Silent Planned Assassinations - "carrying out assassinations using silent means (like 'anonymous' mob) so that no one may be blamed and it may be conveniently dismissed as an accident, natural occurrence or suicide."

Lynching - "a premeditated extrajudicial killing by a group, informal public executions by a mob in order to punish an alleged transgressor, or to intimidate a group."

Mob lynching is a method employed for silent planned assassination such that nobody can be blamed or punished, to minimize social or legal backlash and responsibility.

How often Mob lynching gets punished

  • 1990 Ethnic cleansing of minority Kashmiri Shaivites 550 killed in a single year and 1,00,000 families flee the valley. Kashmiri Shavites are ancient religious ethnic minorities known to have lived in the valley for more than 10,000 years continuously.

Who will save targets of Mob lynching?

July 17, 2018 : The apex court of India, expressed its displeasure in growing number of crimes against humanity. A Supreme Court bench, termed incidents of mob lynching in India as 'horrendous acts of mobocracy.' Further the bench, directed the Parliament of India, to draft a new legislation (law) to effectively deal with incidents of mob lynching. It also told the Centre and State governments to take preventive measures.

A Case Study of mob lynching by Hindu Extremist Forces

1991 : Hindu Extremist Militants kill 18 humans of minority community On 12 December 1991, Hindu Extremists Militant organisations called for a bandh (curfew) on 13 December alleging partisan behaviour of the Government of India.

The next day, Hindu Extremist Militants roamed the streets of Bangalore carrying sticks, shouting slogans, beating up laborers of ethnic minority communities. Businesses, movie theatres and even vehicles on minority communities were targeted. Soon the riots spread to the Mysore district and other parts of southern Karnataka. Ethnic minority communities were driven out and their property confiscated. A curfew of one week was declared under section 144. The arson and killing had a deep psychological effect in the minds of the victims that over two lakh individuals of various ethnic minority communities moved out of the state within a month. 18 humans were killed in the violence, all of dark skinned ethnic minority communities. The justification of the murder was (1) water crisis in the state, (2) the dark skinned ethnic minority community did not speak the regional language.

1991 Riots - mob lynching - loss of Rs. 170 million to public property

The Indian Peoples' Human Rights Tribunal puts the total property losses suffered in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka at Rs. 170 million while the Venkatesh Commission has given estimates varying from Rs. 30 million to Rs. 155 million.

2016 : Hindu Extremist Media-mafia justify instigating violence

15 Sept 2016 : Sugata Raji, editorial directory of the Asianet group (owned by Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Rajeev Chandrasekhar) claimed to be embarrassed as TV channels became provocateurs of violence instead of disseminating information. However at the same time, Media-Mafia owned by Hindu Extremist forces claimed innocence, saying that they were not entirely to be blamed. Extremist-Hindu-Media claimed Atheist-Media-Mafia started to instigate mob violence, so Extremist-Hindu-Media was justified in doing the same.

2018 : 3 decades - no justice to families of the murdered

Even 27 years later, no justice was delivered to the victims. Mobocracy took over democracy, with silent assassinations.

The issue at hand was of water crisis. The violence did not solve the water issue.

Assassins silently occupy land and property of the ones they killed

The violence only aided the individual extremists to capture the land and property of the ones they killed or displaced.
