14. The Nithyananda Order

"The Nithyananda Order has been created to facilitate not just sany¢s¤s but also people from all walks of life to walk the path to enlightenment. Its intention is to bring the Vedic tradition of enlightenment to life in today's light, for today's seeker, whatever may be his worldly aspirations. It is an opportunity and a gift to every individual from the energy of enlightenment. It is a lifestyle centered on raising the individual consciousness." - Nithyananda

There are 6 categories of people in the Nithyananda order:

• • Upakrame´a brahmacarya and nai¾°ika brahmacharya Preliminary stages for the unmarried who wish to tread the path of sany¢s.
• • V¢naprastha sany¢s Initial stage for the married who decide to move in the path of sany¢s.
• • P¦r´a sany¢s State indicating the complete flowering of the quality of sany¢s in oneself.
• • Parivr¢jaka sany¢si Wandering mendicants who wish to be identified with and formally initiated into sany¢s under the Nithyananda Order
• • G¨hasta Stage for the unmarried or married who wish to tread the path of enlightenment outside the purview of asceticism.
• • Mission Order Person can stay in his own home and run a department for the mission.
