't try to eat it. Don't try to move your tongue. Open your mouth and put the sweet inside. Don't try to eat it – don't try to move your tongue. Just be aware of that area. The instinct will come and you will try to move the tongue. Don't do anything. Just be aware. Enjoy the different feeling. Experience a different awareness exploding there.
Now involve all three senses in your Ānanda Gandha awareness – your Ānanda Gandha experience. See, hear, taste from your Ānanda Gandha. Let your Ānanda Gandha see, let your Ānanda gandha hear, let your Ānanda Gandha taste.
Now, involve your touch sense. Involve the whole skin in your awareness – into the Ananda Gandha experience – where the skin is touching the clothes, where the hair is playing with the face, where your body is touching the chair, where your crossed legs are touching each other. Just involve the whole touch sense into your Ananda Gandha experience. If you feel like touching your body – you can touch it and involve yourself deeply into this experience. But feel the experience as the Ānanda Gandha experience.
Now involve all four of the senses. Let the experience of all of your four senses become the Ānanda Gandha experience. Let your Ānanda Gandha experience all four senses: seeing, hearing, tasting and touching. Let the Ānanda Gandha experience all four sensual experiences simultaneously. Don't miss out anything. Don't miss out any senses. Involving the senses in Ānanda Gandha is what actual sense (intelligence) is. It is sense.
Now, involve your smelling sense. So many thousands of smells are existing around you. We are not even aware of it for one simple reason. We never stay in the Ānanda Gandha. If you stay in the Ānanda Gandha, without your involvement, you will sense – how you see a hundred objects when you open your eyes - you will sense, you will smell so many things around you. Now involve your smelling sense in the Ānanda Gandha experience. Let your Ānanda Gandha smell. If the Ānanda Gandha starts smelling, you will smell so many divine fragrances that exist around you. Actually this very area is a lotus paradise. This very area where you are sitting is heaven. If you are in the Ānanda Gandha, whatever the area – whatever the place - where you are sitting, it will be converted into heaven – the deva loka. If you are not in the Ānanda Gandha, even if you are sitting in a palace, it will be an ordinary place. If you are not in the Ānanda Gandha, even if you are sitting in a park, it is just a parking area for your body. Instead of parking your car in the parking area, you park your body in the park. Be in the Ānanda Gandha and allow the experience to travel through all the senses. All the five sense experiences – let them become one experience – Ānanda Gandha experience. Involve all your five senses inside the Ānanda Gandha. Let the Ānanda Gandha experience all five senses simultaneously.
With all the five senses experiences, allow the awareness to penetrate your bones, hair, nerves, blood vessels, tissue, and internal organs. With this expanded Ānanda Gandha awareness, with this expanded bliss experience, move your body. Walk slowly with the Ānanda Gandha awareness. Go and eat with the Ānanda Gandha awareness. Whatever you eat, whatever you take inside, let everything go to the Ānanda Gandha. Even the very eating – let the Ānanda Gandha eat it. As of now, your mind is eating. When you are eating, thoughts are running here and there. Now walk from the Ānanda Gandha, eat from the Ānanda Gandha, drink from the Ānanda Gandha. If you do all your activities from the Ānanda Gandha, if you involve all the annomaya kosha activities in the Ānanda Gandha, you will see the Ānanda Gandha is walking, the Ānanda Gandha is smelling, the Ānanda Gandha is seeing, the Ānanda Gandha is tasting. You will see that the Ānanda Gandha will do all the activities. And you will sense a new intelligence, a new sensitivity, a new discovery, a new bliss experience continuously.
Now, you can slowly move to the dining area and take your breakfast. While you are eating your breakfast, please avoid talking because talking involves other koshas. It does not involve the annomaya kosha. Talking involves the monomaya kosha. That will happen in the third session. Now the first session is over. You can go and have your breakfast. Until breakfast is over, continue your meditation. Don't talk with anybody. If you sit separately, in some other area where other people are not around, it would be good. Thank you. Nithyānandam.
PrāNamaya Kosha
Ānanda prānamaya. Prānamaya kosha is the second layer that exists next to the annomaya kosha. Prāna is the nutrition needed for you to run your life. Just as petrol is needed to run a car, for the life force to move inside your body, it needs prana. Prana is the basic food for your life force. The scientists have confirmed that when we inhale, we inhale oxygen and we exhale carbon dioxide. We live because of oxygen. This is not truth. It is not true. The later scientists accept this because the very oxygen does something but because of oxygen alone, man is not living. Something beyond oxygen is coming and giving some extra energy to man and the scientists are not able to find it. But now they suspect it. Something extra is coming in along with the inhalation. Actually the oxygen is a vehicle – it is a vehicle which carries the prana. So whenever you inhale, actually you inhale prana and you exhale prana.
In the Vedas, it says we have nava dwara: we have nine openings. In our body there are nine openings. All the nine openings inhale prana and exhale prana – not only your two nostrils. Through the two nostrils, most of the inflow is coming. Maybe the nostrils are the main gate: the big gate. Through those nine openings, the prana is continuously coming in and going out, but not just through these nine openings. Each and every hair follicle inhales prana and exhales prana.
Once a beautiful experiment was done by a German scientist. What he did was he took a thick coating of paint and he painted a person's body except for the nostrils. Except for
the nostrils, he covered the whole body in thick paint. Then he did some tests, and the result was that after three hours, the person fainted. He was inhaling and exhaling: things were happening continuously. But when all the hair follicles were painted and locked, because thick paint will lock each and every hair follicle, he fainted. He painted the person with a thick paint which locked all the hair follicles. So since the hair follicles were locked, the person fainted. And the scientist was not able to come to a conclusion about why the person fainted after three hours - what actually happened to him. The oxygen alone, the inhalation alone, does not give what is required. Something extra is coming in and something extra is going out. That is prana. The prana comes and goes. Your whole body is actually inhaling and exhaling. This is happening without our conscious awareness. Since our attention is always sitting on the face and our energy is stuck in the head, we are able to focus on the nose alone. Even in the nose, we are not able to sense the very oxygen going in and out. It is happening as a mechanical process. Somehow God made it as an automatic mechanism, otherwise we would forget and we would say, "Sorry. I didn't remember that I have to breathe." So he knows our forgetfulness. Therefore he set it as an automatic mechanism and it is managing the body. But apart from this, our whole body is inhaling and exhaling.
Your nervous system is defined; your circulatory system is defined; your heart is located here, the veins are here, the arteries go like this, the central nervous system is like this: the anatomy is clear. If anatomy says this nerve is close to the throat, that nerve only will be exactly there. If they say the cartoid artery is going upwards to the head, it will go like that only. In the same way, we have a clearly defined prana flow in our body. How the nervous system exists, a clear pranic system exists. That is what in the Vedic system they call 72,000 nāḍīs: 72,000 energy centers, energy pathways. And there are so many big roads: so many big highways - energy highways. From the energy highways there are so many subways. The subways are the 72,000 nāḍīs.
The main highways are what the Chinese acupuncture system defined as meridians. The meridians are the highways of the body – energy highways; prāṇa highways – where the prāṇic flow is high. In the prāṇa flow of the highways, there are 700 big centers. The 700 centers are the main acupuncture points of the acupuncture healing system. These 700 points are the major junctions of the 72,000 nāḍīs, or energy centers which exist in the body. These 700 energy centers and these meridians, and the 72,000 nāḍīs all are defined the same way for everybody – they exist in the same area of the body for everybody. They are not changing their spots. We are not able to feel it because we are not aware of our prāṇic flow. We have become so insensitive that we cannot sense the solid oxygen coming in and going.
Actually, oxygen is a solid substance compared to the prāṇa. Prāṇa is not a solid substance, but oxygen is a solid substance. It can be traced. It can be analyzed. It can be caught by mechanical instruments, but we are not able to sense even that solid substance. That much sensitivity towards our system has gone. Our whole prāṇic system is not under our control. If the prāṇic system comes under your control, you will feel like an energy transformer. You will be like an energy generating mission. You will see the energy will be radiating from you amazingly like a diamond radiates its own rays when
light is shone on it. You will be like an energy diamond. From you the energy will be radiating. Actually it is radiating now also. Now also it is radiating. It is radiating continuous energy. It is getting enormous energy and it is releasing enormous energy. This is happening continuously. That is why the enlightened masters continuously say, "You and me are one and the same." They are repeating the same statement from Shiva to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. Everyone makes the same statement, "You and me are one and the same." Whatever is happening inside you is happening in me also. The only difference is that they know it and we don't know it. They know it because of their high level of awareness, high level of energy expansion, high level of sensitivity; their superconsciousness.
Now we are conscious; we are able to see this physical body. If we sleep, we go to unconscious and we are not able to see this body. This very physical body is not even in our control if we go to unconsciousness. This is available when our consciousness increases its own frequency. From the unconsciousness, if our frequency is increased and when it touches the conscious, we are able to sense this body itself. Otherwise, we can't even sense this physical body. In the same way, when you increase your awareness to the superconscious level, then you will see that the prāṇic body exists around you; it is existing inside you. The prāṇa is coming and going.
You are like an international airport. In an international airport, from hundreds of countries, many airplanes will come, land, come and go. In the same way, from different planets, from different stars, from different galaxies, from different universes, energies are traveling towards you. In all the areas, you have subtle connections. If you have ten magnets around a small piece of iron, all ten magnets will have a connection with the iron because the very nature of the iron will attract the magnetic force. The very nature of the magnetic force will radiate its own magnetic power to the iron. It will have its own connection. In the same way, each and every one of us has a very subtle and in-depth connection with the whole universe but we are not able to see it; we are not able to feel it. If you increase your sensitivity up to feeling, there is every possibility you will see it. It will be a great graphics work. Just like in the movies, suddenly the thunderstorm will come, a flash will come. In the Maya Software, they create so many graphics. Compared to the graphical effect of the universe, it is child's play. The graphical effects we see in the movies is not even child's play – it is dog's play or it is toy's play. It is very very small. The graphics of God, the dance of God, the energy expression of God is so beautiful and so amazing.
There are many video recorded reminiscences in our archives that many people have seen. One person told about this amazing experience: when the master was traveling, he saw him in the physical body. But the moment the master saw him, and he saw the master, something happened to him. First, he forgot his own physical body. Something happened to him: he entered into the next dimension. That's what he felt. Then he saw the master. The master was walking, but he was not able to see his body. He was able to feel the master was walking, but he was not able to see the master. Like in the New Years celebration at 12:00 midnight, what the sky will look like above the city. 'What the whole sky will look like with fireworks,' he said, 'It was a thousand times greater than
that.' When the master was walking, he was not able to see the physical body, but he could feel that the master was walking there. And he was not able to find his own physical body; he was only able to feel that he was there. And the fireworks – not even fireworks – a thousand times greater than that. That kind of beautiful amazing graphics he said. It is not even graphics – to express myself I am using the word 'graphics', but that is what is moving: that is what is moving.
And once the master said in the ananda sabha, "In the future, once you leave the Ananda Sabha, a big board will be put there: 'Be aware, you are entering into the earth'." Wherever the master is, that zone is different. When the master's energy is there, that zone is different. When we are sitting in front of the master, we are in a higher consciousness. Even if we are not aware of it, we are staying in a higher consciousness. We are tasting the superconsciousness without our awareness. When you stay in the Ananda Gandha, that very area will become the same. It will become the same. It will pull the master's presence there. The master cannot escape. The master will be there. If you go deep in the Ananda Gandha, what will happen in the ananda sabha when the master is there? The same effect will be reproduced. And I had an experience with the same person who shared this experience with me. I was taking a class. I came outside without having any food, so I was having a cup of juice. And I did not know what was happening to me also: I was sitting outside with everybody else and chatting. This guy came and told me, "I saw the same thing. I want to share with you now, because a part of that I am able to see with you. It is happening around you. You are that. Before class you were one way. Now you are different."
And then I looked inside and I was able to realize that the feeling and the state and the amount of inner bliss and joy was amazing. So when the sensitivity level increases, all these things happen.
There are actually so many ways to invoke the presence of the master. One is doing the pūjā to the mūrti where the master installed his garbha (womb). He will create the garbha by condensing nine poisons. We call it nava pāṣāṇa The nava pāṣāṇa has the capacity to hold the master's energy; to hold the master's consciousness. The nava basha is scientific. Just as a battery will hold a current, the nava basha will hold energy. When you do the pooja ceremony to the deity which has the nava basha, it will invoke the presence of the master. And the second thing, when you heal, it will invoke the presence of the master. Also a few mantras, and a few ślokas and a few songs which are designed in a tone, with a subtle formula – those songs and verses will invoke the presence of the master. When an ācārya is taking class, the presence of the master will be invoked by the energy network created by the master. And finally, you living in the Ananda Gandha will invoke the presence of the master. It will simply pull the presence of the master there. Whether you are aware or not, it will be there.
So now we are going to invoke the presence of the master by living in the Ananda Gandha. Now, to experience this amazing energy network around it, and to experience the amazing energy network which exists inside, we are going to do the meditation called ananda prāṇāmaya. We will expand our awareness to the prāṇāmaya. We will involve the prāṇāmaya as the Ananda Gandha experience. So let us close our eyes.
PrāṇāMaya KośA Meditation
Start living in the Ananda Gandha. From the Ananda Gandha, include the annamaya kośa: the physical body. Now, expand your awareness to the nostrils. Along with the inhaled air, the very nutrient energy comes also. Don't put too much effort into experiencing it. Just be aware. Allow the inhalation to happen. Don't try to alter it. Actually, don't do anything. Just witness. Whatever happens, let it happen…..
How you inhale through the nostrils, with the same feeling, start inhaling from your toes. Let the toes become the nostrils. Forget about everything else. Let the Ananda Gandha be the end of the nostrils. Let the toes become the opening of the nostrils. Just inhale and exhale. If you feel the cross-legged pose is not working, you can relax your legs. Start inhaling from the toes. Let the toes inhale. Let the toes exhale. Visualize this. You will feel and will see the toes are inhaling the prāṇa and exhaling the prāṇa. Let the Ananda Gandha be the end of the nostrils. Let both the left and right legs inhale and exhale. Visualize that both the legs are inhaling the prāṇa and exhaling the prāṇa. The whole surface of both the legs inhale prāṇa and exhale prāṇa. Let the prāṇa touch the Ananda Gandha and then let it go….Now include the muladhara area. Inhale the prāṇa and exhale the prāṇa. Let the blissful prāṇic energy come inside your body and spread all over the body…. Now allow the whole spinal cord to inhale and exhale. Let the whole abdomen and chest along the spinal cord inhale the prāṇa and exhale the prāṇa. See the multiple openings of the body. See the prāṇa is entering into the numerous openings existing in the abdomen and chest and spinal cord. Let the whole prāṇa come to the Ananda Gandha and then spread to the whole body and then let it go out. Now inhale through both the limbs – both the hands; let the hands inhale the prāṇa through the tip of the ten fingers. Let the Ananda Gandha inhale the prāṇa through the limbs; through the upper limbs. Now, inhale through all the openings existing in your head. Next, let the whole face inhale the prāṇa and exhale the prāṇa; through the ears, through the eyelids, through the forehead, through the tongue, through the lips, through the skin on the face. Inhale and exhale. Let the Ananda Gandha inhale the prāṇa and exhale the prāṇa through the face.
Now combine all five steps and allow the whole body to inhale and exhale. Let the center of your body, the Ananda Gandha, inhale the prāṇa through the whole body and let your body be rejuvenated. Let the prāṇa go out through the whole body. Feel the blissful vibrations. Feel the enormous energy which is coming in and going out with each inhalation…..
Om The Supreme Pontiff Of Hinduism Bhagawan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam
Slowly, very slowly, you can open your eyes.
The prana which you inhale and exhale is nothing but the cosmic force. The akasha which exists inside a closed hall is called ghataakasha. The akasha, the cosmic force, which exists around the hall is mahaakasha. And the same cosmic force which exists inside you is chittakasha. When you do this meditation, the positive energy which you imbibe and you express with your awareness will purify this area. A healer who does the ananda pranamaya, actually heals the chittakasha. He heals the very cosmic energy which exists around him in the room. Like in big water tanks they purify the water by adding some chemicals, by putting in some chlorides, this ananda pranamaya is an akasha purifier. It will purify the akashic energy – the cosmic energy which exists around you. So doing this meditation is blissful for you and blissful for the room also. The room also can become blissful. Even though this statement looks illogical, it is logical in the dimension of the universal chaotic law. You can make this room blissful. Actually this is true. If you go a house where a death has happened, you can feel the depression. In the same way, if you go to a festival area, immediately you can feel a celebrative mood. All these things are happening because of the quality of the akasha which exists there. In a death house, the akasha: the ghataakasha is actually depressed. The ghataakasha is depressed. Since the ghataakasha is depressed, it is depressing you. In a festival room, the ghataakasha also is celebrating. So that is why you are able to feel the celebrative mood. That is why in Veda there are these statements: ' If a single person gets enlightened, if a single person is attaining bliss, if a single person is experiencing bliss, the whole universe is celebrating.' That means the akasha is celebrating. The akashic energy has its own network. It has a connection like a satellite link. An energy level connection which exists all over the universe celebrates your very experience – your one small experience - as positivity to the consciousness. So this ananda pranamaya is a beautiful meditation for you and for society. You will become an energy center which will radiate, which will heal the very area. So whenever you do the ananda pranamaya meditation you also will travel towards the center and the area also will also be cleansed. So this is a cosmic purifier.
Manomaya Kosha
Monomaya kosha: this is nothing but the mental plane. The monomaya kosha is a form of words. The Monomaya kosha is nothing but a skeleton made up of words.
I remember a beautiful incident which happened at the last Kumba Mela. A group of brahmacharis went with the master to Kumba Mela where there were thousands of sunnyasis, saddhus, and munies, as well as millions of other people gathered. We stayed for a few days. There was a lot of tapas and so many rituals and so many spiritual
meetings going on. And the tapas was not ordinary tapis. For example, very great tapas occurred continuously for 10 days, 20 days, or 21 days: sitting inside a fire, watching the sun for the whole day, lying on nails and sleeping with the lions. Like this, there was so much tapas which we can't even imagine. What the saddhus will do at the Kumba Mela you can't even imagine. The amount of mind control which they radiate – the mannomaya kosha – is amazing. Just by yoga at some level you can control the mind – you can't work on the mind, but you can control the mind.
The yogis who did the little mind control performed an amazing feat. One person was sitting on a horse and that person had a big flexible sword. It was like a ribbon, but it was a sword. It was very thin but very sharp: it could cut you into pieces. This guy was a naga baba. Naga babas do not wear any clothes and do not follow any rules. They just live their own life. So this guy was just playing with the sword and he was on a horse So he was approaching another naga baba with his sword. The other naga baba was slightly leaning back and he was relaxedly sitting on a rock slab. Over top of his left eye there was a big potato and the other guy was coming from the distance on his horse. In the far away distance he was just playing with the sword and coming. He did not reduce the speed of the horse. The moment he came close to the naga baba with the potato, he swung his sword close to him and cut the potato in half. The other naga baba's silence was not disturbed; half of the potato came off and the naga baba on the horse simply laughed and continued on his way. Actually only later we came to know that this was a performance. It was not actually a performance; it happened like a game. Only later we came to know it was not spontaneous; it was not a game. It was a performance they did. So like this, so much tapas was going on. From the whole group of us, only two or three brahmacharis went to this area while the rest of the group went somewhere else
And we went to one area where a very interesting incident happened. They showed us a hut which was ten feet in diameter. In the round hut there was nothing but a few flowers – nothing else. The hut was not closed. And they said what was happening was 'bhu' samadhi. All of our guys were new to this kind of spiritual terminology. We asked, 'What is bhu Samadhi?'
Samadhi means you are sitting silently and deeply enjoying the blissful state. That is what Samadhi means. 'Enjoying the utter silence in the blissful state'. If you stay in the earth, that is bhu Samadhi. If you are in the samadhi state and you are inside the water that is called jal samadhi. If you are inside the earth and the earth is covering you, that is called bhu samadhi. Bhu is earth. That is bhu Samadhi. And they said that in that area, inside the mud, was a woman. We were not able to believe that. And they said that Yoga Mata was there – they called her Yoga Mata. Yoga Mata was inside and she had gone inside two or two and a half days before. And they were giving the exact date and time – some two or three days later by 12:35 pm - that she would come out. The first statement we were not able to believe – the part about bhu samadhi. None of the guys were able to believe it. And the second thing they were saying was, 'She is inside.' It was an ordinary floor. How we are walking here on this floor, that is what the floor was like. The same type of floor – nothing else. And one of our brahmacharis asked, "Can I walk on the floor and confirm?" They said, "Now she is inside. We should not disturb her
with our physical vibrations. But definitely on the day when she comes out, you would be allowed to walk on the floor. Or we ourselves will walk on that area and show you that it is an ordinary floor." Then we kept quiet and that day also came. They told us that day by a particular time, by 12:35 if we came, she would come out of the ground.
We were so curious. "What is going to happen?" we wondered. "How is she going to come out?" And we were still not able to believe it, even though we had read about this kind of statement, this kind of incident, in the Vedas. When we went to see this live with our own eyes we were not able to believe it. We also brought a camera; we were going to shoot it. And when we got there, the NDTV and BBC – all the big channels were already there. We went there, and somehow the guy in-charge was inspired by the master and he got the master inside the hut. Nobody else was allowed inside that hut. Only two or three people were inside the hut but the master was also invited inside. And we were all on the periphery watching the whole scene. Yoga Mata's master, who taught her that art was there. He also knew jal samadhi. So he was walking on the bhu samadhi area and showing the people the situation, and the TV reporters were asking questions like, "How is this happening? What is this?" Like this they were asking questions. Then exactly at 12:30 all the devotees started screaming, "Yoga Mata. Yoga Mata. Yoga Mata". It was fun for us because we were not directly connected with their sentiments. So we also started screaming, "Yoga Mata. Yoga Mata". So for 5 minutes everybody was screaming.
Then Yoga Mata's master who had given the deeksha or initiation, chanted some mantras and sprinkled holy water. Then he removed the mud, then he removed the asbestos sheet and then the wood that had been put down. And like this he removed the two or three layers. All the layers were removed. Step by step we saw this. Step by step - we have the video clippings. It was a whole one-hour procedure which we videographed.
So she came out of the ground, and for some ten minutes initially she could not see the area properly but comfortably she was there. Her pupils were a little dilated at first. But from seeing her physically we couldn't say that for more than four or five days she had been under the earth. We could not tell. No air could go inside. In such a state she was there for four or five days before she came out. And this is what is called bhu samadhi.
And earlier, so many times we had read about various types of tapis, and spiritual practices, for example, jal samadhi and bhu samadhi. But at that time, to say personally, in the same way that you may not be able to digest this statement that I am making, I also was not able to digest it. "What is this – under the earth? How can…?" These people said she stayed under the earth for 7 days. And a reporter was enquiring and was told that it was true. I thought, "These and all are some stories. That guy would have given some 10,000 rupees to this other guy to get him to write this, that's all." That is what came into my mind. But when I saw it personally – then only I believed it. For that purpose only the master told us to videorecord all those things and so now we have the video recording. We can see this easily. This actually happened. Then afterwards we left.
As far as the master is concerned, his answers are the ultimate and unexpected - always unexpected. Everybody was so excited about that incident. We felt that it was a great thing they did. We came outside and everybody was a little bright and talking about the this thing, but the master looked so cool. He didn't even bother about that situation. He was playing with his stick. And then one devotee asked, "Master, a great thing happened here. Can we also do this kind of wonder? Why don't you do it?" They asked. The master said, "You can do more than that. I will make you do more than that."
The devotee who asked this question got a little shaken. "What are you saying? I am asking you to do this and you are telling me you will make me do more than this? What are you saying?"
And the master told him, "This is not a big issue. That was a nice performance – a good performance. It is a high level performance at the pranamaya level – the second level. As of now, you believe you need oxygen to inhale and survive, but actually – there is no need of oxygen because the prana can come even through the earth. For you to survive, only prana is required - not oxygen. The prana only is needed. If you do strong tapas and you learn how to bring in the prana and keep it inside – how to live with minimum prana – that is enough. Anybody can perform this. This yogic success anybody can do." And he told us, "To do this, first of all, physical preparation is needed and then a few mantras and a few mudras and a few asanas. If you practice this properly, anyone can do it." But he also said that this was not a great thing. "If you see from the Krishna consciousness – if you see from the ultimate consciousness, it is one more nice performance. Of course, what they did was great; it was a great thing. What they did has to be respected – but from your point of view, not from the Krishna consciousness. From your consciousness, definitely their performance was high and they did a miraculous job. But from Krishna's consciousness it is only one more play. It is one more game. It is not even a mind game – it is a pranic game."
"You can live without food for so many days and you can live without water for so many days. And you can even live without oxygen like in this bhu samadhi – and similar experiences. You can live without food, you can live without water and you can live without even oxygen – but you can't live without thoughts." He told us very forcefully, "You can't live without thoughts. Thoughts are the ultimate food. With thought you can have anything inside. You can even have food inside. The very food may not give you satisfaction, but a thought can. On your plate you can have poor quality food, tasteless food, but in your thoughts you can remember tasty food and you can get satisfaction - a momentary satisfaction." He told us, "You can stop the breath, but not the thought." You can't continue to stay in that state without thoughts. This bhu Samadhi is perfectly OK. This is a game. Stopping the physical activity – zeroing down the physical activity is a good thing. It will keep you healthy. It will make you reach arogya – the state of health. You can happily run your life – but not blissfully. You can run your life healthily; you can run your life happily - but not blissfully. To be blissful, you need the gear control on the mind and that man cannot do - only the master can perform. That key is still in the hands of the masters. For that Krishna has to come down. If Krishna does not come down, those things are not possible. Whatever yoga you want to do – do. Whatever
great success you want to have – have it. Whichever peak you want to climb – go and climb it. But wherever you go, like a shadow, your thoughts will follow you. If you run, they will chase you. If you stop, they will be with you. If you run to the forest, they will chase you like a lion. They will not leave you. So making yourself be without thoughts is the ultimate performance. It is actually what meditation is. It is the actual tapis. So I am training you to that end and you are in this process and I will see that you do it.
So in the monomaya, now so many words are coming in. It is like Internet pop-up – without your awareness they come. And not even Internet pop-up - like TV advertisements. When you turn on the TV, whether you want them or not, you see so many advertisements. In the same way, in your mind, so many words come. The momomaya is corrupted with words. And each day, each minute, each second, each kshana we are contributing a few more words. Every kshana we are corrupting our monomaya. Either consciously or unconsciously we are allowing the word dust to come inside. All the word dust comes and corrupts, corrupts, corrupts. The mind we have is updated corruption. Our mind is nothing but updated corruption.
The master used to describe consciousness in a very beautiful way. It is said you have consciousness, subconsciousness and unconsciousness. But he told us, "Forget about all those things. You don't have anything. You have only one thing – unconsciousness, that's all."
The thing that is called consciousness, occasionally comes and goes. Occasionally it comes and goes. Because it comes only occasionally, let us not bother about the consciousness also. The only one thing you have is unconscious. The very subconscious does not exist at all. You have nothing called subconscious in your inner space. You have only unconsciousness.
To explain this, the master used two terms in the Shiva Sutras. One is awareness and the other is unconscious awareness You have two kinds of awareness: real awareness and unconscious awareness. Real awareness is what he has. When you do mediation – what you have. When you are blissful – what you have. When you are ultimately compassionate – what you have. That is awareness. But unconscious awareness is whatever you do without control. So many emotions will surface – so many hurting words will arise. So many hurting expressions will come through you. Without your control so many things will happen through you. That is what is called unconscious awareness. This unconscious awareness has a clear root in the monomaya kosha.
Actually unconscious awareness has a route in every kosha, but it is deep here. In the monomaya kosha it is deep. It is centered here. From here it originates because you are nothing but words. You means words - nothing else. You is equal to words, that's all finished. The words only go on and torture you – and torture others. So this unconscious awareness – until you become aware of it, you can't come out of it. Because in your unconscious awareness you are reading books, you are hearing the master's discourse and your compassion, your love, your passion and forgiveness and whatever good things you do is inside that unconscious awareness only. It is something like this: you are in a well,
and you are trying to get out of the well. When you are inside the well, the maximum distance you can go is to the wall of the well. You can't get out of that well. The maximum thing you can do is come to the wall. You can't get out.
This is what happens inside us. Our mind, as of now, has a will called unconscious awareness. We stay inside our unconscious awareness. That is why no matter how much we jump, we fall back into the same well. We finished the ASP, we did the NSP, we did the BSP and then we did the healer's initiation. And now we are doing the Living in the Ananda Gandha Program. And still we are jumping inside the same well. The same thing is happening. The same rut is happening because we are staying inside the well called unconscious awareness. To have the very unconscious awareness be pointed out is itself a great blessing. You knowing this truth is in itself a great blessing - whether you are trying to work it out or not. You knowing this fact –'I am caught inside the well called the unconscious awareness' is itself a very great blessing. Because today or tomorrow you are going to get out of that well. It is assured. You are going to get out of that well.
The people who are inside the unconscious awareness are not able to discriminate between real transformation and the skin-deep transformation. All the people who come and stay at the ashram – all the people who want to live around the master – want only skin-deep transformation. Nobody wants the bone marrow deep transformation: only skin-deep transformation. All the meditations that you do are a simple scratch for the itch. Nothing else. Whatever meditation you do now, whatever books you read now, are a simple scratch done for the mind's itch. Nothing else.
The very skin tumour – the very skin cancer has its origin in the bone marrow. It is very deep. It is not even touched. The moment the master tries to touch it, the person goes to the red signal. Whomsoever – whomsoever - is sitting and hearing this discourse, I tell you boldly. Whomsoever is sitting and listening to the discourse, goes to the red light. They show the red signal. They say things like: 'The master is the master Surgeon. I came here for surgery. Please help me. I want to come out of this.'All this nonsense. But the moment they are touched, whoever gives the assurance, escapes. They are not ready to look inside. They are not ready to see inside because they have their own ideas, as though they are spiritually elevated up to some level. And they know so many good things and they learned a lot about life and they know what is God and they know what experience is. All this nonsense is a simple small ten by ten foot well. All your experiences – all good things, bad things, everything - is just a well experience. Not more than that. That's why the master never touches anybody. He never touches anyone until the person is ready. For the master to touch you deeply, it needs first of all, the understanding that 'I am living inside the unconscious awareness.'
When you have unconscious awareness, the possessiveness of 'my' and 'mine' will be too much. The 'my' and 'mine' will be too much. 'My' and 'mine' means when your lifestyle is altered, or when your mental pattern is a little triggered or when a situation is created for you to expand, you will resist and you will say, "I am not going to be exposed to this. I trained in a different way. I'm not used to this" – all these things. "You guys do this. This is not my job. What nonsense you are talking. This I will not tolerate."
All these kinds of signals are just sounds coming from the one area – the unconscious awareness. You are not ready to break the wall of the well. If you don't allow the wall of the well to be broken, please be clear: transformation is not possible for you. Only the so-called transformation - skin deep transformation - is possible by doing a meditation. At the end of the meditation, if you are asked, "How was the experience?" you will say, "Beautiful. In my whole life, I never had an experience like this." The master used to call these guys idiots.
See, in the market, there are so many new cookies. Each of the cookies have their own flavour. They will be tasty. but all are finally just sugar candy. Nothing else. Simple sugar candy. They are not honey. They are replicas. They will destroy your bones. If you eat chocolate it will erase the calcium from your bones. And then you will go on doing this meditation, reading books and wasting your life. Nonsense. What kind of practice this is, I don't know.
Everybody has their own imagination and vision about a Zen monastery, living with the master, transforming, getting enlightened, wanting to face death – all these things. But if a little skin is touched – not too much - or if you take a little needle to put in anesthesia, "Oh, no, no, no, leave me Baba. Leave me Baba." What kind of people are these who never allow the master to work on them?
The master says, "I opened up my shop but there is nobody to purchase. I am waiting and waiting and waiting, but nobody is purchasing." But literally, you don't know, sometimes from the Master's eyes, tears will come. We have seen it. Tears will come. "Arrey guys – what are you doing? None of you people know what you are doing. What you are missing you people don't know. I came here for a different purpose. My mission is different. My vision is different. Because you guys are not ready to listen to me, I have to listen to you. How long am I going to have to bend? How long are you going to waste my time and my life?" And he says, "Each second the world is missing me. A second is enough for me to give the whole of what I have in my hand. A second is enough. But each second, the whole world is missing me. How long are you guys going to do the same thing? How long are you guys going to live in the same rut? When are you guys going to become solid? When are you guys going to become a very strong stone which will allow the chisel to do its chiseling, because if the stone is not allowing it, it cannot become a deity. It cannot become a beautiful statue. The stone can become a beautiful statue when it is allowed a little carving – not too much. Just two inches in the hip, four inches in the neck. That's all. Nothing else. A little carving. But by that carving, some of your parts – some parts of your mind - will be taken away. Some of what you call identity will go away. What you call life will go away. I tell you - what you call pleasure, what you call sleep, what you call relationships – everything will be chiseled. But it will not be cut off. It will take a new shape. But none of you guys are ready to accept this fact. Why? Nobody knows. Nobody knows."
None of the guys are ready to accept this. And it is a fact; whichever stone allows itself to be chiseled becomes the deity - becomes the same deity. And this person, this sculptor, who does the chiseling, chisels in his own likeness. He is not chiseling you as a monkey or donkey or some other animal because the stone can be chiseled to any shape. But this great sculptor – the divine sculptor – is doing the sculpting work and simply sculptes you in his own mould. And not only does he give his own mould – he does the prana pratishtha. That stone will start talking in his own voice, in his own words, in his own voice. The mould's very body language, the mould's very facial expression, the mould's very inner space feeling will become the same as the sculptor's. Nowhere this will happen except here. So if you understand that we have something called unconscious awareness, it has to be broken. If you take a vow now, if you take a courageous vow now, "I'll be ready. Whatever happens, let it happen. I will face anything. I'll be open and vulnerable to changes. I will not resist. From now onwards, I will not resist. Simply I will allow myself to explode multi-dimensionally. I will not give any excuse. Nowhere, in no area will I give any excuse. I will be simply open and vulnerable to change."
Please underline the words, 'vulnerable to change'. You have to be vulnerable to change. You have to be vulnerable; otherwise the change is not possible. If you make a strong decision – if you take a strong vow: 'From now onwards, I will allow myself to expand multi-dimensionally' – if this one vow really sinks inside your mind, you cannot be the old person again. You will start doing the work multi-dimensionally. You will not wait for the multi-dimensional work. If you are waiting, please be clear - still it is words. It has not sunk inside your mind. If you take this vow, and it sinks inside, you will start working multi-dimensionally. Multi-dimensionally, you will take work; you will take responsibility. You will take too much work. You will not be able to stop yourself. You will not be able to stop your very energy because the very energy will be radiating from inside. Only we are not using it because of unconscious awareness. The unconscious awareness goes on playing. It makes you sit in the same way as you are sitting. It makes you cry in the same way you are crying: the same pattern. If your mind is analyzed: for this reason, this girl will cry; for this reason, this guy will laugh; for this reason, this guy can be put in depression for any length of time. Your whole mind can be dissected and analyzed with a few facts, not more than that. This is the wall of the unconscious awareness. This has to be broken.
Just allow the master's words to penetrate you. As of now, we are hearing the discourse, not listening to the discourse. We are hearing the discourse. If you hear the discourse, he is adding a few more words to you. Already so much word garbage is there. This is a little good garbage - when you are hearing the discourse. But when you are listening to the discourse, each sentence will come as a mantra. And it will not reach you as ordinary words. These words will go and destroy the rest of the words. They will act as white blood cells. The white blood cells will not allow even a single foreign body inside the system. All the words are foreign. Only the master's words are local. They are the home words. They are the native words. Whatever words exist inside you now: even your very name - you are Ram, or Raja or Govinda - whatever the words - even your name - is foreign. It is not your name. It is not your native word. It is just foreign. All these foreign words have to be erased from your system. But the beauty of this is, you can't
erase them. You can't erase those words. It is just like trying to put out the fire by pouring petrol. If you throw petrol on the fire, what will happen? The fire will grow a little more.
The same thing will happen if you try to erase the words. It will lead to one hundred more words. You cannot erase the words straight away. It is a magical giant. The moment you start erasing, it will take different forms. It will take so many different turns. You can't do it. The only way you can do it is to allow the native words in. Your real native word is Ananda Gandha. Your real name is THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM: eternal bliss which exists inside you. The difference between you and the master is that he is THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM alone. You are THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM plus some more: Geeta, Raja or Ananpurni or something else. You are THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM plus something. He is just THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. And since your name and your so-called idea about life, so-called knowledge, so-called experience, wisdom and so on – whatever you have - all those things are just bullshit – THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM plus bullshit. If those things are removed, erased from your system – you are THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM alone.
But now, we have tried so many ways and it seems not possible because we are approaching from the wrong corner. We are trying to enter the room by the wall, not through the door. We are trying to enter the room by the wall. So now understand this thing. You are THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM plus something. He is THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM alone. Since he is THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM alone, and you are THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM plus something, you are the real THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, the eternal bliss. From that area only all the words are actually coming. Please know this truth. You are not thinking from your mind. Please be clear. You are processing the words in the mind. The mind is a processor. The mind is not a thinker. What the psychologists say is wrong. Your mind is not a thinker. There the process of thinking is not happening. The mind is a processor. The very thinking, the very origin of thought is the tip of the Ananda Gandha. From your Ananda Gandha only the words arise. Like the bubbles in a fish tank, words are coming from your Ananda Gandha. When they come to the mind, there is so much garbage. When words are processed there, they take different forms. They take different shapes; they create different emotions and different ideas.
The mind is the area where the processing is happening. The mind is not the area where the thinking is happening. The very initiation of the thinking is happening in that area where the Ananda Gandha exists. Words are coming from that area. The Ananda Gandha is what THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM is. From the THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM whatever words that come are, of course, native words. But since all the words are processed in the mind, none of the words are real words. Because in the mind, all the foreign words exist. The very idea that Annapurni is thinking, or Geeta is thinking, or Jessie is thinking - the very idea that a person is thinking is foreign. All these words, and your native words combined together become foreign. No native words are there. So THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM is minus all those things; he erased the mind itself. He didn't erase the words; he erased the mind itself. The very processing area itself, he erased. Since he erased the very processing area, he is the real person who gives the native words. So his words are the ultimate words and our native words. If you allow the native words, they are like the white blood cells and all your
Manomaya Kosha 2
foreign words are like foreign bodies in the bloodstream; those native words will go and erase all the foreign words. If you listen this will happen. If this is not happening, please be very clear: you are not listening. You are just hearing. You are converting the words to a foreign body and this foreign body is added to the mind system. The monomaya is filled with a few more words. That is all that is happening. The unconscious awareness is getting a little more food. We are not destroying the unconscious awareness; we are adding food to the unconscious awareness. Awareness means the radiation of the THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM state. If you are happy, if something good has happened to you, how radiant you will be. From the very happiness the awareness is radiating. Like that, from the very THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM state, the awareness will be radiating. As of now, the processing area – the mind - the foreign body's words are obstructing the radiation. Even now the radiation is being expressed – this moment it is coming out. But we are stopping it. So now we are going to approach the monomaya from the Ananda Gandha. Now we are going to approach the foreign bodies from our native place. The energy white blood cells are going to attack the foreign bodies. If you do this one process intensely, the energy which comes from the Ananda Gandha - the awareness which comes from the Ananda Gandha - is enough to purify the whole mind. The whole software can be purified. In a single sitting - in a single sitting - the whole software can be purified. So let us enter into the meditation.
Monomaya Kosha Meditation
Please close your eyes. Start living in the Ananda Gandha. If you feel sleepy, stand up and do the meditation. Don't miss this meditation, since the monomaya kosha is the most cunning part of our being; it will put you in sleep. If you feel a little sleepy, stand up and do this mediation. Don't miss this meditation.
Sleep is a very cunning way to escape from awareness. That is why whenever you do meditation, you fall into sleep. It is not a good sign. It is a very bad sign, actually. Sleep is an unconscious mechanism which will make you escape from awareness. Especially for this meditation you will sleep. So please be aware. If you feel a little sleepy, immediately stand up and do this meditation.
Involve the anandamaya kosha in your very awareness. From the Ananda Gandha, feel the ananadamaya kosha. From the Ananda Gandha, involve the pranamaya. From the Ananda Gandha, involve the monomaya where the thoughts are happening. Where the verbalization and visualizing are happening, that is the monomaya. There is no need to stop any thoughts. There is no need to create any thoughts. In the same way there is no need to continue any thoughts. Whatever verbalization happens, whatever visualization happens, whatever dreams come, whatever scenes are created, let them come. But let everything happen in the Ananda Gandha. Allow the thinking to happen in the Ananda Gandha. If thinking happens, think from the Ananda Gandha. Visualize from the Ananda Gandha. Don't think from mind. Don't look inside the brain. Allow the verbalization and visualization to happen in the Ananda Gandha…. Your very verbalization, your very visualization is now happening in the Ananda Gandha. The Ananda Gandha is the bubbling blissful energy. See and feel all the verbalization and
visualization happening blissfully. The way a peacock feather touches your cheek and embraces you - in the same way, see the verbalization and visualization happening as magic inside. One more inner embrace. Feel and see that verbalization and visualization are one more extra happening, one more blissful act done by the Ananda Gandha. When the verbalization and visualization happens in the Ananda Gandha the very verbalization and visualization are meditations. They will take you beyond. Verbalization of the Ananda Gandha and visualization of Ananda Gandha will take you beyond verbalization and beyond visualization. You are very close to the ultimate experience. Live in that experience.
Om Nithyanandam. At least for the next half hour don't talk with anybody. Stay in that same experience. Allow the verbalization and visualization to happen in the Ananda Gandha.
Vignanamaya Kosha
Nithyanandam! Anandavignanamaya. The vignanamaya kosha is the fourth layer, is the fourth dimension, is the fourth body. In one of the scriptures, it says, "To reach the swarga (heaven) you have to cross seven mountains, and then you have to cross seven seas, and then you have to cross seven skies. Then you reach the swarhga. This is one of the statements that exists in one of the deep vedic scriptures. You have to cross seven mountains. And the mountains are huge. They describe each mountain and the forest trees and what kinds of birds are there. Each kind of description is part of the scripture. And it is explained so physically. In a very physical form they explain. When you get to a mountain, there is a vivid description. You climb up. There are certain kinds of animals, for example, beautiful peacocks, etc. They describe everything. And then step by step they describe different animals. And then you cross this mountain and there will be a second mountain – very dark. And the description sounds like the Amazon jungle. They will describe big snakes like the ananconda to create fear. You have to be courageous and you can't tolerate the fear. You have to keep your mind on God and use various mantras and sutras and yagas and with this only you can cross the area. It is so dark and deep you can't even see.
Then when you cross this dark mountain, you will go a third mountain which will be totally filled with diamonds and gold necklaces and other gems. On this mountain will be a big diamond with a cave carved inside. That is the third mountain.
The fourth mountain is nothing but gardens and more gardens. You will see the most beautiful trees you can imagine and flowers with the birds singing and a loving atmosphere.
When you go to the fifth mountain, you can't even imagine. On this mountain the energy will be at such a high level, the very mountain itself will take you to a higher consciousness. Like that, they describe the seven mountains.
And if you take all the seven mountains and connect them with the seven chakras you will associate the seven mountains with the seven chakras. You will see the first mountain is fantasy, the second mountain is fear, the third mountain is joy. The forth mountain is love. You can very easily connect. The first seven mountains are describing the annomaya kosha – the physical body - very solid. Mountains are solid. They are talking about the solid nature – the very solid nature. How the body will be expressing its own nature from the angle of the muladhara. How the body will be expressing itself from the angle of the swadhisthana. If you have fear, your body will express its own nature. It will tremble. And the characteristics of the mountains which are expressed have a very deep metaphysical connection. So if a scientist analyzes what the scriptures say, they will think, "What kind of things are they explaining? They are just telling stories like Harry Potter. What seven mountains? In this first mountain, there are these kinds of animals. And in the second mountain he describes an Amazon forest. What is that? Just made up stories. All are parables." If you just count them that away and forget about them, who will be the loser? Who will be loser? Only a person who has experienced it can understand why these explanations and descriptions are there. He only can analyze and express it. So these seven mountains you have to cross, means you have to cross the annomaya kosha – the first layer.
Then the seven seas correspond with the chakra philosophy and deal with the pranic layer. The pranic layer is not solid, but you can't say it is nothing. Only your thoughts are nothing, but prana has its own effect on the body. You can feel it very clearly – like a breeze – you can feel the prana. So prana exists. So the second dimension – the sea represents that. Seven different varieties of seas. So there are seven different areas of your pranic energy. Actually the classification existing for prana is five. You have different levels of prana. But even within the five layers of prana there are sub-divisions. So they are very literally explaining the seven different types of prana – prana, apana , vyana, udana etc. Five pranic layers and pranic segregations exist in our body.
After that, they are explaining about seven skies and how there are seven skies and a deity who will be standing there - which deity will be standing there and receiving you. To go to the second sky, for example, what deity will be there and to whom you have to put in an application to go to the second sky. "Hello, I want to come to the second sky," So the guys there and the owner and the spiritual head, and the administration head, and the whole organization is explained there. A group of communities are living in the first sky, second sky and the third sky. So all these explanations are given for your third layer – that's the manomaya. In the manomaya, there are seven layers, and seven varieties of seven patterns of thought which come into your mind. So this is what is expressed in the seven skies. go, bwewetoweWe
So they say that for the first sky – the first god, Kanaputi, is in charge for that area. You must get permission from Kanaputi; only if he approves you can go there. Kanaputi is the god of the muladhara chakra. Kanaputi expresses intelligence and clarity. But we don't have intelligence and clarity because we have a lot of fantasies. We have too many fantasies in the mind. Because we have too much in the way of fantasies in the mind, we
Part 2: Living in The Ananda Gandha_English_part_2.md
don't have the clarity. Once you drop the fantasies, you will have the clarity. That is what Kanaputi is – nothing but clarity and a spontaneous decision-maker. So he is the first god welcoming you there and giving permission to enter the first sky.
So like this, seven gods are there taking you upwards. After you cross the seven skies, only then can you enter the swarga – heaven. You can't enter the swarga until you cross the seven skies. The swarga – that is what the vignanamaya kosha is – exists inside you. Once a philosopher asked our master, "Master, what are the Vedas saying – that you have seven mountains, and seven seas and seven skies? What is this kind of story? I don't get it. They are saying that somewhere these exist. Now it is clear that there is only one earth and we are living on that one earth and nowhere in the universe is the possibility there. And they are talking about seven mountains as if they existed horizontally. And then horizontal seas when only five oceans exist and then they are talking about some seven skies. What is this? What is this nonsense? I am not able to understand it at all. Why this is too much! Because the people are so simple they started believing whatever the scriptures say. Whatwould happen if somebody followed these scriptures?" The master simply smiled and told him, "He will become God. He will become God." Simply he said, "He will become God." And the guy who asked the question was not able to relate to the answer. "God? What are you saying? He will become God?" The master answered, "Yes. He will become God."
And don't think only seven mountains exist - many things exist. He said, "Seven worlds exist. And not only seven worlds, seven universes and beyond that." And this guy was shocked, "Master, what are you saying? I am not able to believe this. This 'seven mountains' statement itself was shaking for me. Now you are saying seven worlds? That is just too much. And then you are saying, seven universes. Where are they existing?" And the master told him, "Inside you."
And that guy got the shock of his life. And then again he asked, "Inside me? Inside me all those things are existing?"
The master said, "Yes dear. All those things exist inside you. Once you touch the vignanamaya you will understand. Once you touch the vignanamaya, the deep layer of your body, you will understand. All of them simply exist – actually they exist. You are able to feel the breeze – you are able to see the garden because you have a feeling. If you don't have the feeling, if you are insensitive, you can't even see the garden. Even though you sit in the garden, you can't see the garden – you can't feel the breeze. You are able to see everything because you have that feeling. If the feeling is not right, if you have a feeling of sadness – if you have a feeling of worry - you will miss the breeze. You will miss the garden. You will miss the fun which is happening around you – you will miss it. When the feeling is cut off; when the vigananmaya kosha – where the mystical energy, the miraculous energy exists, is not functioning properly, you will miss out. You will miss out the very area. If that feeling is there, you will enjoy this area in a much much better way.
Now they have created a movie called, What the Bleep do we Know. It is a beautiful movie. In the movie they say that the brain can be cheated very easily. The brain can be cheated very easily. The brain cannot differentiate between what is reality and what is a dream. The brain cannot differentiate. The brain is a processor which sees everything and analyzes and tells you where you are. 'Now, a small boy is kicking a football. The football is straightaway coming into your face. Move, otherwise you will get hurt! Move!' The brain gives an order and the whole body system works and you move because the brain analyzes everything - whatever is happening it analyzes - and it gives an order and you move. This is reality; what you define as reality. You can have the same experience in a dream. The same boy can come and kick the football. In the dream you will react in the same way. If somebody is going to kill you in your bed, you will shout; you will cry; you will scream. Your brain cannot differentiate between dream and reality. Your brain does not have the capacity to analyze it because actually both dreams and reality are one and the same - actually one and the same - whether you are closing your eyes and imagining something or keeping your eyes open and imagining something.
Right now you sitting in the class and you are hearing this discourse. Actually both this and a movie are one and the same. You are not receiving the actual discourse and you are not receiving the actual words. In reality things are totally different. Both things are just elusion, just imagination given to your mind. This mind sends signals to the vignanamaya kosha. From this very processing, from the very analyzing, deep down the information goes. When the information leaves the mind, the vignanamaya kosha gets activated. When it gets activated, you will have the feeling: 'I am attending a class.' You will have a feeling, 'I am seeing a movie.' 'I am relating with a person'. That very feeling, 'I am relating, I am fighting, I am loving, I am in a romantic mood' - this changes the whole experience and because of this, the area is in a way comfortable for you. Just by altering the tuning of the radio; if you just alter the tuning, you can hear Japanese radio announcements, then you can hear the US, then you can hear the Hindu. Like this, you can hear so many announcements, so many programs, if you just tune the frequency. In the same way, if the feelings are tuned, if your feelings are tuned, you can see in this very area. In the very area you can see everything. In this very illusional area, what we see in this very area - so many extra dimensions exist. You will see that first. Second thing, if you close your eyes and see inside, beyond this everything will exist inside you. Really - you can see mountains, and really you can see the seas, and you will see more than the clouds. More than the clouds will exist inside you. Because of a simple feeling – you are seeing the mountain. It's a feeling. After that you can close your eyes. One single vision of the Himalayas is enough. After that feeling is recorded, if you close your eyes and awaken that feeling, you can see the Himalayas. Even though the Himalayas are not there, even though you are not in the Himalayas, you can see the same Himalays, you can see the same Arunachala. With the same feeling you can awaken it. Just like tuning, the violin, you can tune and receive the Japanese announcements, or Chinese announcements. You can hear that kind of message.
In the same way, in what way you tune your feelings, in what way you tune your vignannomaya kosha – that kind of scene and that kind of reality itself can be produced inside your world. And it is so real we can see and live and move in that scene. That's
the beauty of the vignanamaya kosha. That is why it is called swarga. The vignanamaya kosha is the path to the swarga. Actually the swarga is only half of the vignanamaya itself. When you start having good thoughts, when you start dropping the content of your thoughts, the feeling of the swarga starts half-way there itself. And it goes to the vignanamaya kosha also. After some time, you will cross that also. You will cross the swarga also and you will go beyond swarga. So now we will enter into the swarga which exists inside us. Actually the swarga exists; actually so many beautiful words exist which describe the swarga. When you go to the swarga you will see Rambha and Menaka (celestial nymphs) . These are celestial women – beautiful girls – ever sweet 16 girls. In their body, they will have so much joy, that they have created. And only beautiful fragrances will come from them. When you cross the swarga. And the way they are described …even the ladies will get inspired. In such a way they are described. And once the master said as a joke, when you meditate, it is said that Rambha, Menaka will come and disturb you.
When Viswamitra was deeply meditating, Rambha and Menakacame and they danced in front of him and they embraced him . They totally disturbed him from the meditation. And finally he also came out of the meditation and he enjoyed them. He dropped his meditation. He spoiled his meditation for sensory enjoyment. So his meditation was disturbed by these young girls - beautiful young girls.
So the master described these things and finally he ended with a punchy line; if at all we do meditation, these girls will come. This could be the way we get people into meditation because it's a beautiful way to get them - a very easy way to get them. Then the whole world will be meditating. Actually you will not get girls like that. There is nobody there to alert, "Hi there. At the Bididi ashram a man is doing meditation. Go and disturb him; go and dance in front of him. Now he is very close to viganamaya kosha. Don't allow him to go there. Go start dancing. Put on music. Go for rock dance."
No. Nobody is there to give the order and nobody will come disturb you like that and all. When you go to the viganamaya kosha these kind of feelings are there. These kind of very good feelings are there. Will you get these kinds of good feelings? If you do meditation then you will get these good feelings or good effects. When you do a puja you will get a good feeling and good effect. After doing puja, after doing the meditation you get a spiritual experience. You will start staying in that effect; start staying in the good feeling, the good experience. When you have the experience permanently, then there is no need of puja and meditation. You do meditation for ananda. When ananda has become nithyananda what is the need for meditation? There is no need for meditation. Nithyananda is perfectly OK.
In the swarga you do not experience nithyananda. It is nithya joy, that's all. It's nithya joy. It is eternal pleasure. Swarga is nothing but eternal pleasure. The master told us once that if you want to punish a guy, put him in swarga - that's enough. He will come to naraga (hell). He cannot stay in the high state for more than few minutes; it is not possible. You can stay in hell for 24 hours, because already you are there. You are there only. And the master told us, "Don't think he will go to somewhere called naraga and all, because he has suffered enough in life. Whatever you are experiencing now is naraga. You are there." So if at all the guy needs to be punished, put him in swarga, because he can't stay there. The amount of pleasure that will be experienced there will be too much. It will burn your nerves. You can't tolerate that level of pleasure. So you have to come out from swarga also. You have to come out from those pleasures also. And initially those pleasures will disturb you. These kinds of pleasures will come when a guy does a meditation. He will get a spiritual experience from the meditation. Then the fellow will start saying, "I had a beautiful experience; do you know?" That guy will start in this way - like the wordly guy. He will start in the same way that he might tell a story, "In 1947 when I went to the US…" or he will tell it in this way, "When I was in the army…" or "When I was a boss…" He will start like this if he is a wordly guy. A spiritual guy will talk like this. "When I attended the first meditation camp do you know what happened to me? Beautiful experience. Nobody in the world would have had an experience like that." You have to punch that guy in the nose. The same way as that wordly guy will explain about his army experience, this guy is holding out his small experience. It is not even worth as much as a piece of bubble gum. Not even worth a small cookie. And he is holding that in his mind and feeling that he got something great. So this is enough to disturb you. Just like the celestial women disturbed Vishwamitra from his meditation, this kind of small experience can disturb you from doing meditation. You will have the feeling you have reached the top. And you will finish the meditation and you will start living in those experiences in your mind. You start living with that experience just as Vishwamitra lived with those women in his mind. You will start living with those experiences and you will have a 'feeling healer'. That itself will not come to many people so they will enjoy it. They will think they have had a spiritual experience and that they have experienced a lot. So this is dangerous.
The swarga will disturb you in that way just to give you knowledge and awareness. And there is liquor supplied there called soma bhana. Whenever you want you can go and take it and drink as much as you want. That means in the swarga, soma bhana will be available and the amount of ecstatic feeling it produces will be too much. It will not be available in the world.
Like this they describe many things. Actually everything exists in your internal deep area. In your deep layer everything exists. But you should not be tied to all those things. You have to have the maturity to enjoy them and cross them. Initially you need the shakti (power) to go to that area. Without shakti, you can't cross the seven mountains and seven seas and seven skies. You need shakti. You need meditation. After crossing the seven mountains, the shakti is too much and you need the budhi (intelligence) in order to have the shakti with you. And you need the budhi to cross the swarga also. The swarga also has to be crossed. If the swarga is not crossed, it is eternal hell. In some ways it is eternal hell bYou can't be saved. You have a misunderstanding that you have reached the goal.
Like this there are so many gurus in the world. One person calls himself a jagat guru because his disciple is Jagat. Then he calls himself, 'jagat guru'. There is every possibility for a man to have the feeling that he has reached the goal; he has attained the ultimate. No. If you visit a few parts of the swarga, that in itself is enough. You will have a misunderstanding that you have reached the goal, but you have to cross that also.
So now we will enter into the vignanamaya kosha. We will create a straight line connecting to the existential ananda - Ananda Gandha; the ultimate bliss energy which exists there. The ultimate truth. The ultimate godliness. We are going to create the connection to the swarga which exists inside us - the existing vignanamaya kosha. Be clear. The vignanamaya kosha is not the swarga alone. A part of the swarga exists there. Then you cross it. You will cross it and you will travel very deep in the vignanamaya kosha. Then only can you reach the anandamaya kosha. The very swarga is partly in the manomaya kosha also. It is partly in the vignanamaya kosha also. Now you will go to the vignanamaya kosha and live there and you will create a very clear connection with the Ananda Gandha. So once the pathway is ready, you will not miss that path. That way, even if you live inside the swarga, somehow you will find the pathway and you will reach the goal. So let us enter into the meditation.
Vignanamaya Kosha Meditation
Live in the Ananda Gandha. From the Ananda Gandha involve the annomaya kosha. From the Ananda Gandha include the pranamaya kosha. Let all the physical activities and pranic activities happen from Ananda Gandha. From the Ananda Gandha involve the manomaya kosha. From the Ananda Gandha involve the vignanamaya kosha. Allow the feelings to surface. Whatever feelings exist there, allow them to come out. Allow all the feelings to happen in the Ananda Gandha. Like the fruit juices, like the different flavored juices, so many juices exist inside you - the juice of love, the juice of compassion, the juice of happiness, the juice of relaxation, the juice of responsibility, the juice of leadership qualities. So many juices exist inside you. Like mountains, like the huge sea, like the vast sky, they exist inside you. Both physical experiences and metaphysical experiences are recorded there as juicy feelings. Allow the juicy feelings to come out. The juicy feelings which are recorded there are like good viruses. They are viruses. Even though they are good, they are still viruses. Those viruses will always be there and once they get the opportunity, they will come out. When the opportunities are not given, they will keep themselves inside. These viruses need to be burnt out. Whatever juiciness you have inside, allow the healing energy to penetrate it. Allow the Ananda Gandha energy to penetrate it. Roast your feelings; roast all your feelings in the Ananda Gandha, which will happen if you follow these instructions properly.
You know what feeling is. You know how you feel - whatever the feeling. Even if you have a negative feeling, it is no problem: the feeling of being rejected, the feeling of loneliness, the feeling of betrayal. Whatever feelings you have inside, allow them to happen in the Ananda Gandha. Actually replay, replay the deep feelings which even now exist and occasionally come and entertain you. Either they entertain you and bring you to joy or they depress you. By their entertaining, they may put in you happiness or they can put you in depression. If you do this meditation intentionally, your very God, your very Arunachala, your very Shiva, your very Krishna, your very Devi, your very THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM
Allow all the emotions, all the feelings, to happen in the Ānanda Gandha. You will see they are burnt out. Right now you do not have time to activate all the feelings. Now select one feeling and allow it to live. Allow it to happen. Allow it to be replayed fully. From this one experience, today or tomorrow whenever you find time you can do this meditation again. Now have a trial with one feeling. It may be better to select a positive feeling which is persisting: which will give you a good initiation. Allow the joyful feeling to happen in the Ānanda Gandha. Allow it to happen intensely. Let your whole body smile and enjoy that joyful feeling. Let the individual cells laugh together. Allow the Ānanda Gandha, allow the energy to roast those feelings. Let the bliss energy come and occupy the whole incident, the whole happening, the whole feeling - without any gap. Wherever there is a gap, let the blissful energy shower on that moment - shower on that feeling
Om NithyāNandam.
Slowly, very slowly you can open your eyes. With the same ānanda vijnānamaya experience, with the same mood, go and have your food. At least for the next one hour avoid talking. Stay in this experience. Let the experience become deep.
āNandamaya Kosha
Ānandamaya; the deepest layer. Once at a college, a professor asked the master, "You prescribe lot of meditations to the world and all the meditations are effective. I myself personally have tested so many meditations. They are good." The master agreed. "But I want to know the secret of which mediation makes you so alive and so intelligent and radiating this vibrancy. Can I know the secret? What is the meditation you practice?" The master laughed and said, "Actually it is the opposite for me. You need meditational effect but I need de-meditational effect. You have to move up but for me, I have to come down." Meditation will lift you to the higher energies; it will take you to the higher energies, but since he is in the highest energy layer; the deepest energy layer; he has to come down from the ānandamaya. He has to come down to the annomaya to relate with us. He has to come down. Because we are the guys who are caught in the annomaya, we have to raise our energy. We need mediation. But the masters, the avatars never need mediation. They need the opposite. That is why he tells us to do what the master says but not what he does. If you do what he does, it will have the opposite effect because he is de-meditating but you need meditation.
We have two kinds of effects inside our system: one is the upward pull and the other is the downward pull. One is the divine pull and the other is the worldly pull. Up to the manomaya kosha, you have to put in effort. How much you are doing, whatever the meditations you do, whatever the books you read, your effort is needed until you cross the manomaya. Until you touch the manomaya, you need to put in your own effort. Until then, it will be a downward pull; there is every possibility for you to be pulled down. Today, if you move from annomaya to prānamaya there is no assurance that tomorrow you will stay there in prānamaya. There is every possibility for you to be pulled down. Your very lifestyle, your very mental set-up, your body nature and your health are responsible for pulling you down back again to the same level. But once you cross the manomaya, the upward pull starts and the divine takes care. That is the upward pull. You can't come back down after that point. Either you go up or stay there. You can't come down. Up to a particular level your effort is needed and that after that your effort is not needed. Only surrender is needed then. Only pure surrender is needed; that is less effort. From that level onwards the divine pull starts. It will just pull you into its core.
That is why the master used to say that you need both bhakthi and gnāna to attain the ānanda, the bliss. Attaining the bliss is the ultimate thing. Attaining the bliss he explains beautifully. Gnāna means the wisdom; the revelation.
The great cosmic intelligence is gnāna; gnāna means the capacity of your expressive nature about your experience. Bhakti is staying in that experience. Actually in the world people have understood this vice-versa. In the opposite way they understood. People think bhakti means great spiritual experience and gnāna means knowledgeable. Actually it is the opposite. If you have had a spiritual experience, if you have tasted the divine energy, if you have tasted super-consciousness, you will have your own way to express it. That is what bhakti is; expressing the experience is bhakti. When you experience what is called ānanda, that comes exactly from the ānandamaya; the very experience comes from the anandamaya and then you experience it. When you are to able express this experience, bhakti has flowered inside you. But gnāna is what is ultimately required.
Gnāna means staying in that experience of making bliss become eternal bliss, making the ānanda as mukti annnada making ourselves stay in that very blissful state. That is gnāna. Whoever travels on this path, whoever moves towards enlightenment, needs both bhakti and gnāna - both devotion and intelligence or intuition. Both are needed for each and every person. The master used to say that the guys who have dedication have no devotion and the guys who have devotion have no dedication.
This is where the whole problem exists. A spiritual person will not be a lazy person but he will not be a busy person either. He will be neither lazy nor will he be busy; he will be utterly relaxed. Utter relaxation and laziness are not comparable. They are two extremes. Relaxation needs a healthy mind, then healthy energy and a healthy feeling. If these three layers are not clear, if these three layers are not pure, you cannot be relaxed. If you have a small tumor in your body or a small thorn in your body, it is enough. We cannot be relaxed. But even with that, you can be lazy. Sitting very lazily is possible but you cannot be relaxed. To be relaxed you need a healthy body, healthy mind and healthy spirit. Without this, relaxation is simply not at all possible. A person who is identified as a spiritual person cannot be lazy and cannot be busy - that is 'neurotic'. He cannot be just a corporate guy spending his whole life and health for work, work, work. The corporate mind dies by working. Actually, a workaholic by nature is simply selling his life to get something which he will not be using in his life. By working, there will be too much productivity, too many sales, too much name; all these things are not going to help him directly.
Actually he is selling a very worthy life and purchasing unworthy and unneeded worldly things. This is what is happening with the corporate man. But the spiritual person will need to be corporate also; the corporate state, a corporate mind is the peak of dedication. You need that much efficiency. Inefficiency is a sin.Everybody possesses the same intelligence. From that aspect, efficiency is a conscious choice. He continuously misses the life and he wants to live in the same old way - in the same old lazy way. Then people continue living without any great change. The people who want to change are caught inside this dedication, the workaholic syndrome - being always productive. This is the first category of people who work and die.
Then second kind of people are not workaholic. They are totally emotional and if we are emotional with God, that is called devotion. The emotional people of course have the juice of life; they have the experience; but since dedication is missing, since the productive capacity is missing, since the very basic holding capacity is missing, they are not ready to stay in that experience - what they express. So these emotional guys simply get torched. When they enjoy they enjoy but the rest of the time, since the gnāna is missing, since the intelligence is missing, since the dedication is missing, they are not able to keep themselves in the same experience. They are not able to stay in that experience. That is the problem of the guys who have devotion. Those who are just devotional - that also not going to work. If they are just dedicated, that also is not going to work. You need both. If you look at both, being devotional is the best and easiest way. If you are devotional, getting dedication is very easy. Your very devotion will lead you to dedication. However, if you are too much dedicated, there is no way to make it go and touch the devotion. You need to became devotional. You need both. You need to be dedicated; you need the left brain activation. All the workaholic people are left-brain activated people. To be devotional, you need right-brain activation. All emotional people are so creative, so joyful, so juicy and they are so spontaneous. All these people have their right-brain activities in place, but you need both sides of the brain to be activated. If just one side of the brain is activated, you will feel you are not living the rest of the life here also. There are the devotional guys and there are the dedicated guys. The dedicated guys feel continuously they are missing something; the devotional guys are feeling they are also missing something because these are like two legs for you to walk on ānanda. If one leg is missing, you have to jump; you can't walk. When you jump you can't be relaxed; you cannot be balanced. You need both.
When you touch these two; when you touch this dedication and devotion, it will be no more a downward pull; it will be an upward pull. You will be pulled towards the ānandamaya. If you are too dedicated, if you are a high corporate mind, the maximum you can reach is the manomaya kosha. Very easily you can reach the manomaya kosha. All the corporate guys have too much clarity about everything. Whatever they see, they see ten steps ahead; what will happen to those ten steps. Without spending any time or energy, they can come to a conclusion with their clarity because they have touched the manomaya kosha. They can do it very easily.
But being devotional, you enter into the vignānamaya kosha. When you are devotional you enter into the vignānamaya kosha. If you are just devotional only, of course you will be experiencing the juices of life; you will be able to enjoy the rose but you will be able to enjoy the rose only when the rose is there. When the rose is not there, the thorns will torture you because the very basic understanding is missing; the understanding about life and understanding about yourself, understanding about the course and nature of life incidents. Since all this is missing, that guy will be missing a lot.
So the moment you touch the devotional, please be clear you have entered into the zone of the upward pull. Until you are in the in the zone of dedication, still you are under the control of the downward pull. There is every possibility for you to slide back into the same level where you started, so adding devotion inside your system will lead you to ānanda very easily. Nowadays, more than 90% of the crowd is actually dedicated. They have come very close to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM. In starting ānanda seva, and when they become organizers, āchāraya or part of some other crowd, the survey says the majority of the crowd have too much dedication. Dedication is there, but just dedication alone will not work. You need devotion. Only devotion can help. He says we will finish. If you have only a glimpse of devotion, if you have a small quantity of devotion, then only the problem will exist. That guy can be tortured by life. With devotion, that guy will be the happiest guy in the world, without anything. He can be happy. From happiness, moving towards bliss will happen spontaneously. That he will do as a spontaneous action, just as when you close your eyes and try to slip into Ānanda Gandha, you slip easily.
Actually it is not that you are consciously walking and jumping and sitting in the Ānanda Gandha. The slipping is a happening. We are just slipping into the Ānanda Gandha. We do not know the technique to enter into the Ānanda Gandha. So the very slipping which is happening will become a conscious experience when you touch this zone; when you touch this dedication. Then you have entered into the safest zone. When you touch devotion, you are in the safest zone. Today or tomorrow, this minute or next minute, this second or next second, this kshana or next kshana, you will enter into the bliss. We will enter into eternal bliss very easily. It is happening. Up to the vignānamaya only, you can do something. The second you cross the manomaya, there itself the upward pull will start. But still you have to move. You have to do something. At the moment you touch devotion, there is no need for you to move ahead; you will be taken inside. That is why the master used to say, 'Until a visitor really becomes a disciple, really becomes a
disciple, he will be running towards me. He will be chasing me. Where am I? In which city am I? In which healing center am I? He will run. Until a visitor calls himself my disciple, he will be chasing me. He will be running hard to see me. He will be seeking my attention. But the moment the guy has really flowered into devotion, the moment the guy really becomes my disciple, he will see that I will start chasing him. I will chase him. I will run behind him. I will not leave him.'
Until we become devotional, we have to run around him. The moment we become a disciple, he will run around us. Until you touch emotional attachment with God, you will have to pray to God. The moment you touch emotional attachment with God, he will start playing with you. The maximum you can do is pray to him. But if you touch the emotional attachment with God, at the peak of devotion, he will not respond to that prayer. He will simply come and play with you. You will become a gopika. Until then you cannot be a gopika. The maximum you can be is a devotee of Krishna.
A devotee of Krishna can fast. He can sing bhajans. He can do meditation. He can meditate on the master's form. He can chant Krishna's name: Om Krishnaya namaha Om Krishnaya namaha Om... You can chant, but you can't play. You can't even understand the dimension. Even if you see that, you can't get the opportunity. The opportunity will be given only to the guys who touch the emotional attachment with God. As of now, we have an emotional attachment with everything except God. Except God, we have an emotional attachment with everything else.
Once a person came to Ramakrishna and the moment he saw Ramakrishna, he cried. That guy asked Ramakrishna, "What is happening to me? I am not sad. Nothing bad happened to me. But I started crying when I saw you. What happened? I am crying. Why did that happen?" Ramakrishna replied beautifully, "If you see a master or when you see a God or when you see a Deity, in that very moment without your involvement, if a tear is comes from your eye, be clear that janma (life) is your last janma. That birth is the last birth. You will have no more birth." You have touched it. That means the upward pull has started. When the upward pull starts, only the divine takes care of you. Until then, the janma is in our control. After that, the janma is not in our control. The divine takes care. It will take care of you.
So creating the emotional attachment with God is actually the ultimate technique. It is actually the ultimate juice of life. And after this happened, somebody asked Ramakrishna, "Ramakrishna, what is this? We are your very long-time devotees and you have shared a lot of things with us. You have spoken a lot of truth with us. But when that guy came you changed a lot. Actually you were giving too much importance to him. Why? Why are you giving so much importance to him? What is secret behind it? Why has that guy become so important?' Ramakrishna said, "Who will cry for God in the world? People are there to cry for their wives, to cry for their children or even to cry about their business and money and fame. People are ready to cry for everything. For a small insult they are ready to cry. For a small wound they are ready to cry. For small relationship damage they are ready to cry. But point out someone who is ready to cry for God." Nobody was able to answer.
Actually that is the ultimate thing. We still suffer because we are disconnected from God and we are not able to get the connection back again. We are not able to get the connection back again. And this devotion is the reconnection with God; the missing link. The missing link is what makes us man and reduces us to a depressed person or neglected person or unworthy person - whatever feeling you have. Whatever negative feeling we have is happening to us because of the missing link.
The missing link is devotion. When you have devotion, the missing link is re-connected. It is like an island and the mainland. The island needs so many things from the mainland; it needs fuel, food, cloth - it needs everything. The people who are living on the island need everything but it has to come from the mainland. In between the mainland and island, if there is no bridge, what will happen to the island? The island cannot survive for long. Either a bridge or a boat or at least a helicopter - some mechanism is needed. Like this, the connecting link is missing between us and God.
To reconnect the missing link, there are many intense techniques. Of those intense techniques, this is the easiest technique. Devotion is the easiest technique and it is not even really a technique. It is a one more enjoyment. It is one more enjoyment. It is a very great entertainment. Who in the world will hate romance? Who will hate romance? Who will hate love? Who will hate fun? Nobody. Nobody in the world will hate fun, will hate love, will hate romance. But we are having this fun, love and romance with the rest of the guys in the world, but not with God. Except with God we are experiencing all these things. With God, we have respect. We respect God a lot. Respect means keeping a decent distance, a very decent distance. So as long as you respect God, you are the guy who has caught hold inside dedication. Mind you, respect is also needed. Without that, we cannot discuss with God. Respect is the first stone; the first stepping stone. From that we still have to go inside. We have to go inside. So whatever we call devotion is still a very great respect. Respect from the being.
But God loves you to play with him. You can't have fun from the being, or have romance from the being, until you unclutch yourself from the worldly things and clutch with the divine. And the divine will take care. If you unclutch, that is enough. He will put you in Ananda Gandha. So lets move from annomaya and touch the anandamaya. Whoever are the guys who are not yet dedicated, let all of them become dedicated and express their devotion. Dedication plus devotion is the solution given to all devotees by the master. He neither wants the dedication alone nor the devotion alone. He wants both. He doesn't want just the enlightened guys. And he doesn't just want corporate guys. He wants enlightened corporate guys. He wants enlightened CEOs. CEOs alone can't save the world. Just enlightened masters alone can't save the world. The energy will be there, and that is good but it has to be expressed in a productive way; that means a corporate approach.
So his vision is to create corporate CEOs. All the healers have the eligibility to become enlightened CEO's. Each and every one of the healers who are hearing or reading these words - you are the person who has 100% eligibility to become that guy. Don't think, "I am not born and brought up in that way. I am just an ordinary spiritual person," or "I am just an ordinary businessman." Don't think like that. Even the CEOs get intuition from the inside only. From the anandamaya only the intuition is coming. You have intution, intelligence and bliss. What more do you want? All the amazing things which exist in the world actually exist inside you. The ananda is the ultimate intelligence. Whatever you need, that intelligence will deliver it to you. It is the ultimate energy which will produce everything. From the non-material energy, even material things can be produced. So each and every one of the healers has the 100% eligibility to become an enlightened CEO, and the world needs thousands of enlightened CEOs. So his vision is to create enlightened CEO's. Now the mission is creating healers and producing enlightened CEOs.
So let each and every one of us not target our energy towards ordinary bliss or a little more vocational bliss. If it is a vocational bliss, then it is an ordinary vocation - vocation by hard work. We need a continuously contented, blissful, energy-filled and wonder-filled life. And it is possible when you fulfill this requirement. So first believe that whatever state you are in, you have the capacity to attain it. And you are the candidates for it. Don't think some other people will be selected as candidates. You, the healers, are the candidates to fulfill his very vision. We are the pillars which will be converted to handle this future mission. Only these kinds of people will catch the spirit and make it their experience. You are the people who are going to stand up. I invite all of you to make a clear and strong oath that, 'I will understand and will experience and I will live in it. I will understand and will experience and I will stay in it.'
Nithyanandam!
Let us enter into the meditation for the anandamaya.
Close your eyes. Two truths. First, the anandamaya cannot be defined. Second truth; if at it is defined, you can't understand. This is because until now, it has not become a deep experience. Up to the vignanamaya can be explained, but the anandamaya cannot be explained. You can only experience it. Since we are healers, we have tasted a little bit. We have had a lick of it. But it is not enough. Go deep into the experience. Stay in that experience permanently. With the compassion of the master you were given the Ananda Gandha initiation, without even cultivating the devotion. Without even cultivating the devotion you got it. But even though we have it, it has to become eternal. It has to become a permanent experience.
Only one deep request is made here. Stay 24 hours in the Ananda Gandha. Whatever you do, do it from the Ananda Gandha. For that, first try to stay in the Ananda Gandha. Now stay in the Ananda Gandha and try to involve all the koshas, all the layers. Stay in the Ananda Gandha. Until you are staying in the Ananda Gandha you are staying in anandamaya only. Still you have not become the nithyananda maya. The moment all the koshas are involved in the Ananda Gandha, it is no more ananda maya. You are nithyananda maya. If you do this sincerely, the blessings will that will shower on you,
you can't even imagine. Because this is a dealing with God, you staying in the Ananda Gandha and involving all the koshas and all the activities is a dealing with God. God is a very compassionate and rich being. The offering from God you are to going receive for this dealing, really you can't even imagine. Since we have not done this, up to now we have received only healing - not the actual thing you have to get by the dealing. This is because you never give appointments to God. We have given appointments to God only when we heal. The rest of the time, we are not giving appointments to God. He is ready to shower on you. But still, the opportunities are not given by you. So from now onwards, start giving opportunities for God. Let him work on us. Let the annomaya be occupied by him. So far, we have lived with this body. Nothing great has been achieved by this body. So far you have lived with the mind. Nothing great has been achieved by the mind. Let the body, mind and spirit be occupied by the divine energy. If you are the owner of the body, mind and energy, the effect will only be up to the state of your efficiency. If they are God's property, immediately the status will be improved. The master repeatedly says, 'I gave my body, mind and sprit to God - to Parashakthi to do whatever she wants to do." This needs very great dedication and very deep devotion. When you have very great dedication and very deep devotion, surrender will follow of its own accord and will come as the next step. With deep surrender, with utter surrender, you will be in the Ananda Gandha. With the surrendering attitude, you will see so many positive emotions coming to the surface; the feeling of gratitude, the feeling of compassion, the feeling of taking care of everyone, the feeling of responsibility, the feeling of correctness. You will get everything just the one key - 'surrender'. With the very surrender, live in the Ananda Gandha. Let your surrender become a celebrating surrender. Celebrate because you have surrendered. Celebrate because you have got a dealing with God. Celebrate because in this life you have got a new peak. Your whole inner world is perfumed by bliss. Start celebrating. From now onwards let the Ananda Gandha meditation become a peak celebration of your life. Just because you surrender, you will be blissful. From now onwards, start doing all activities from the Ananda Gandha. If you are going to open your eyes, open your eyes not from the eyelids, but from the Ananda Gandha. Let the Ananda Gandha open the eyelids and see. If you are going talk to somebody, don't just open your mouth and talk. Let the Ananda Gandha open the lips. Let the Ananda Gandha move its tongue and talk. If you hear, let the Ananda Gandha hear the sound. If you walk, let the Ananda Gandha move your body. Let everything happen with a celebrating mood. Treat today as a festival. Every moment, you being inside the body is a blessing. You inhaling and exhaling is a miracle. Now God is allowed on the planet earth. Just enjoy each and every moment. If you think, let the Ananda Gandha think. If you make a decision, let the Ananda Gandha make the decision. If you inhale, let the Ananda Gandha inhale. if you relate, relate from Ananda Gandha. If you shake hands, let the Ananda Gandha go and shake the other person's hand. Let the Ananda Gandha, let the ananda energy spread and penetrate each and every cell of your being; all the energy of your body. Start celebrating. With a celebrating mood, you can enter into life, you can go back to your life. You are a candidate for the future enlightened CEO appointment. This is going to happen not because of your effort, but because of your effortless effort - surrender. So just because you surrendered you are selected. You are appointed. Your job starts now. Celebration is your department work. Surrender is the project given to you. You are appointed for enlightenment. Start living in the Ananda
Gandha and you will live in enlightenment. You will achieve it and you will start radiating it. Let all of us live in the Ananda Gandha. Let all of us involve all the layers, all the activities in the Ananda Gandha. Experience the Ananda Gandha and stay in the Ananda Gandha. Let the ananda experience become your expression. And let yourself become a permanent celebration. Let life become an eternal festival. Let everybody experience bliss. Express bliss and stay in bliss. Let all of us stay in eternal bliss. Let everybody get the opportunity. I sincerely pray to the ultimate expression of the cosmic energy - the godliness, our master: let all of us have that experience. Please guide us and give us that experience.
So from now onwards your meditation starts, whether you go and laugh or smile or run or eat or dance. Whatever you want to do, you do. From now onwards the meditation starts. So far it has been only a trial period. Only a test period. From now the exam starts. You are appointed but you have yet to pass the exam. You are appointed.
So let's all of us do the job which is given to us. Very joyously, very sincerely with meditation and devotion. So let's everybody do everything from the Ananda Gandha. You will see a new energy is added to you. A new celebration is added to you. Even your very body movements will change. Even your very body shape will change, if you start doing this meditation sincerely for 24 hours. It is assured that before the 24 hours ends, you will be changed.
Thank you. Nithyanandam. Nithyanandam.
Question: One beautiful question about questions. "Why is it that we don't have questions? We missed something from the book. 'No questions only doubts.' There is a statement that says, 'As long as you have questions you will not receive the answer. A question is just defending yourself. It is just defending your prejudice, your understanding. Questions stay as a barrier between you and knowledge. Between you and the master.' Could you be kind enough to explain this?" Beautiful question.
Answer: See, before attending the Living in Ananda Gandha program, if you have a doubt it is not a doubt; it is a question. After attending the Living in Ananda Gandha, if you have a question, it is not a question; it is a doubt. The question which comes before your experiment, even if you ask it as doubt, even if you ask it in a very polite, humble and friendly way, it is not a doubt; it is a question. The mind goes on and receives information and it collects information. It just wants to update itself. Nothing else it needs. It wants some update. So as one more piece of information, as a few more words, if you want the answer, it is a question. That question will not help you. Already too many words are in the mind. If you ask a few more questions, a few more words will
come and it will increase the emptying time. But after experimenting, after exploring something, because of that experiment, because of the very exploration, if you have some clarification, you will move ahead. Actually you need some clarification out of your struggle to understand, or out of some good experience. You want to clarify that and you want to move ahead. At that time, if you ask a question, that's a doubt. That's not a question. So doubts can be attended. Questions cannot be attended. That's why the master repeatedly says, "I never answer the question. I always answer the questioner." If the question is creating a doubt, he will receive an answer. If the question is just asking a question, it will get a small clap from the hands, that's all. So whatever question you ask is just defending yourself. It will not lead you to the truth. Actually it will take you away from the truth. These questions will take you away from the truth because whatever questions you ask are just from your prejudice. Just from your misunderstanding.
Before attending the Living in the Ananda Gandha program, if you ask a question, how can the question can be a right question? It cannot be. If you do this, what will happen? Whatever question you ask, it is just a question. A few popups of the mind and it will not work. So from the question, move towards a doubt. For this to happen, you have to become a scientist. Become an inner scientist. Use your inner space as a laboratory to work on your consciousness. Then you will get something to move further ahead. You will get doubts. You cannot create doubts. You can create questions, but you can't create doubts. Become a scientist. Use the laboratory and you will have the results.
Question: Can a person still be dedicated and devoted staying away from the master's presence?
Answer: One beautiful thing. If you become dedicated and devoted, if you are in that state, you will be blissful when the master is not there. Actually the answer is a little different. The question is, "If a person has both dedication and devotion together, in that time can he stay away from the master?" And how it will be? That should be the question. See, the presence of the master is like a battle place, where the war is happening. If you go and stay in the war zone, you can't be relaxed. You have to make yourself run on your toes just to manage the situation. The master simply creates the Mahabharata. When he is there, around him everything happens whether you are Dasaradha or you are Duriyodhana or whether you are Arjuna. He never bothers. Whatever state you are in, he never bothers. He simply creates chaos because we are chaos. He will create chaos and he will be the center of the chaos and happily clap his hands and enjoy.
Your dedication has its own mind channel. How your mental set-up is created - from that way only your dedication will come. Even if you are so much dedicated, that dedication has its own limitations. And your very devotion is like a small ball compared to the earth - a small ball and the earth - whatever devotion you have.
Dedication and devotion, both of which you have, are two beautiful inner feelings or two beautiful inner energies. These energies can work properly, can help you properly and can make you happy when the master is not there only. An Arjuna can be happy when
Krishna is not there. When Krishna is close to Arjuna, he will continuously give instructions to go and kill - go and kill! What is this instruction? He is a God. Krishna is a God and a compassionate guy and what is this instruction he gives to go and kill? Kill everybody.
And in the presence of the master there is so much need for maturity. To be around him, you need a very great deal of maturity which is beyond dedication and devotion. So, when you have both dedication and devotion and if you are away from the master it is good. You can sense his presence very clearly. And the master himself makes this statement, "My absence works better than my presence." This is because in his presence, things are different. Things are totally different and always the master is a master surgeon. That is his own job. So, the very activities which are going around him we can't even analyze and be aware of. So when you are away from him with both dedication and devotion, it will help you a lot and lift you a lot. So forget about this question and you will be happy when you have dedication and devotion.
Question: Please define what you mean by devotion and also, what would devotion look like?
Answer: No matter how much you explain, and no matter how much you create visualization, a blind man cannot understand about light. Until he opens his eyelids, even a single ray of light cannot be explained. So the one and only solution is to open the eyelids. Opening the eyelids means just working on the logic alone. Move from the logic. As of now, you have logic for everything. For everything you have logic. When to get up. When to go to bed. How to relate? How to respond? Even how to ask a question? How to behave in the society? How much effort can you do? You have lot of limitations in whatever work you do. Cross all the limitations. Work without boundaries. Start relating without any hesitation. You will just see that the devotion is starting to happen. But still now these are all visualization techniques which are given to the blind. Whatever is now explained are visualization techniques given to the blind. So moving from dedication to devotion is a knack. No matter how much you explain, it cannot be explained. Even in a thousand page book you cannot explain. Devotion is like inner swimming so it cannot be explained actually. As a sutra it can be explained. It is illogically logical. As of now we are logically logical. How logical you are it is clearly illogic. The whole trouble starts because of our own problem. 'We are logical'. That logic is actually logical. So move from that and adapt yourself. Life is illogically logical. Chaos to chaos in order. In the whole universe there is one star and there is one universe and one galaxy. It is chaotic if you see it as chaotic, but all the chaos has its own order. So the devotion is such a state. It is chaos only. But it has its own order. So beyond this, no explanation can be given. Jump out from your logic and you will see that you have jumped into devotion.
Question: I have noticed that the Ananda Gandha just opens sometimes without me even trying. Can you explain?
Answer: After you get the initiation, your Ananda Gandha is always open. It is not that sometimes it opens. It is always open. Whether you are aware of it or not is the question. So when you have the question that sometimes it is open without you even trying, that means even in your conscious involvement you are becoming aware of it. So it is not that you are going and opening the Ananda Gandha. You cannot open it; only the master can open it and it is already opened. And maybe the clutchings to your mind nowadays are getting relaxed. So since the clutchings are reduced without even your conscious involvement, without even your decision, you are going back towards the awareness. This means the upward pull has started. As long as you have a downward pull, you have to consciously go to the Ananda Gandha and be there. So if you can make this statement, it means, be clear the upward pull has started. And at that time only these kinds of things can happen, "I suddenly found that I am in Ananda Gandha." If you are able to make this statement, it has started. Enjoy. Celebrate it.
Question: The scope of living in the Ananda Gandha seems vast and too much to go myself and start. It is easy to at least open up to 3 koshas. How can I practice?
Answer: When the master was speaking about astanga yoga he said, "In the scriptures when so many guys give comments about the yoga scriptures, they say, 'There are 8 steps in astanga yoga', but I say there are not 8 steps. 8 steps means you have to do the first step first and then the second step, then the third step, then the fourth step. No! There are not 8 steps. When you are centered in awareness, when you are centered in the super consciousness, all these 8 parts, the 8 steps of astanga yoga will radiate from you. They will happen from you. It will be happening from you. Even if one part is missing, be clear, you are not centered yet. Until you are centered, the astanga yoga, the 8 steps cannot happen. You cannot practice all 8 steps one by one. You have to practice the 8 steps together. Practicing all 8 steps together is possible only when you are centered. In the same way, you involving the awareness in 5 koshas is not possible until you are centered. Until you are centered in the Ananda Gandha, it is not possible. Go on and do this. Try. Have a trial. Go on living in the Ananda Gandha meditation. Go on and experiment with it and finally, one day, without your awareness you will be centered. When you are centered in the anandamaya you will see you are no more in the anandamaya; you are in nithyananda maya. All the 5 koshas will be inside and all the 5 senses will be inside. And all the activities will happen inside. And you will be centered; from the very center everything will happen. You will become the CPU (Central Processing Unit) of the universe. From you everything will happen. From you everything will be coordinated. It is not that you will go and coordinate; from you everything will be coordinated. That's the only thing possible. So initially this struggle is nice. Go with it. You will achieve it.
Question: I assume that one needs to be conscious about living in the Ananda Gandha initially but at what point would it become an automatic process? How would it become a natural automatic process?
Answer: Nice question. Your part is about being conscious about living in Ananda Gandha. Consciously again remember yourself and be aware in Ananda Gandha. You do this one part. Don't bother about the next step. As long as you have a little bothering about the next step, 'When will it become an automatic process?' then it will never
become an automatic process. It will never become automatic. As long as you bother about this process today or tomorrow or this minute or next minute, be clear eternally it will not happen. So forget about these kind of conscious struggles. The instruction given to you is "Live in Ananda Gandha 24 hours". Do it, do it and do it. Don't bother about the results. Whatever results are going to come, let them come. And so many results, so many experiences which you are going to experience are not explained yet. And they will not be explained because each person's path and growth is different. So those things will not be disclosed publicly. Still so many mysterious and miraculous and blissful and wonderful moments are waiting for you. Just be in the Ananda Gandha 24 hours. Don't look for results. Whatever happens, let it happen. Finally one day you will discover, "Oh. It has become an automatic process." Until then, don't bother about the results. Just do it.
Question: When I am deep in the Ananda Gandha, loud noise or even a physical touch disturbs me. Why is it so?
Answer: That means you are not in the Ananda Gandha. You are in the annomaya kosha only. Since you are in the annomaya kosha, that is why it disturbs. Both of your problems are annomaya kosha problems. A loud noise and physical touch both are annomaya kosha problems. You are still not in the Ananda Gandha. If you were in the Ananda Gandha, you would enjoy that physical touch, and the loud noise would come as a blissful vibration because you would be hearing the sound from the Ananda Gandha. You would be receiving the touch from the Ananda Gandha. When your Ananda Gandha is touched, how will you be disturbed? You will be awakened because your Ananda Gandha is touched. So be clear you are not in the Ananda Gandha. You are somewhere and you are titling it as 'I am in Ananda Gandha.' Please be in the ananda gandha. That is the solution for you.
Question: I feel like my nerves are vibrating from my toes up to my head and fingers. Why is it so? What is happening? It seems all of my sensitivites are exaulted.
Whenever you do a meditation, if you feel these kinds of experiences, that your nerves are vibrating, be clear it is a nervousness problem. Do some yoga properly. Do nithya yoga or surya namaskar properly. Your nervous system is not able to tolerate high and rich energy. That is why it is giving these kinds of symptoms to you. It is not a very appreciable thing. 'My nerves are vibrating.' It is not that your nerves are vibrating. It is that your nerves are not tolerating. So do the surya namaskar properly. Do ashtanga yoga. Don't put on the TV or other stuff on and all. Take a few herbs. And do something which will strengthen your nervous system. If you do surya namaskar, that's enough. That's the first and last solution. Daily, properly, sincerely, do the surya namaskar. That is the solution for you. This is not a spiritual experience. It's a physical experience. Do the surya namaskar intensely.
Question: I felt very cool and relaxed. It seemed as if I was walking on the air relating with the people around me. I was joyful but now and then I have to remind myself that I am in the Ananda Gandha. At these times, thoughts disappear. Why?
Answer: Because you are in the Ānanda Gandha. If the thoughts are not disappearing then you are not in the Ānanda Gandha. Because you are in Ānanda Gandha, the thoughts are disappearing. It is good. Go ahead.
Question: Is it the lack of listening or not understanding or fear or what? I don't even remember anything of the program. Is it lack of awareness? Need to do it again and again. Explain.
Answer: Actually if you are able to remember about the program, something is seriously wrong. See, if you are able to remember the program it means, first of all, you are a clear intellect. Only a great intellect can receive this kind of high program. But Living in Ānanda Gandha you can't remember. If at all you remember you are a clear intellect. And the second thing, if you are able to remember, then the experience has not happened yet. Because if the experience has happened, you will have so many things to tell about the experience that you will not find any time to remember about the program. So if you are not able to remember about the program, it is good. And something good only is happening and don't bother about all those things. But the feeling you have that you have a lack of listening or a lack of awareness - all these are good signs towards growth. Only the idiots will have the courage that they are moving on the right path. Intelligent people always doubt. 'Is my step right? Is my step right?'Always the intelligent people doubt. So 'Whether I am aware or whether I am listening properly' is a good doubt. This doubt has come because you are experiencing something. You are experimenting with something. So this is a symptom of experimenting. So go ahead. What you are doing is right. Don't bother about these problems and all. This is good. Go ahead.
Question: Could you please sum up everything that you have explained in the class?
Answer: 'Be blissful where you are blissful'. That's all. And bliss will be radiated. See, since you are not blissful where you are blissful, that's why you are given five different techniques to radiate it. So if you are able to be blissful where you are blissful all these things will be a radiation from you. So you will radiate bliss. So sum is, 'Be blissful where you are blissful.'
Question: How is that we slip out into the Ānanda Gandha?
Answer: See these and all are very big questions. You are asking something beyond the Living in Ānanda Gandha program. How to slip inside the Ānanda Gandha. I think in future the master has to design a course for this. 'How to slip out into the Ānanda Gandha'. I think this can't be explained. It only can be experienced. Go for the experience and you will experience it.
Do you have any more questions. The questions are over?
Beautiful question. Amma is asking a beautiful question. Amma is telling a beautiful experience as a question. Beautiful experience.
She is saying that after attending the Living in Ānanda Gandha program, within one or two days her relations and especially the continuous speech with others was reduced. She was not able to speak with everybody. Earlier she used to talk with everybody. Now her talk is reduced a lot. She is not able to talk. And continuously from the inside a signal is coming and saying, 'Please be silent. Please be silent.'And she wants the silence. She doesn't want to talk to everybody. If at all anybody is asking a question she answers perfectly. That job she does. But she doesn't want to talk unnecessarily. She doesn't want to relate with everybody as in the earlier way. It is one of the very sharp signs that she is practicing the Living in Ānanda Gandha program. We are trained to relate with everybody because we are not able to be the silence. We are not able. That is why we are relating with people. It is not that we are going and relating with the people. No, it is the totally opposite thing. You cannot be silent. Your engrams which are inside will not allow you to be silent. They will go on giving some instructions and will tell you to go and relate with everybody; go and talk. Say 'bye', 'hi', this and that nonsense, it will give. Continuous instructions the saṃskāras will give. And there is one more type of people who are closed but these people are not silent. These are our dangerous volcanoes. This also happens because of engrams only. These engrams will not allow the people to relate with others. These people will say. "aang.. nonsense. What kind of guy he is. I know him. I don't want to relate." Like this and all he will give different types of comments and it will not allow the person to relate with others. It will not allow him to open. So too much of relating without your awareness and not relating with others without your awareness - both are wrong. If you start living in the Ānanda Gandha, the first thing that will happen is these kind of nonsensical engrams will be burnt out. When these kind of engrams are burnt out, this is the first sign - the very first sign. You will want to remain in silence again and again. You will like it. You will love it. And after some time you will reach a different level where a voice or a noise or the silence nothing will disturb you. You will become a paramahaṃsa. When you become a paramahaṃsa, if you want to be in silence you will be in silence or you will even be in samādhi. Or if you want to relate you will relate like a child. You will jump, run, shout, crack jokes and you will do anything. And nothing will bother you. Nothing will touch you. Both the silence and the vibrant relations, vibrant expressions will not touch you at all because you will be in the Ānanda Gandha continuously. So living in the Ānanda Gandha continuously leads you to become a paramahaṃsa. As of now, we are paramahiṃsa (ultimate violence). Paramahiṃsa means we torture others and us also. Even our little humour, even our small small fun, even our small small cracking jokes always hurts others. It has a little hurting tone because it is coming from ego. And even though we relate, we are not able to satisfy others. Because of that we are not able to satisfy ourselves. Continuously we are in discontentment. So practice being in the Ānanda Gandha. If at all it puts you in silence, it's good. It's a healthy sign. Good - go with it. Then you will move from paramahiṃsa to paramahaṃsa. And you will get it.
Any questions?
And one more thing amma is saying, "Even though you explained and answered my question, I am not able to understand it properly. In the whole class also I was not able to follow properly since because I am not well versed in English. I am not able to follow but somehow I did the meditation and I got it." So that is why the master used to say that if you don't know the language which he is speaking it is good. Something can be conveyed to you. So living in the Ānanda Gandha is the ultimate technique. All the words so far explained are different ropes given to you to come out of inner world ditches where you are staying - to come out of it. So she is not able to understand many of the words. No problem. No rope is needed. If you are able to live in Ānanda Gandha, that's all that is required. And somehow repeatedly that one instruction she understood - live in the Ānanda Gandha, live in the Ānanda Gandha and she did it. Because we guys are so complex in nature, we are not able to receive the instruction; live in the Ānanda Gandha. We started analyzing about this and all. 'What is devotion?' 'What is dedication?' 'I am able to travel up to the third kośa.' 'I am able to do this; I am not able to do that.' So the complex guys are caught in the rest of the things. The simple folks caught the thread. So living in the Ānanda Gandha happened in the very depth for amma.
Any more questions?
Question: I feel pain in my legs, my knees, my foot and at the same time I try to live in Ānanda Gandha all the day and it is marvelous. Is there a link between this and the state?
Nithyanandam! 2
Answer: Nice question. Earlier I made one statement; "If you travel on this path you will meet so many mysterious, miraculous, wonderful and blissful experiences." This is what I meant. "I feel pain in my legs, my knees, my foot." Actually it is intolerable for her. It is painful but yet it is marvelous. She is saying it is marvelous and she is able to live 24 hours with that experience. So even though it is painful, it is marvelous. The experience gives something. So don't bother about the pain and all. Pain is like deep tamasic energies; the deeply imbedded negative energies. Those energies are coming out because of this meditation. Don't bother about that. Go ahead. Don't bother about it. And the effect which you are describing as marvelous will increase and this will decrease. Your pain will decrease and what is 'marvelous' will increase. Proceed.
— Any more questions. So all are living in Ānanda Gandha? No questions means all are living in the Ānanda Gandha. Ok. Live in the Ānanda Gandha. That's all. Nothing else is needed. Everything will be done to you. Live in the Ānanda Gandha.
Appendix
Some research has been done which recently which corroborates some of the statements about healing which appear in this book. At the Institute of Hearth Math, some
experiments have been conducted on the effect of emotions on various biological parameters ranging from heart rate variability (HRV) to DNA structure.
In one experiment, some human placenta (the most pristine form of DNA) was placed in a container from which they could measure changes in the DNA. Twenty-eight researchers were each given a vial of DNA. Each researcher had been trained in generating and experiencing feelings. The researchers introduced various emotions into the DNA and found that the DNA changed its shape according to the emotions expressed. When love, gratitude and appreciation were expressed, the DNA responded by relaxing and the strands unwound. The DNA became longer.
When the researchers felt anger, fear, frustration or stress, the DNA responded by tightening up. It became shorter and many of the DNA codes switched off!
The shut-down of the DNA codes was reversed and the codes were switched back on again when feelings of love, joy, gratitude and appreciation were introduced. This experiment was later followed up with HIV positive patients. Feelings of love, gratitude and appreciation increased the resistance in these patients significantly.
The research that is happening in this relatively new field of epigenetics goes on to prove what the masters and ṛṣis discovered and gave to humanity in their research reports thousands of years ago: in the Upaniṣads and other scriptures. Emotions have a higher value that the intellect and bliss is much higher in value than other emotions. Positive emotions have a huge impact on health and bliss is the ultimate healer of them all!
Living in the Ānanda Gandha will work beyond the emotions. It will not only relax the DNA, but will rejeuenate, reshape and rebuild the DNA towards divinity. That means, it will change your whole physiology and psychology towards the permanent state of bliss. It will not only take you to a different timeline, it will take you beyond time itself.
