In The Words Of The Avatar

I am Sadaśiva the Ever-Auspicious, Eternal, Immutable, Beginningless, Endless. I create these infinite Manifest and Unmanifest Universes again and again, through the power of My third eye. I am the Hub of the great wheel on which millions upon millions of galaxies spin. As Advaita, Oneness, I am the spindle and the fulcrum of All that Exists. As adiśakthi, the Primal Power.

I am ananta koti brahmahanda yoni,

the womb and the Lord of numberless worlds.

As Ishwara, the Infinite Lord and Doer,

I create, sustain, destroy,

delude and liberate through My grace.

As the ten incarnations of Vishnu,

I grace this loka again and again,

to preserve and to destroy As Arunagiri Yogishwara

pradeepa sarvesham,

the Illuminator of all, I walk sun-clad and free In the sacred land of Arunachala.

As Meenakshi, who graces with a glance, I conquer and reign, heal and bless.

As THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM BHAGAWAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, the Eternally Blissful,

I manifest yet again to remind what has been forgotten. And as You, I remember and rejoice.

My story can never be told for there exists no observer who is apart from Me.

My story can never be understood for the very dhi, the intelligence which illumines Me, is also I.

My abode is mano-vachamagocharam a realm hidden from mind and words. Yet a million voices chant My name and sing My glory in the songs of their own Existence.

I am the sweetness in nectar, I am the salt in the ocean I an the bliss in blissful And the misery in the miserable. The goodness in the good And the wickedness in the wicked; I am the wisdom in the wise and the ignorance in the ignorant IsalsoI.

I am hidden in the essence And possibility of All, As the tree in the seed, As the fire in the flintstone, As the fragrance in the flower, As the unheard silence in the music,

I am the Potter and the pot, The hands that holds And the force that moulds, The wheel that spins And the very clay itself.

All is my sweet līla, to celebrate myself. In a million forms and ways – Eko'ham bahusyam And when the play is over By my own nissankalpa My causeless will, Withdrawing this into Me, I alone remain In eternal glory Kaivalya.

The Grand Descent

Of Consciousness Into Form

The story of The Avatar is the story of the Cosmos itself - the grand Descent of Consciousness into form. Pure Consciousness pervades everything. The great rishis of Hindu tradition reveal that both the manifested and the unmanifested universe are pure Consciousness, and matter is simply projected Consciousness. The subtlest field of Consciousness of the cosmos, which is in a constant state of emergence (spanda) is called Sadaśiva.

The Happening of the Avatar is a Purāna Not History

Both are different. In Western countries, what they write is history. In Eastern countries, the history that we write is called purana! There is a big difference between the two. History means, that which happens in the two dimensions of length and breadth. For example, 'He was born at this time this morning. He did this at this particular time this evening. He did this at this time at night.' It is two-dimensional; meaning, what you see in everyday life.

This is called history.

Purana is the recording of multiple dimensions. Every happening has an impact on all eleven dimensions of the universe. Whoever can see the impact of every happening on all eleven dimensions and records it is Vyasa, and what he records is purana. Vyasa is not the name of some individual. It is a title. The Vyasa who compiled the eighteen puranas and four Vedas is called Badanarayana.

Understand: His name is Badanarayna; his title is Vyasa
