1. Ajna Chakra - Lessons 1 to 3

'Chakra' means wheel, something circular that rotates, which is how our centers look to those who can perceive them.

The chakras lie along a central line that runs up our spine from the tailbone to the crown of the head. This central conduit for energy is called Sushumna. Entwined around it on the left and right sides of the spine are two other energy lines, the Ida and the Pingala, which carry feminine and masculine energy respectively. Ida and Pingala run from the tailbone to the nostrils, weaving back and forth around Sushumna. Wherever they meet and cross lies a chakra.

Chakras are the subtle energy hubs of our body. The seven major chakras are:

Sahasrara Ajna Vishuddhi Anahata Manipuraka Swadishthana Muladhara

Though they have no physical location, these energy centers are present along the length of the body.

Chakras roughly correspond to, and influence the activity of, the important glands of the body. The chakras deeply impact our physical and mental health. Chakras are, in turn, affected by our thoughts and emotions. The chakras are direct channels to the boundless energy of the Cosmos.

Immoderate lifestyles, stress and negative emotions can 'lock' the chakras, or cause them to malfunction.

Without even being aware of it, we are continuously blocking off these important sources of energy.

That's why almost all physical and mental illness can be partly or wholly cured, simply by cleansing and energizing the corresponding chakra.

These chakras were discovered a long time ago during the Vedic age. In fact, in many of the spiritual chants, you will find referen Today science has proved that there is a gland located near each of these chakras that is related to that particular chakra. These seven chakras supply energy to the glands.

These seven major chakras deeply influence our physical, emotional and mental activities.

Chakras are energy centers and if they are kept in a cleansed and energized condition, they can cause us to live an ecstatic and healthy life.

Dis-ease is only an imbalance in any one of these chakras, because our body and mind are rooted in our inner consciousness. Keeping these chakras in a healthy state, we can see a transformation happening in us at the mental and physical levels

After World War I, a biplane was abandoned near a remote tribal settlement in Asia. The tribal people had never seen an aircraft in all their lives. There was a lot of excitement and commotion about it and a big crowd gathered around it. They wondered what it might be and each one started giving some suggestion about it.

They finally concluded that since it had wheels, it must be a bullock cart! News spread in the village about the new bullock cart. There was a lot of celebration in the village and the biplane was taken around the settlement yoked to bullocks, and it served as a bullock cart.

Some weeks later, a young tribal boy who had returned from the city where he was studying, saw the biplane. He got into it and looked around. He saw all the gears and mechanisms in it. He fiddled with the switches and levers.

Suddenly, the engine came to life!

He managed to taxi the plane on the ground for a short distance and the villagers were shocked at what they saw. The boy had seen tractors being used and declared to the people that the biplane was not a bullock cart but some kind of tractor.

There was great celebration once again and the biplane started being used as a tractor!

Six months passed by and a retired army officer came to the village. He saw the biplane being used as a tractor and was shocked! He told the villagers that it was not a tractor and that the plane could actually fly. They refused to believe him because the only things they had ever seen flying were birds! The army officer got into the aircraft, flew it for a short while and landed.

The villagers were wonderstruck. Then they understood its true potential.

Understand: man is a wonderful mechanism meant to fly. But we don't know our true potentiality.

We have a very limited view of ourselves. Most of us operate only as a bullock cart, at the instinct level, surrendering to our emotions.

Just like this, there are mechanisms or gears inside us, called the chakras, which are boundless energy centers. Each of them is associated with a particular emotion within us. If we understand how to handle the emotion properly, we can function as an aircraft.

Each chakra is connected to a different endocrine gland in the physical body. The endocrine glands govern our hormones and therefore also our emotions.

Any positive or negative experiences we have had relating to the emotion of a specific chakra is stored inside that chakra.

The second chakra, lying between the navel and the pubic bone, governs fear. If we have had a deep fright at some point in our lives, the feeling of it is stored in that chakra. It determines how we react to future situations that remind us of our fear. It may block us from achieving our goals in life by interfering

whenever we need courage to face our situations. The existence and location.

It has been proven that when a person is locked with a particular negative emotion, the chakra associated with that emotion shrinks to the size of a coat button. It becomes that small.

But when the same person experiences the associated positive emotion, the chakra expands to the size of a cartwheel! This is the effect that our emotions have on these energy centers, our chakras.

Our energy flow in these chakras is blocked by our negative emotions and activated by our positive emotons and we are totally unaware of it!

In Sanatana Hindu Dharma, the highest God you can experience is the Third Eye - Ajna Chakra.

The Ajna Chakra is the center between the eyebrows, is known as the Third Eye.

Every Shakti manifested from the inner space of an individual begins with Third Eye. The Third Eye must be awakened for Shaktis (powers) to manifest through anyone.

The ancient Vedic tradition gave the name Ajna Chakra (the sixth chakra) to the Third Eye. In yogic literature, it is described as a subtle centre of consciousness in the region.

'Ajna' means command' and 'cakra' means ' wheel' or 'disk'. Ajna cakra is known as the 'Cakra Raja' – the king of cakras, because all the different energy centers in your body are ruled by this cakra. 'Ajna' is the seat of the will-power controlling mystical powers like clairvoyance, telepathy and command over natural forces and ultimately, experiencing oneness.

Third Eye is described as Ajna in Sanskrit.

Ajna means Will. Will to exist or Will to collapse; any Will you carry is Ajna. If your Will gives you the hope about life, you will have life. If it gives you hope about death, you will have death. Anything you decide with your Will, you manifest that.

Understand, every breathing you do, you are giving life to your Will to manifest. Every rupee you spend, you vote for that. If you are spending one rupee on pizza, you vote for pizza and its future. If you spend one rupee on Coca Cola, you vote for Coca Cola and for its future.

On anything you spend money, you vote for it. On any idea you breathe, you make that into reality.

Life starts with SEEING.

Whether you are blind or have physical eyes, you continue to see through your inner eyes.

Third Eye vision is nothing but 'Conscious Seeing'! It activates the non-mechanical parts of your brain. That is why you start experiencing extraordinary powers like telepathy, materialization, teleportation and clairvoyance.

Third Eye is like a door to the Cosmos. You can receive anything from the Cosmos though the Third Eye. Same way, you can send any command to the Cosmos through the Third Eye. Anything sent through the Third Eye to the Cosmos is immediately experienced!

Third Eye is not just the brow center; it is the Browsing Center also! Just like how you can upload or download anything through the Internet world through an internet browsing center, through the Third Eye you can download and upload anything in the Cosmos. It is the Cosmic browsing center.

Any Akashic Records that hold the imprints of every happening in the whole cosmos in the past, present and future stored in the etheric layer (akasha), can be downloaded by a person, when his Third Eye is opened through proper initiation.

Third Eye Awakening makes you immediately experience God. The moment you awaken the Third Eye, you become God. That is why all Hindu Gods, whether Shiva or Devi, or Ganapati or Skanda will have the Third Eye. All the visions or darshan, the extraordinary things happen in people's life, only because of the Third Eye energy.

God minus Third Eye is man; man plus Third Eye is God.

The Third Eye is a direct bridge to God

Let form be filled with essence of life-breath to the crown of head. Cross the life-breath by penetrating with one-pointed attention at the bridge_x0002_like center of the eyebrows (called the third eye). Let mind be beyond the movement of thoughts [nirvikalpam manah]. In that all-rising supreme state of Sadashiva, showers the light (vision) of all pervadingness.

Beautifully Paramaśiva describes about this Ajna and its power - "More and more you think about your body and mind, the power of Ajna goes down. More and more you think authentically, responsibly, it manifests as what you want. More and more you look at the Cosmic principles, the energy of the Ajna goes up."

More and more and more thinking about your body and mind, impossibilities, powerlessness, makes the energy of the third eye come down. More and more if you think responsibly, the energy of the third eye make you manifests what you want.

The Third Eye is blocked by nothing but your decision to be comfortable with your small identity and small life. It is the hard truth!

You feel that you continuously need to protect yourself against the Unknown, because you think you are powerless, you are weak, you are ignorant. Building your identity based on such wrong, misguided information is ego. Continuing to carry on with the same ego is arrogance. These two block your Third Eye. When you open yourself to your own highest possibilities without fear or doubt, you will simply, smoothly, experience all the extraordinary powers. That is why children are able to express these powers far more easily than adults!

Your will, AJNA is powerful enough to make your desire and belief both redundant. Understand, you desire for great health but you always believe you will only be tired sick of dragging your life.

Your desire is health, your belief is sick or clinically fit. But if you WILL, install the WILL of immortality of the Paramaśiva , this both, your desire, and belief both can become redundant, irrelevant.

Bringing the will to play and making your belief and desire redundant is what is called JEEVAN MUKTI, Living Enlightenment.

Intra-organ itself is not Third Eye, not Ajna. just like two eyes, there is an intra-organ called Third Eye, but that is not Ajna. Ajna is the power, which activates the Third Eye and manifest through the Third Eye.

This rubbing of the turmeric and applying kumkum activates, detoxifies, the intra-organ called Third Eye.

It makes you egoistic. Seriousness kills creativity. It destroys spontaneity.

Seriousness is not the same as sincerity. Sincerity is focusing on the task with enthusiasm and youthfulness. Sincerity is giving the task your best without worrying excessively about the result. When you are serious, you don't enjoy; you don't laugh. How can you laugh when you are serious? With sincerity, there is no worry, there is only

enthusiasm.

Psychological planning on the other hand, is planning in your head with no relevance to time or space. It is just constant serious planning going on in your head, over and above the chronological planning.

It is actually nothing but complex negativity being applied to the chronological planning that has already been done. It keeps you thinking that you are serious and dutiful. But you get into a dull state because all your energy is going into analyzing the plan again and again

Chronological planning Vs Psychological planning.

One player is chosen to be the cherry tree, and stands in the middle of the play area. After being blindfolded, they spread their arms and fingers like branches. The other players hold on to their branches, like cherries. The tree asks "Are you ready?" When the cherries say yes, the cherry tree counts quickly to ten, as the cherries run away from the tree. The tree then shouts "Cherry drop" , all the cherries must stop moving. The tree (still blindfolded) must then find and touch all the cherries. The last player to be "collected" is the winner, and becomes the next tree.
