Definition Sanga (Blissful Community)

"A sanga is a huge group of people who expand to connect their consciousness to the energy of Existence."

  • THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM When an enlightened master creates a sanga, a community, he is creating a huge group of people who are expanding from the 'I' to 'We'. They move beyond their small ego and connect to Existence. It is only when the connection to Existence gets cut, depression happens. Depression is nothing but consciously cutting away all the channels of communicating to Existence; contracting from connecting to Existence. Feeling connected is enough to be free from depression. A sanga keeps a huge group of people connected to the energy of Existence. Enlightened Master Buddha created the dhamma and sanga. Dhamma refers to his teachings and sanga to his community. Understand: the Buddha is the center of the energy field. The huge groups of people who understood the secret of expansion, who experienced the feeling of connectedness to the energy is the sanga. The teachings to transfer the technology of expansion to people is what is called dhamma. The source of the awakening is the Buddha. The awakening that happens with the expansion is the sanga. Internalising the expansion and experiencing the awakening is sanga. The sanga happens in order to reach the energy to the world. The secret of expansion in order to experience the awakening is dhamma. When the awakening happens out of connecting to the whole of Existence, it is called enlightenment. The Gopis – the cowherd disciples of Krishna, the enlightened Master from Bharat, were the ones who most naturally and joyfully imbibed the truth of expansion. They were able to experience the awakening more easily than even rishis and other sages. Out of sheer innocence and trust upon Krishna, the understanding flowered in them. In the life of those who understand the truth of expansion, there will be continuous excitement, because every moment they are linked to new happenings. The depth and intensity of their life will be on a completely different plane The very sanga will take them closer to buddhahood! And so they will find the dhamma to be so sweet! An ashram is a smaller sanga. The groups of people world over who are continuously getting initiated into the understanding, are the bigger sanga. Any sanga is a beautiful space where you will find life solutions so casually and unexpectedly. It is designed that way. If you enter into the sanga, clicks will happen so casually, and growth will happen so easily. The beauty of the sanga is that an individual remains an individual inspite of the sanga. Without his individuality getting destroyed, he flowers.
